well i love his music i dont think he's talentless, you might not like his music but he has talent.

Exactly! I hate it when people are so "I don't like them so they're shit". You don't have to love his music, there's a lot of bands that you guys probably listen to that I hate. For example I don't like Paul McCartney's music but there's no doubt that he's talented. But you have to recognise that Pete Doherty HAS talent. He was talented at school obviously with the grades he achieved and he is talented in the music industry. Saying he has no talent is just completely unfair.

Then where is the success

Well he had success with the Libertines until he became too involved in drugs is what I ment. They were bigger than you think. Rock music usually struggles to make it in the charts anyway but they still had 4 singles in the top 20, 2 in the top 10 and they're last album went to number one in the album charts. They also won Best New Band at the NME awards for 2002 and Best Band in 2004. With Babyshambles he's had several singles in the top ten plus the album.

Yes....all of his bands were shit and the man has no talent, that's why the Libertines and Babyshambles (still going) were so successful and had such a huge fan-base.

You obviously have no idea what your talking about and should refrain from giving fuck wit opinions before you have actually read up on Pete Doherty and his bands and learnt what an idol he was in 2002/3. And also how many thousands of people including many from the music industry itself believed that the Libertines had 'kick-started the new British music renaissance' and stated that both Pete Doherty and Carl Barat had 'Changed British Music'.

As for stating openly that you cant wait for him to kill himself, you can't get much lower than that. To say you would like ANYONE dead is a very sad and malicious thing to say. But as the saying goes 'what goes around comes around' and i'm sure you'll get your comeuppance. Other people have been able to argue their point with fair replies without stooping to your level so i'm sure thinking before you post may be a good start for next time.

Until the police have investigated futher though, I don't think anyone is going to know the truth.

As for me I sincerly hope there turns out to be a simple explanation for those photos and he will remain innocent in my eyes until proven guilty. There's just something that's not quite right about those photos but I just can't put my finger on it.

It's heartbreaking to think that someone who was idolized by so many poeple for his poetry, talant and music is now slowly killing himself, physically and mentally, in front of those very same people.

I don't know why, after Kurt Cobain's death, everytime i listen to some Nirvana songs, I feel in a different world, i get soooo down... The lyrics and Kurt Cobain's soothing voice just make me feel so sad..

But Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton makes me cry everytime... its just soo sad..

I have to say I think I've heard more soothing voices than Kurt Cobain? Are you sure your not just picturing him.

I didn't realise it was a rare item...mainly because I have one, and I've never got my hands on any rare items ever!

Haha bad topic for me this. I used to like Boyzone, Backstreet Boys, Five and Blue...

Thank god my music tastes have changed.

However my favourite band was Queen so I had some sense. Queen are/were amazing and I used to like Guns N'Roses too as my mum played them being a huge fan herself. I grew up with them basically. Very nice

A fantastic band! Saw them live at Earls Court in December. I recommend the dvd too.

Yeah that's the trouble with having a friend with younger sisters...still it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I've been playing Beautiful Disease to help recover today

Went to the Avril Lavigne concert last night. The support band 'The Glitterati' were fantastic! It was my brother that had introduced them to me and I thought they were great. Got slightly crushed by the crowd but it was worth it.

Anyone else into, heard or seen this band?
