this reply was really hard and criticle of this blog. i think that the gnr team should appreciate the people here, even if some are pesimistic. they are the most loyal of the blogs, most available and have done alot to stop the bullshit as it comes. and by the way del it goes with the teritory. if you don't like being treated like shit the do something. the people want the album, and i can't go 10 mins without reading it 20 times. so if thats not loyal enough then maybee it is best you make a blog that suits your fancy. as for me i'm sticking in here because bitchy loyal people are better then nothing. yaeh it sucks to hear all this shit but what has any of the 'family done to help keep it real? i amazes me that youwould be so bitter and then go on o say rockn roll isn't conformity. funny sounds fmiliar. i just want the same thing. but you can't blame them.

that can only leave room for at the most 5 to 6 NEW tracks which would be a disapointment to most people that have been wating forever for this cd...

with this new album I am wondering how axl(you) are, or if, you are worried about cultural imperialism the issues in regards to the people that will be effected by these beliefs and may evolve from them. I have read the lyrics and I can't draw the connection for it myself, but i am sure that others will see it differently and be very hostile. How are you prepared to handle this and do you think there will be an effect on this communist region? perhaps you could follow up on this blog with some insight to this subject.

The fact that this board has turned into a place where you have to hate Axl or Slash or fucking Finck is such a fucking shame.

Slash with Axl helped build the most dangerous band on earth, creating riffs that will go down in history and to say Finck is better than him is well fucking laughable, i love Finck, the look , the playing the energy but he is not better than Slash and has not contributed on the same level to music ( yet ).

Im no longer interested in Slash but do not hate him, i do appreciate the fact that he can be labled a guitar god by most fans and has earned that.

I love wathcing Finck but technicaly he is not at the level he should be, it may come with more time but he is not on the same level as say BF, Fortus, or even Slash.Still the energy he puts into shows makes up for that.

To diss Slash is so fucking bad considering what he gave us.

I can't recall ever hearing ?finck. I find this kids opinion stretched. he wasn't even out of diapers when guns n roses was a band. slash is, and that's that. i also think that slash and the rest of the band have had a hard road to follow. everybody exspects the next best album, when in reality most bands might get a song or at least two from an album(i'm old, Istill call them albums). I really think the problem isn't his talent getting worse, it's probally the fact that he can't play his best shit.

i'm a long standing fan of ALL of them and i always hope for the best for each. so when i read thelack of interest in one over the other i know your just a newby or a nobody. peace

just curious, but what was the point in holding the music? i mean for the label. Fromthe sound of it, there isn't any gain for them. to me it seems more about keeping it down. also i'm curious what the PRO's say about this, if anything at all. funny i think that if it was slashand the rest of the old band they'd be dancing on thier toes for them.

Well, I know this topic is a bit lame, I never start a topic, but since I've been a Gn'R fan, all I hear and read about Axl is: he's an arsehole, he should go to prison for live and give all the bands' rights to Slash, he's the reason why one of the biggest R&R bands split up. I didn't really care at the beginning (i've just enjoyed the music), but it started to piss me off lately. I mean, he may not be the nicest guy on earth but you can't deny that he's as talented as a singer as Slash is with his guitar. It's always Axl vs. Slash and usually the credits go to Slash. I shouldn't care, people have different opinions, but everytime I read a review about a concert of this tour, I read what is more a comparison of old guns - new guns. For example (it's an article about the Download festival in the "Play" magazine):

"Which leads me nicely to the latest incarnation of Guns N' Roses. It all starts so well, on stage early and the one-two-three punch of 'Welcome to the Jungle', 'It's so easy' and 'Mr. Brownstone', but it soon becomes apparent that this show will be molested into farce. It's obviously one fuckhead playing intelligent, this article isn't objective at all, but I've just read another one from my country, it isn't much better, they see Gn'R as a joke, something like Axl Rose & support band. When will this shit stop? I don't know if after releasing the CD and touring things will be better. I mean, there are, of course, positive reviews, but compared to this crap, it doesn't even count. No, I don't give a shit about the media & press, I know they've always presented Axl as the "badass rock n' roller" BUT then I read on other Gn'R or Music forums the same crap. People DO believe Axl is a motherf***er who should leave the band. It makes me laugh sometimes; other times it makes me wonder: what did this guy do to them? They hate him more than the 9/11 terrorists.

my kids told me that there were four catogories for best that axl took hair, band, and i don't know the others but still, i read about people who think bad press is good press. but after a while bad press wins. people believe what they hear. the best thing for axl is good press, not bad. i thnk he knows it too. whether we like it or not it is not going to be easy to win over these characters and the more you give in to their demands the more you get pushed. axl caves to them. thats why the old band had such a hard time in the 90's, the critizism became a front issue and first it was steven, then izzy, then axl. slash has this way of staying out of trouble.(hiding behind the hair) but he still gets his if they can sling it. people like to pick on this band because they can. the big lables don't want him, never did, the people did, but they LOVE his money. it's a love hate relationship. axl needs to learn to look the bull in the eye and then embrace it, because the bear is much bigger. get the bull get the people. and by the way axl is the band, I put my money on control issues. thru the years i've heard it again and agian he has to have things a certian way. not to mention he don't kiss every ones ass. i don't know. all i know is he needs to get his ass back here.

So about 3 years ago, I heard Smells Like Teen Spirit on the radio and just fucking flipped out--craziest shit I'd ever heard (I grew up in a very musically conservative household--my asian father listens to Motown and acid rock and mother likes opera.) So I fell in love with Nirvana, and you know, Kurt hated Guns N' Roses so of course, being the impressionable idiot I was, I was like GnR sucks.

Flashforward about a year and 5 Nirvana albums later.

I was playing this little internet flash game called Power Fox and the first thing you fight is this big toad in Brazil. The background music hits and this high-pitched, venomous bad ass shrieks "Welcome to the Jungle" and my heart about stops as I get my ass kicked by the toad because I'm listening to the song. I look it up, and it's by those evil talentless fuckers that Kurt hates.

I listen to all of it, and then get the next song I see: "Estranged"

Estranged begins playing.

I decide that Kurt has no fucking idea what he's talking about.

I download a song called "November Rain. It is the most beautiful fuckign thing I have ever heard.

I never looked back from that moment.

They bitch when Axl is locked away in his mansion in Malibu for years on end, and then when he's out on tour again kicking ass they bitch about everything from what he wears to the setlist the band plays to the musicans HE selected to be in HIS band. What the fuck are these people doing on a GNR forum in 2006 other than trolling??
