For the benefit of those who can't see:

All I have tosay is if Bob fucking Dylan can go #1 with his piece of shit of an album...than certainly the Infamous Chinese D will.
Bob Dylan is far more influential than the new GN'R will ever be. He even influenced the old GN'R... I don't see where you're coming from...

So let me get this straight. As an American I'm suppsoed to sit back and ignore people coming here and insulting my country?
So DJ, you agree that Americans are all greedy capitalist pigs? Sad and very shallow. I'm sure the rest of the American Gunners here would not agree with you and not appreciate being called greedy capitalist pigs. If America sucks so bad, leave. It has nothing to do with a global community. It has everything to do with people coming here and using crass generalizations and showing their ignorance.
Dr. Serpentine, where are you from mate? I'm sure you strive to be like America. And for the record, I'm sure your country has scalpers too.
If you all hate America and American's so much, why listen to GnR? It makes no sense.
Because GN'R as with any band don't represent a fucking nation, politians and majority population do. It's music not international dealings. Does that make sense? Do you think that U2 represent Ireland? Do you think if people don't like England they shouldn't listen to Queen? Or Coldplay if they like the music? You claim they show their ignorance? You are advertantly proving their point by your method of defense, describing America as if it were the ultimate country and downtalking other countries. America comes first always, so thus its needs are primary, fuck the rest of the world, thus greedy. I'm not agreeing with their points I like America, but you are proving this point to be true. You act as ignorant as they.

To all those "internet tough-guys" badmouthing America, our citizen's, and our economic structure (which is the most successful in the history of mankind by the way) I'd like to speak for my fellow breathren and extend a heartfelt "FUCK YOU".
Just to clarify, I am Irish, and am a citizen of the US through family. I have also worked in the US. I am not an "internet tough guy." Yes america is the most successful economic structure. But it is equally true that you are the best at wasting resources. America has it's flaws as much as England or Ireland or China does.
Don't get so defensive over a petit remark, it's his ignorance that leads him to publicly insult a nation over something as stupid as concert tickets. So enough with patriotic bullshit.
Same thought applys to this, but your reactions are embarrassing, makes me ashamed of citizenship to be honest.
Patriotism is stupid, global community. You act as if the world revolves around america.
Enjoy battling the greedy capitalist pigs... You'll see what America is all about... But when the pigs beat you and gobble up all of the tickets, remember this.... Little do they see what is coming... What will hit them like an iceberg.... A sleeping giant awakened... A Chinese Democracy!!!
Hey here's an idea. Why don't you go fuck yourself. You seem to forget that this band you love so much is American too, you twat. Besides, the rest of the world is no different and I would wager that whichever sad little country you are from begs and borrows from us on a daily basis.
And zero response from those greedy motherfuckin yankees!Oh and you can go fuck yourself too mate.
I'm sorry to be missing these shows. if only it was 3 weeks later! Then I could go!

Axl? More than a modern Mozart? Don't make me laugh. I'm aware that's your opinion, I respect it, but i think it's ridiculous. Mozart shelled out so much good music in his life, that has survived to this day. If new gn'r survive for 250 years in peoples general listening, I will admit I was wrong.
-
who cares what a boston paper says.. people from boston are low class red sox fans.... what else needs to be said they dont know jack shit
That's a great attitude to take. Your point is unargueable because it's so well thought out.
-
I think this journalist is OK.
Stop whining.
It's ridiculous.
why are you here? people are naturally going to want to support their favorite bands and artists.
Normal people support their favourite buying the records and attending the concerts, not writing letters to journalists. Plus the Boston Herald didn't insult Axl at all. So what's your problem guys ?
If your favorite band is Guns N' Roses, you can't be under the illusion that this is still Guns N' Roses, it's a different band man. My favorite band is the original Guns N' Roses not new, (I don't even know why people have such an opinion when the only released officially mixed song was Oh My God, which was so sloppily put together) which is the same as many people here as far as I can see. I don't post much, but I don't understand why people bow before axl so much, he has done nothing to deserve the support he gets.
However, that rant is irrelevant. We're talking opinions here, and the way to support your fave band is indeed to buy the CD. You can't tell a critic he is wrong and doesn't do his job properly, if he didn't consider all the things that this letter is saying he should have considered, then he wouldn't be a music critic.
Also, just to be clear, I'm not saying he shouldn't have his opinion heard. But america is famed for every person believing their opinions to be of the utmost importance. Hence when an american sees something on T.V. that they don't like they "write a letter" to the TV station telling them how wrong they were to put that on the air.
In ireland, a newspaper doesn't get letters sent in complaining about opinion, cause opinion is opinion not fact.
-
Why did you send this letter?? Isn't he allowed to have his opinion about the songs??
Whatever, it's a good letter yes. However the writer expresses his own opinion on the tracks, and you are in no position to tell him that his opinion is wrong.**Sorry Gnar, missed your post, well I agree with you**
I know you guys mean well, but don't be silly. If Ace can't respond as you two suggested, then neither can the author publish his opinion in a newspaper/public forum. Ace is also entitled to his opinion.
Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. The Writer of the article expressed his opinion and that's his right
However, we are also entitled to our opinion about the demos and the writer's work. And that's exactly what ACE wrote. Ace did not call the Writer some ignorant moraless manipulator or any of that sort, but simply, ACE explained what he thinks the author of the article missed to consider in the Herald article.
That's why newspaper have that "Letters to the Editor" and "Feature" section aswell so we the public can participate in an intelligent manner.
I am aware that he is making his own opinion heard. However, there is no evidence that the said reporter did not consider these facts. The letter however still is trying to persuade the reporter that s/he is wrong.

The RDS is like 10 mins away from my house! But I can't go, cause I'm construction working in NYC in the summer.... So shit one. But about the seats, they're grand... I've never seated at them but you'll be able to see no problem.

New Axl pic
in 2006
Observation, Axl is looking all red and splotchy in lots of pics as of late. This is something that really seems to run in irsh blood and is caused by two things, drinking too much too often and/or anxiety (from being in public)I know, seems a stupid comment but it's a true observation regarding the ol' Irish souls.
This is true.

girls girls girls is a great song!
Haha, my mate hates newgnr but wanted to see motley crue (who he loves) and was intending to leave for GN'Rs performance. Shit one for him, though i did manage to tell him before he bought his ticket.

Christ Merck seems like a tool.
-
If they're not officially leaking material, what the fuck can they do to stop someone leaking it?
Who else is having an acces to the files of this songs as the COMPANY ITSELF!!!
In the other way MERCK could be suing HIMSELF!!!
..."for not being aware, careful, experienced (but he is experienced now since '87) and not running the business with a properly education, managing 13 fuckin years and counting to release one single album with an superstar artist in his hands like AXL that albums should just rain like an hail from the sky every month!!!
If they are not behind this shit...than this COMPANY REALLY SUCKS!!!
That's crap. It's more likely someone on the inside shared it with a friend and that the friend got hacked.
-
yeah, it really reminds me of them, especially the drums and the intro on better... I still like it... but I really feel a sort of rap-rock backing track to better.
-
sorry but it has to be said... linkin park

Albums by other artists are released earlier than they used to be due to the internet leaking it before it hits the shops. Eminems Encore album is a prime example of this. Most albums in the U.K are released on a monday where as Encore was released the friday before in fear of it being leaked onto the net. Recently we have seen at least 3 new GN'R songs make there presence known on the internet and having the fans going crazy including myself. Axl may be an expert in not being seen or heard for a long time but he won't be able to keep the album eventually making its way onto the internet no matter how hard he attempts to. He will be risking millions in sales if he doesn't act soon
i think it is just a gift for the really fans... and i agree...the finished versions will sound for sure different...
No way. Why would he leak songs as a gift for the fans. If they did that they would post them on the official website or on a bands myspace. Not leak it and then have management saying you're not allowed download it. If axl had released it as a gift for the fans don't you think there would have been a more official way of doing it? Also he wouldn't release two clips of the same song with no end... Highly unlikely.
Congratulations to Axl and Co.

I genuinely don't understand. They've let you down... again... and it's congratulations? Wow Axl actually did something for the fans after giving them misleading press releases etc. "You will hear music this year." We have heard it live, but nothing else. There is the leaks, but those weren't allowed...
How's his treatment of them worthy of such loyalty from these fans?
I don't get it.
