What can I say...RIR3 was average and no matter what, old GNR songs will always be better off left to the original band. Nobody can do a "Nighttrain" solo like Slash did...no matter how you put it, it is never as perfect as it was when Slash played it.
Nobody can play the drum on "Nighttrain" exactly the same as Adler or Sorum did. Of course they have their own style and I can't say that the show was horrible because the musicians did not exactly replicate Slash's, Steven's or Duff's parts. Every musician is different and there is no comparing.
Although I would like to commend the band of playing another band's songs because that is a difficult task.
As for the new songs, "Madagascar" "The Blues" and "Chinese Democracy" are great.
The solos in Madagascar and The Blues is the closest to a GnR solo.

there botherd bout them cos it will start up a big trade and they dont want people makin money off it and it may also affect the sales of the official releases of concerts

So do they search you for cameras, etc on your way in?
They didn't search me but they saw me holding a camera. Any other way if I hid the camera in my bag they would of caught me inside anyways.
There are employees walking around and watching.

Izzy was not there and cameras were not allowed. I took my camera with me but they would not let me take it in.
So how was the show? It would've been funny if someone had snuck a camera in there and taken a picture, and then one of the guys on the stage saw the camera and jumped off the stage to get it. Pulling an Axl.
The show was awesome and Steven was great on the drums.
I answered this question with a long response in the Velvet Revolver section regarding Adler's Appetite.

I went to see Adler's Appetite on Jan. 8 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA.
They were great and the band sang two new songs. I can't remember the name, but I wonder if the songs were recorded with Steven.
I think I even saw Brook, the guy who manages Steven Adler's Official site and is his friend. He looked exactly like the guy in the photo with Steven on his website.
He was taking photos of the band right infront of me and then he turned around and smiled.
Anyways the show was awesome. I saw a lot of oldschoolers there and new fans as well.

The title Chinese Democracy probably has something to do with the songs on the album. Maybe Axl is trying to make a political statement but its a catchy title.

Isn't Axl's birthday in February?
AC/DC vs KISS
in MY WORLD
Posted
AC/DC just because they are pure rock.
Kiss is more glam rock with a bunch of commercial songs.
