Get the Vox AD30VT. They are aroud the same price of the 30w Marshall and they sound a million times better. They use a tube in the power amp section to get a somewhat tube-like tone. When I went to buy my new amp, I tried all those Marshalls and Line 6s but the Vox came out the winner because the tone was very warm and tube-like.

Nah, I think Zakk Wylde has Slash beat on the signature gear front...he's got the guitar (three of them), wah, distortion, strings, amp, and I think he's got pickups now, too, or will soon.

+ all the other countless things he endorses (Marshall MGS....yuck)

You should just save a little more for a standard. Better wood, better pickups, set neck, more cosmetics.

An LP-100 is an alright guitar but it will not be much of an upgrade.

BTW, do you have a decent amp. An amp accounts for a good portion of your tone

Got a guitar shop near you? Pop in and have a test. I too want some wah and this is what I shall be doing on Tuesday.

I played it before (Vox 847). It is a very good sounding wah with and without OD/Distortion. I compared it with an Original Crybaby and the Zakk Wylde wah. The Vox blew both out of the water. It had better sweep and it did not suck out alot of tone either.

I'm looking for a wah also, I have got to replace that orig. crybaby. I have only tried the vox one but I also want to try that Dunlop 530Q(i think thats the name) and the Slash one.

/\/\/\ I was talking about a different one. The one I have is just for guitar and bass. Both are very good and cheap.

I use the Korg GA-30. It's great, it lets you tune up to 2.5 steps flat. It's pretty cheap too; I picked mine up for $15 at Guitar Center.

My friend puts those Zakk Wylde strings (.70) on for the bottom 3 and uses Ernie Ball Extra Slinky (.08s) for the top 3 strings. Talk about being unbalanced.

I have that guitar. Its a good one to learn on before you spend alot of money on another one. My new Epi LP classic plus should be comming in thursday. I can't believe the deal musician's friend has going on that guitar. Its only $380!

What I did was my friend left his acoustic over my house when I got my first guitar (electric). I played both just as much. The plus about the acoustic is that it makes your fingers more tough and the electric will help you to get used to using your pinky.

His 1st and 3rd albums were good.
