  1. dont be so upset here---he wasn't euro-bashing so chill out. i agree with his comments--european fans for the most part dont give a shit who they see, thus they respond with open arms to guns. it's easy. why, cause there are a few huge guns fans on this message board from europe? america dude, it's fuckin SHOW US THE BEEF over here.

i just hope that america gets a fucking tour at this point. chinese democracy? ain't gonna hold my breath.

bash me if you want. you're all probably 14 anyway, juvenile behavior as usual around here.

  2. its an incredible show. before they went into pretty tied up dizzy goes, 'here's something for all you hardcore gnr fans." i was singing every word and diz kept peeking at me from the stage. after he looked at me and goes, "you fucking rock man." it was very cool. my only direct connection to glory days GNR!

  3. just got back from the hookers n blow show here in hartford. it was a good show, all covers. they played sweet child, patience, used to love her, bad obsession, and PRETTY TIED UP!!! it was sick...they also played some stones tunes, tom petty, and kiss.

i managed to get up to him in between dizzy talking to some slutty groupies and asked about CD. he looked at me and goes, "you'll see it."

breaking news, diz. anyways, it was a good time. check em out if they come to your town.

  4. at the philly show slash had 6 stacks. 2 for distortion, 2 for clean, 2 for talkbox during Illegal I, slither breakdown, etc., since a talkbox needs to run to a separate amp and needs to be blended with the microphone/p.a. system.

whoever was the guy that said slash uses a 30 watt combo plugged through the p.a., no offense, is out of his mind.

  5. 2 biggest factors you guys are forgetting here:

    1. bedroom guitar playing cannot compare to 3 or 6 Marshall stacks, cranked, and top of that, run through a 20,000 watt arena p.a. system. it just cannot be done. even if you crank your stack to 10 in a basement, it won't be near the same.

    2. most importantly, slash's tone comes from his fingers. a certain magic happens beteween a seasoned player's fingers that simply can't be replicated. the things that 'make' his tone, the "slash tone," come from licks played in a certain way, at a certain tempo, over certain chords.

it's nearly impossible to copy slash exactly unless you clone him. whatever floats yer boat, i know it does mine!

  6. has anyone here seen that penn and teller clip of slash wailing, then he does the rat in the hat trick onstage, the magic trick?

then he takes his second solo?

well, he does this trick when he's fretting the fretboard then reaches up to the tuning peg area of the headstock and does this crazy 'wah wah wah wah' jimmy page like thing woth his right hand. it looks like he messes with the strings, but i'm not sure.

i would love to know how he does it, hopefully you guys can help

    np

  7. Axl looks ok there. Looks better with a beard anyway, but those braids have gotta go.

At least hes hes still alive! But why was he at a Korn party and not in the studio workin on CD....... unless its finished and he was celebratin!!! <_<

And how the fuck has this thread grown so fuckin fast! :o Unbelievable!

    Grimo.

what, axl can't venture out of the studio once in a while, even if the new album isn't finished yet?

  8. the quotes are old get over it

why the fuck does everyone feel the need to say this about everything?

"this is old. already posted, blah blah"

    so fucking what?

i'm posting it again. oh,and by the way, uyi's are 15 years old now anyway. let's just not talk about them, ok?

shave and go home you losers

  9. appetite for waiting does bring up some good points.

    MaKin, as do you.

i am obviously a massive guns fan, but i'm also a big motley fan as well.

jesting or not, i think nikki sixx has quite an inferiority complex when it comes to all things guns. the crue were on the scene half a decade before guns, and guns surpassed them by leaps and bounds. personally, i don't think motley crue are on the same level musically as guns. nikki sixx wrote some good songs, but axl is a complete visionary as an artist and slash is simply annointed when it comes to his craft.

emo or not, nikki sixx should not be calling out axl or any member of guns for that matter. and i highly doubt slash a)passed out from drinking and/or B) tommy lee had the balls (pardon the pun) to put his balls on slash's chin.

  10. Fuck that. He's just havin' a laugh. Don't take it so personally, he never insulted you. He never insulted Axl either if you think about it. They were just 2 bands that used to rock out and hang together it's all gravvy B)

i like the way you put that kev. good man. i just have more loyalty to guns i guess. it's all good.

  11. this made me fucking shit a brick. seems like motley crue still have a little bit of a stick up their chubby asses 'cause they will never come within a light year of our boys.

they are entitled to their opinions, but, as far as i'm concerned, fuck nu motley crue. axl emo? haha don't think so there frankie ferranna.

Well, Motley Crue appear in the latest issue of Maxim and let’s just say they haven’t quite let go of their fued with GNR.

    Vince:

A band is only as good as its last record, so you're really competing with yourself. People keep this rivalry with Guns N Roses going, but it's crazy. You don't hold a grudge for 15 years. It's stupid. Why look back?

    Tommy:

When Guns was opening for us, Slash thought he could keep up with us drinking Jack. So we started ripping em back. Slash throws up. We got him back to one of our rooms, laid him down on the bed, put our nut sacs right on his chin and took a fucking Polaroid of it. I think we laminated it and made that his tour pass.

    Nikki:

The thing with Axl is as much as I love him, he's kind of a fucking emo fag. He's not really a dude. He's like the Wizard of Oz behind a curtain making a lot of noise. He never stepped up to the plate when Vince challenged him. Axl wasn't into getting wild. I think that's his inner-emo. He's so fucking artsy. I'm pulling it out in the press. Axl if you're there: Lose your inner-emo. Come back to us. Dude, let's rock.
