It's about time for his yearly checkup. Slash hates going to the dentist!
Yeah well who doesn't?!
-
you like the Clockwork Orange hat more?
Nah, I'm just hoping they progressevly get smaller and less tall until their non existant. It used to be cool but now the ones he wears are plasticy looking and gimicky.
He looks pretty cool just wearing a baseball cap. I hate that fucking top hat now, and you're right about the plastic. It looks awful now, which is sad Part of thinks he probably doesn't even want to wear it half the time, but whatever TV channel he's on basically says "No, you have to wear the top hat" for fear that nobody will recognise him. Which in a way is true, I know a few people who know him as "the guitarist with a top hat".
Yeah, but come on. It's not hard to recognize Slash even without the top hat.
I also hope he loses it. He can bring it out every now and again, but when it's all the time it just doesn't feel right.
Yeah I agree that Slash wearing the top hat all the time is sort of overkill. It loses its novelty when you see it constantly. I think that it should be saved for special occassions.

I don't want some American Idol douche singing for VR. I can see a failure written all over that.
I agree that I wouldn't want an American Idol winner (or loser for that matter) in Velvet Revolver. It just doesn't seem right.
-
I'm not homophobic by any means and I agree that Adam can sing. However, I don't really think that an openly gay man would be the right fit for VR.
-
Not exactly sure why Perla felt the need to share that with everyone on twitter.

Narrating a Jimi Hendrix documentary today. There's a couple facts in the script I was not aware of.
Ah they should of given that royalty to Hendrix's #1 fan, Prince. It's obvious where he gets all his licks and moves from.
That may be so but Prince is pretty eccentric and not one to talk so I don't think that he would be the right choice.
Well just like how Axl narrarated Queen's documentary I thought it would be extremely fitting for Prince, whose not an eccentric speaker but a rather reserved and intelligent one, to do Jimi's. But whatever Slash is a good candidate regardless.
Dick Clark tried once to interview Prince and he said it was the hardest interview that he ever tried to do. He said that during the whole interview Prince sat with his back toward him and barely answered most questions. Dick said that the few questions that he did answer he gave vague one word answers. For example Dick told him that he heard that he played quite a few different instruments and asked him if that was true. Prince's answer was "maybe". Dick then asked him how many instruments he could play and Prince's response was "many". Dick said that the whole interview was like that and he finally had to give up. To me that doesn't sound like a good candidate to narrate a documentary. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Prince fan and I love his music but I think that the guy is just a little out there.

BTW: This chick is on the GNR: Behind the Music. She's the older looking lady in the beginning of the episode.
Yeah I know who she is. If she is in fact the one (and I suspect she is even though none of us can know for sure) causing all this trouble for Slash I wonder if there's any kind of legal action that he can take against her?

http://blogs.reuters.com/fanfare/2009/06/0...in-los-angeles/
I guess you may be right. It'd be odd that someone like her would act as a source at this point in time unless the reporters weren't aware.
I thought that was strange as well seeing as how she was fired by Slash and I haven't read anything about him hiring her back.
-
What makes you so positive that it's her? I agree that there's a good chance that it is but I don't see how we could be 100% sure. At least if any of us run across any of those things being said we'll know that they're bs. I'd be willing to bet that Arlette was the one who put those divorce rumors out about Slash and Perla a few years ago. If it is in fact her this time then she's pretty stupid as well as evil because I can't think that anyone else would hire her. I sure wouldn't if I was a celebrity. Oh and btw, I'm not a dude lol!
-
hold on now, how do you know you have the right person? this is a bad idea.
It's the right person. This chick was a publicist and helped Slash out in the late 80's. He hired her to be VR's publicist but she didn't get along well with Scott, so she ended up only being Slash's publicist, but after a while she was fired (she claimed it was because Perla didn't like her) and sued Slash in 2005.
It sounds like it could be her but you cannot know for sure. You can just suspect. Anyway, I'm not calling that number. This is for Slash to handle.
Another thing to remember is that Slash says he knows who it is but hasn't said her name. To me that means that he doesn't want us to know because it's his business.
-
Man, she sounds like a freak.. Slash has this and will end it. Hope he gets her good
and people thought this was Axl's doing
I never thought that it was Axl. I don't know what he would have to gain by doing something like that.
-
Who is she?
is she Adrianna?
It might be her because from what I remember of her post here she readily admitted that she strongly disliked Perla.

It looks like Blabbermouth finally has shown some class and taken down the article about the memorial service.
So Slash's mom's funeral isn't until June 20?
Didn't she die over a week ago? Kinda odd they would wait two weeks considering most funerals are probably 3-5 days after someone dies.
Sometimes people have more than one memorial service. Maybe they've had a small very private service already just for family and this next one is for family and her friends and colleagues (but of course not Slash's fans). Just speculating of course. I hope if the plans are the same for this service fans of Slash have enough consideration and common sense to stay away. I'm guessing that most will but there's always those overzealous and sometimes obsessed fans that might try to show up.
-
I just cannot believe that anyone could be that vendictive toward poor Slash at such a sad time for him. I bet his brother's good and pissed as well.
-
That's disgusting some cunt posted that. Think of all Slash's deranged fans who are going to be yelling to get pics with Slash...at the funeral. Hopefully he can re-arrange the service.
I think that he'll have to re-arrange the services if they hope to have any privacy in this sad time. What's sad is that he might have to have it at another church and for all we know that may have been the church his mother attended if she was a church goer. Anyway, I thought it sounded fishy all along that her service would be open to the public. It's also revealed on his his official website.
-
That tells you how dedicated he is to his music. 3 days after he loses his mother, he's back in the studio. Hope he channels the emotion into his solos.
I bet he's trying to stay busy with his music because he's so sad about his mom's passing. I feel so bad for him.

I'm in the final stretch on this record, of course the final quarter is the toughest.iiiii||; ), #fb
about 13 hours ago from txt
than why the heck is this coming out next year!?
Yeah it kind of makes you wonder what else is going on that the record can't come out until next year.

Steven Tyler would make a lot of people very happy.
I hope it happens.
But he is recording a new album with Aerosmith, so Slash's solo album might not be a high priority for him just atm.
We'll probably know soon enough. Slash's wife Perla has a pretty seriously big mouth when it comes to Slash's professional business.
-
Wow, just clicked on Slash's list of people he's following, and was quite surprised
to see none other than the great Sebastian Bach......he's probally waiting for him
to accept his offer to front VR, maybe Slash has finally decided to give him a chance.
Maybe his song on the solo album convinced him.
Bach is amazing, I never understood why Slash didn't pick him, he fits so perfect and his voice is amazing. Can't wait to hear him with Slash.
Didn't Slash say that the problem they ran across auditioning him was that everything sounded like Skid Row?
-
from perla's twitter...
"slash wont say it but i will! hes with ozzy osbourrne working on a track!"
She's kind of got a big mouth. I bet Slash didn't appreciate her leaking that info since he wouldn't say it himself. Oh well, I'm glad it's Ozzy!
-
Hey baby, I miss u guys, glad your having a great time, see u in a couple days. xo!
I think he thought he was texting Perla.
Yeah I'm pretty sure that was meant for Perla and his boys. How sweet!

We went to downtown Las Vegas today, what a great hang, I havent been there in years.
Slash gets around Saturday he was with his family at the "Kids Choice Awards" Saturday night he did a concert and Sunday he is in Vegas. Busy man.
Yeah and before the "Kids Choice Awards" he was also in Vegas with his family. I guess when you're rich and famous and in demand like Slash that's how you get to live. All that I can say is Slash's wife and boys are extremely lucky to live such a full and exciting life.

Savannah was pretty trampy.
Her story was pretty tragic though. I watched part of the E True Hollywood Story about her and from what I gathered she just got way too wrapped up in her addictions and couldn't find her way out. Not to mention all the celebs she dated that really didn't give two shits about her. Poor girl.
