  1. Anyone interested in keeping my topic alive? :rofl-lol:

    i'll try!

when axl said his brilliantly vague "you'll hear music this year" phrase in january, I knew something was on the cards, but I never would have imagined a full european & north american tour AND the new album!

i've been lucky enough to see them 3 times this summer, and just 6 months ago I never would have dreamed of that happening!

  2. yeah i agree that finck/fortus should re-record buckets parts. you don't wanna introduce a new band to the world and then say "oh but.. actually that solo was by an ex-member..."

How will they record his stuff? I mean, they are good, but Buckethead is another league...

yeah i know what your saying, i think fortus could pull most of them off though. just look at some of his solo's, they're as fast as anything we've heard in the demo's

  3. this is no suprise for me, ron joined the band way too late to be involved in the album.

even with the mixed opinions about buckethead i'm sure his parts on the album will be fantastic.

talking of the album, i think the opening track should be 'chinese democracy', with the minute-long intro before that killer riff kicks in!

  4. i think axl is enjoying the lack of info he's giving fans while he still can. the mystique he's built up around album will be gone the moment its released.

i can understand why people get aggrevated about the situation... i sure do, but i'm trying to enjoy the calm before the storm. this is the closest we've been to the true return of axl and gn'r for 13 years.

  5. its a kiss ass song and i think the intro/outro will sound awesome on final recording. listening to the demo loud on decent headphones reveals a wider sound with alot of cool effects and subtleties.

the intro/outro live sounds a bit dodgy though, i'd prefer a pre-recorded clip, followed by axl coming in on "the hardest part..."

  6. hey, this is my first post here, but like many i've been reading the forum daily for around 2 years now. i also went to see guns in dublin, sheffield and manchester this summer, front row for all of them!

    anyway thats my introduction, so...

i hope the videos on gunsnroses.com aren't oft-seen boots from the likes of rock am ring or rock in rio. i noticed at many of the shows that as well as the professional cameras they had crew guys with hand-held cameras filming from the side of the stage. hopefully this is what will appear on the website, as it'll give a cool perspective on the performances.

i agree that the best stuff we could expect is footage from the london acoustic july 30th!
