eodm say that axl had no right to insult them because he hadn't heard their music, but that is neither here nor there. look at it like this: axl hired not one, not two, but THREE opening bands to placate the crowd and keep them distracted because he knows he's going to be late and that his lateness is probably going to piss people off. he shows up and the stupidass band he hired to basically stall for him has had a tantrum and stormed off stage???? like they reallly thought axl rose would stand for that. he didn't hire them to piss off the crowd. if they couldn't hack it, that sucks for them, but he's not going to stand for other people pulling those hijinx at his show- if there are to be any hijinx at the gn'r show, they're going to be axl's. he doesn't need the people pissed off before he gets a chance to piss them off.

it seems to me that however great axl or the band is, the reviewers have such closed minds, all they ever have to say about it is- it's not as good as the old guns. i saw reviews of the first vegas show from september, and i tell you it was one of the best shows i've ever been to, axl's voice was great and i read a review that totally panned it. all i could think was, "was this asshole even at the show?" i just think, so what. everyone else who was there knows what a great show it was.

i think slow sales have more to do with people's perception of axl being unreliable than the dearth of new material. i told some people i was going to the show and everyone said, "hope he shows up" and thought they were really funny. then, they bombarded me with a litany of complaints about axl's tardiness, about axl cancelling shows, about axl storming off stage after 45 minutes. people don't want to buy tickets for something if they think it might be a problem. no one wants to be stuck in a riot.

does anyone else think vanessa looks like she has breast implants? i do.

and seriously, whoever she is- that's a hideous outfit. i know she just threw something on (probably after partying all night) to go out for coffee, but she should be ashamed to even OWN that sweater. axl needs to buy her a juicy sweatsuit or something so she'll have something decent to wear out for coffee runs.

as for the people saying that axl was seen out n' about with lots of different women on the tour, i think the difference with this one is you get the feeling that she's staying at his house- like, she's staying at his house in malibu and they ran out to the local coffee shop. that seems like something more significant than being seen out at a club where lots of poeple are hanging and meeting up. pure speculation on my part, but that's the feeling i get. and did i mention in my last post that axl's so purdy? k, just makin sure.

axl's what you would call a "modelizer"- a guy who exclusively dates models (it's from sex and the city) and models are all tall. axl probably hasn't dated a woman who wasn't a model since gn'r hit it big, so all of us who aren't on the pages of the victoria's secret catalogue (or its equivalent) are just plum out of luck.

i was watching the webcast and i was thinking- axl looks so young! and then i noticed the goatee was gone. i'm so happy. he's so pretty, i consider it a crime to cover any of his beautiful face. and he looks younger without it. but it took me like three songs to notice

axl is notoriously late, yet every time i've seen him, he comes on at or around 11pm. i mean, that's pretty consistent, right? he probably intends to come on at 11. it's too bad the show can't start at 9 but the promoters probably won't let him start the show at nine, so it starts at seven or whatever and then everyone makes a fuss about axl coming on four hours late, but he may be going on exactly when he intends. just a theory.

i actually started a thread once about axl's penchant for unbuttoned shirts but it was deleted. maybe coz i said something about axl trying to drive the ladies crazy by showing off his man boobs with all the unbuttoned shirts. hehe. i was just kidding. geez

merck said he gives the mike out every night. we already know that. the point is- does he intend to have it returned. merck didn't answer that question directly. i know the security doens't work for the band, that they work for the casino, but they would do something the band or its management instructed them to do.

yeah, i hear that bandita, i actually put a towel over my face and fell asleep on my chaise lounge- until a security guard woke me up by tapping me on the shoulder and asking me if i was alright.

i was at the hardrock pool on sunday. they have a big pool party there every sunday called rehab. it's really popular. they charge $20 admission and anyone can get in. it's basically a dance club in and around the pool. they have a live dj playing dance/club style music and it's broadcast on the radio on kiss, and like any dance club, the music is loud, with stacks of speakers set up all around the pool. it's totally crazy. anyone who's been there knows what i'm talking about.

so i was out lounging by the pool (at the mellow end), and the dj said, "guns and roses is playing here tonight. is anyone going to the show? axl rose is staying here and he called to complain about the music. he wants us to turn it down." he said it in a bemused tone as if to say, "isn't that ridiculous?" i asked one of the security guards out by the pool if that was true or was the dj just trying to be funny. he said, "i don't know anything about it."

it sounded likely to me. when i booked my room they asked me if i wanted a pool view or a mountain view and i said mountain view because i'm an extremely light sleeper and i thought it would be quieter (i saw the info about the crazy party on the website which i checked out before i booked my reservations.) later, i realized i needed two beds instead of one so i called back and they said that all the mountain view rooms with two queen beds were booked but that i could book a pool view room with two beds but that it would cost $100 more per night. i think all the suites were on the pool view side of the hotel, which is considered the nicer view, so i'm sure that axl's room was on the pool side. i also know that our man axl likes to stay up all night, sleep all day (who sang that song? hehe), so i can imagine him going to sleep sunday morning after playing the saturday show and partying all night and waking up to ehehe ohoh (imagine club music style beeping) and being pissed and calling management to make them turn it down. how did his people not see that coming? he should hire me as his personal assistant- i always think of things like that.

anyway, i still didn't know for sure it was true. i went to the show that night and axl came on a little late. i wondered to myself if he went on late because he was pissed off about the loud music that interrupted his sleep. just a theory. axl came on at around quarter past eleven or so and a few songs into the show, (i think after knockin' on heaven's door), axl yelled "are you those motherfuckers who were making all that noise at the pool today?" hehe and i thought, "it must be true!"

after the sunday night show, i was heading back to my room upstairs. three guys were in the elevator with me. i asked them if they went to the show and they said, "yeah, he caught axl's mike," pointing out one of the guys, but that a security guard tapped him on the shoulder and took the mike back as they were leaving the theater. i said, "did you ask him why?" and they replied that there was no reasoning with him. i was like....i wonder why? that just doesn't make sense to throw it out into the audience and then have someone go out and take it back. and they said, "i guess he doesn't want to buy a new mike." i said, "so axl looks like he's giving his mike to some lucky fan every night and no one knows the truth but the person who caught the mike. i bet people are busting each others heads to get that mike- worse than bridesmaids gunning for the bouquet thrown at a wedding, and then to have a security guard take it back, it's terrible." they were like, "yeah, he dove onto the ground to get that mike." sounds fucked up and like a total bummer. has anyone else heard of such things? do you think axl has them do it? or did the security guard just take it upon himself to do that?

i wonder if there will be any surprises at the upcoming shows- like izzy or anyone else. i wonder if there were to be a surprise guest would it happen on saturday, or sunday, which i think would be more likely since those kinds of things tend to happen on the last date of the shows.

did anyone who went to vegas last time to see gnr have a good/bad experience at a hotel? i wonder where axl will stay? i can picture him in the erotic suite at the palms hehe seriously, go to the website and check it out, it looks so hot....well, i'm sure he'd have lots of company.

i heard a rumor that axl, slash, duff, and doug goldstein's bfd productions each owned 25% and when each member of gnr quit, axl bought them out and that a few years ago doug sold his 25% to sanctuary...not sure of the exact percentage, either...not sure of any of it is true, but that's something i heard. sounds logical.
