I read somewhere that Guns N Roses used to listen to Back in Black before they got on stage. I think its the best party rock record ever made. If you put on the titlesong Back in black to a party,everybodys on the dancefloor. Everyone deserves to own High Voltage, Highway to hell, Let there be rock and Back in black. AC/DC makes me happy

Sorry for posting nice things about Axl and co. I know nothing about CD, but the reason why is because no one knows anything. Do you really think it is locked up in nevada and is beeing a secret just to anoy the fans? The facts is that there has been some problems with the record company and so on (like bbf said)
At my birthdate the 18th of december, chinese democracy will blow me, you, my friends and my "im the coolest man in town" dad away... At least I hope so...

On a deeper level Axl has in fact also tried to change the whole attitude of GNR. To put it simply Axl discovered irony. Like Bono did with U2.

And please don't compare gnr and u2. yes i know that axl is so fucked up, that he actually likes u2 but Axl has a fucked up taste in music. I cant believe that a guy with such a bad taste in music, can make so good music. Its Axls fault I have spend too much time listening to ELO and Rod Stewart. Ok, its not THAT bad and I like some of the records but it will never be at top 10. Axl, why have you never mentioned Roky Erickson and MC 5?

A few days ago I was at a meeting with a woman who works behind the scenes. Of cause I had to ask her about her experience with Guns N Roses, any scandals? She told me that Axl’s people was very sweet and so easy to work with. She had nothing but good things to say about the band and the people working around them.
With that in mind, I don’t think we have to blame Gn’R the cancelled concert and I feel a little bit sorry for Beta, Axl and everyone else who has tried to tell us what was going on.
The woman I talked with had nothing but good things to say about GnR and Co. She was making a joke about crazy artists always have a nice and down to earth management, but she said it had only been a good experience with Guns N’ Roses with no problems at all and Axl left saying that the treatment was the best he has had so far at the European tour.

If you dont get new material from GnR you will quit listening to AFD, the greatest album ever made? There is absolutely no logic in your post. This is not a boyband, were you can replace new kids on the block with take that and then replace take that with panic at the disco.

The most ridiculous comparison I have heard.
Can you give some examples of how GNR compare to The Beatles? The beatles normally had just one DAY to produce some songs, yet GNR takes years to produce an Album. To even hint that Axl has anywhere near the same degree of musical prowess as John Lennon, is an insult and an insight into your own knowledge of music.
What??? I could discuss that statement to death!! That hairpeace guy is the most overrated person in history! Axl talent in singing and songwriting goes way beyond Lennon.

Im getting old (29) but I still think its cool to be a rebellion. The world as it seems right now is boring. CBGBs closing and a lot of the same things are happening in my country right now. All the places that doesn't fit in this rightwing society are closing down and NOBODY can see how wrong it is. Everybody just wanna fit in the same boring lifestyle and cant see how important these places are for the youth and the culture. Im still waitng for a revolution... But sometimes when I read these GnR boards I can see that the youth doesnt really care. You are a fan of this band, who are supposed to be authentic and the real thing but still NOBODY have any doubts about GnR going commercial and you being spammed by their fanclub about anything else but the band. All you wanna see is fucking promotion!?!? for chinese democracy. Fuck commercials and fuck promotion. What is important is the music. As far as I now GnR has never ever sold their music to promote other peoples products. I hope I will never see a lot of harley commercials with Better playing in it and I dont need a GnR lunchbox.
PS: dont worry about promotion, any recordlabel in their right mind use a lot of money to promote their big bands. They are the bands who are supposed to make the labels survive. 90% of signed bands are waste of money, so the bands that are already in the "starsystem" are the one they are spending their money at when it comes to promotion.

Why is it so hard to believe that the show was not cancelled because of tickets sales? The fire marshals and the building made it impossible for GNR to play. Everytime we agreed with something they found something else and that went on for almost 3 hours. Our crew were been threantened every 10 minutes that if they would light one cigarrete they would get a 1000 fine. If any of the fans coming to the show and would be cought smoking they would get a 1k fine. If anyone would look intoxicated they would be arrested. If anyband member would look intoxicated they would be arrested; if they felt that the pyro would cause any danger, they would stop the show and the list goes on. This incident has nothing to do with nybody in axls camp. promotores, our team and management came to the conclusion that cancelling was the right thing to do. Axl and band were not part of their decision at all. so please stop jumping to conclusions. is it better for the tour to continue or hv them arrested and maybe a cancelled tour? is was one show and lets blame the right people. stop jumping axls throat over this. he was going to do the show and got a call from management saying that the show was cancelled.

But if it is true, its not the first time some one is trying to spoil things for GNR.
It's definately not the first time GnR has "spinned" something.
I know Axl is the master of blaming other people and its "never his fault", but anyway we can't blame him for getting boring as he gets older. Always new scandals.

Hey, let that man rest in peace!
He was actually a very talented man and described as a guy with a lot of charisma. I have only heard positive and interesting stories about him. It sounds like he really fitted in to the wild life of the original band. In his hometown people still talk about him, he was the kind of guy who had it all to become a rock star, all the girls loved him and the guys wanted to be him, but unfortunately drugs spoiled it all when he ran away from rehab and drowned. Suicide or an accident caused of too many drugs? We will never know, but he sure was rock n roll all the way (not the Del-way)

I think Del James is a completely fool and has to learn to think twice before he puts out all his crap in cyberspace. If GNR can’t take the writings on these boards, then stay away. I understand that it’s fair that they don’t want people to show private photos and video recordings at their myspaces, but all these different and also crazy and funny discussions are maybe good for something.
Since Nietzsche said: "God is dead" and science killed the myths, we all have needed a substitute and here we can use art. Guns n Roses fill in those needs for a lot of people, their songs and their lifestyle inspire us as religion can do. Fans get inspired to play music and so on. That’s the meaning of the myths. They shall inspire us to copy them in a certain way to make us grow as a human being.
With that in mind I think GNR should be very careful about hanging out fans at these boards. It’s ok to reflect about everything that has anything to do with GNR and it doesn’t mean people don’t have a life. Maybe it seems retarded to reflect over funny things like the bands looks or Axl’s rants, but it’s also a part of evolving as maybe a young teenager and building up an identity; by getting inspired of an idol. So maybe its time for the grown up band to leave their vanity behind instead of starting a war against their fans.

Axl woldn't choose such a boring cover!! Look at Appetite, Lies and Illusions.. That is coverart that tells a story and says something about the band. This says nothing. Its very "nice", but for this long awaited nearly mythical album, I think he will choose something more interesting.

Are you sure youre talking about High Voltage? Theres no cover of Baby please dont go and the album is filled up with great songs like TNT, Long way to the top, Live Wire and rock n roll singer. No one in their right mind can say "nah" to High Voltage, one of the greatest rock albums ever.
