    There is MUCH more to The Beach Boys that that "Surfin' USA" bullshit.

    Word. If you wanna hear some tripped out, drug-inspired insanity, listen to this stuff. It's AMAZING. If the Beach Boys actually stayed the course as the Beatles did when they took a similar direction, the music world would have been turned upside down. Everything would have been so different.

    OK Computer at #1? Whatever. I don't really object to the top 12 or so other than that, but honestly, if you want to do a top 100, you go by number of records sold, period. That's the only way to prove it. Otherwise, it's just opinions, and everyone's got an asshole, or something.

    But changing the mood a little bit, Zakk was the best rockstar i have ever met, a complete and total gentleman, and totally respectful of the fans. And he went out of his way to talk to us.

    Best rockstar yes (ok, maybe ties Axl). Supreme badass, yes. Respectful to the fans...pretty much. But gentleman? HAH!!! ROFL

    Dude, when I met him, he punched me in the chest. No shit. Hurt too! He was getting very animated talking about when Sharon fired him back in 2000 or so, and he was talking about how he really wanted to talk to Ozzy in person and what a pussy he is. He can get pretty animated when he talks and he was still pretty bitter about the whole being fired thing. Funny son of a bitch, though, I've gotta say. Dude's a riot! I got to help the band and his guitar tech (young dude...I was very surprised..Zakk found him somewhere and was impressed with him or something...offered him a job) take down and pack up their set and hung out withthem for like 3 hours.

    But at least it's a great party story. "Hey, I ever tell you about the time Zakk Wylde punched me?" HA HA!

    I love the song. I think others didn't because it was such a shock to hear something so different form them without being prepared for how different GnR's new music was going to be. If it came out now, everyone would love it. But, it came out 7 years ago and the world wasn't ready. I think the song is amazing, and yeah, definitely top 5 best lyrics ever.

    People just weren't ready for GnR to be so different.

    The title comes from the book by JD Salinger; the song's about the shooting of John Lennon (the guy who shot him was obsessed by the book). May plays guitar on the demo that was leaked to the internet.

    That makes sense, considering how much the song sounds like a Lennon or Beatles track.

    The only thing more obnoxious and sucks more than Fred Durst is Kid Rock.

    His music is the epitome of the garbage the music industry feeds people. Talent or no, his music is absolutely TERRIBLE. Plus, Kid Rock is just such a fucking dick. He reminds me of a rapist with down syndrome.

    He's a poser loser, no matter how much money and "success" he's had.

    WTF? Ok, I get Englund, but Patrick? Robert Patrick is the man! I usually think X Files, not T2 when I think of Robert Patrick. As much as people dislike those last couple seasons, his character was played incredibly well. He's far from ugly, so I don't get it...

    i love the fact that in all the pictures of axl with james ganfolini (tony soprano, on the show) and the one we've already seen, it appears as though he's very warm toward Axl. His hand on his shoulder, smiling graciously at him- it looks like he genuinly likes Axl. It a very weird way, it almost appears like he's the father figure that Axl never had.

    Some of you need to get a grip. I hope you are joking.

    nooo, actually i wasn't. i don't think there's necessarilly anything wrong with what i said, either.

    That's actually pretty creepy. The whole father figure thing gets my vote for dumbest post so far this month, anyway. You really should get a grip.
