  1. This fascination and fixation of celebrities' actions is all a ploy to use as entertainment in an abusive way by the media. Nepotism and Narcissism mesh together to create a fusion of selfish and deceitful behavior, all of which is easily conveyable to the naive minds of those; especially youth in our society. It's a symphony of corruption, and people keep wanting an encore. Why? Because we as individuals thrive on judging others' deceptive actions in order to pity them, only to avoid the reality of our own issues. We have too much pride to utter the words "Woe is me." It's a toxic cycle.

  2. "Ohhhh let the sun beat down upon my face, with stars to fill my dreams. I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been." Led Zeppelin's Kashmir is infused with Egyptian influence. Gotta love the arrangement of the orchestra used in combination with the Egyptian musicians; these two incorporated just mesh so well together. It is also one of the few songs they used "outside" musicians for. Just splendid.

  3. I am trying to learn the art of henna, and I just can't seem to get it right.. >.< Does anyone have some quick tips to give me? They would be much appreciated. :)

  4. What do I see in them, you ask? I see true music....artists with a vision.Music that can transcend any of the crap that leaks it's way out of our speakers today. Pink Floyd is my Xanadu.

There's still plenty of great music being created today. that's just a very silly statement.

Eh, from what I have heard recently, it's all targeted towards a particular audience....whether you would like to agree or not. Im talking mainstream artists. It all appeals to the teenage jonas brother-crazed girls or the 'skater' boys. It's catchy...the tunes are very danceable. Pink Floyd's lyrics are actually meaningful. I haven't heard many artists of the like. A few I can count on one hand would be Michael Buble, Mika, err im running out of names.

Thank god for Pearl Jam's new song, and the few artists that I do think are worthwhile otherwise I would be damned to musical hell.

  6. Don't see the amazingness of it or haven't seen it?

Dude, seriously, use more fucking grammar.

sorry, dont see the amazingness. its just...i dunno, certainly not "one of the most powerful pieces of cinema i've ever seen" far from it. theres almost no artists left in the mainstream medium.

Atonement is one of the better pieces of cinema out there, and is "classic" to me. It's very moving and dramatic. Very real-- nothing is too fantasized. That is what makes it a wonderful movie. That, and Keira Knightley's extraordinary talent.

  7. I saw 21 not too long ago and I enjoyed it a lot.

I just picked that one up not long ago. Very good movie. Kevin Spacey is one of my favorite actors.

I just saw it this morning....I finally caught it at the beginning so I decided to watch it. Kevin Spacey is always fantastic, and Jim Sturgess impressed me yet again. I think his performance was flawless in Across the Universe as well as this movie.

  8. I definitely love 21. Just saw it today, been meaning to watch it for awhile. Jim Sturgess is ridiculously handsome and a good actor if you ask me.

Makes me want to start counting cards..... B) :book:

  9. oh and for the record, if the bomb has already gone off in the city im sure we would all be dead. so you might want to correct yourself by saying something like " the news reports a nuclear bomb threat for your city- what is the last song you listen to. because really, in reality you cannot listen to music in this present materialistic world when you have already died....thoughts about the "afterlife" are really of no consideration in this matter.

I think I said bomb alarms.

yeah but you said it differently in the topics title. *sigh* just forget it. you corrected yourself in your 1st post, so fine.

  11. Mem'ries,

Light the corners of my mind

    Misty water-colored memories

    Of the way we were

    Scattered pictures,

Of the smiles we left behind

Smiles we gave to one another

    For the way we were

Can it be that it was all so simple then?

Or has time re-written every line?

If we had the chance to do it all again

Tell me, would we? Could we?

Mem'ries, may be beautiful and yet

    What's too painful to remember

    We simply choose to forget

    So it's the laughter

    We will remember

    Whenever we remember...

    The way we were...

    the way we were...

    OR

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day

You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.

Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town

Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.

You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.

No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking

Racing around to come up behind you again.

The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,

Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time.

Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way

The time is gone, the song is over,

Thought I'd something more to say.

yeah, erm--both seem pretty fitting to me.
