Personally, I would never buy it. Sell it?? In a heartbeat. If I got my hands on a promo single of Chinese Democracy; especially with the demand, I would immediately sell it.

David Archuleta was the runner up on American Idol. Archuleta is fucking ugly.

David Cook was the winner. However I can't wait until Cooks second record comes out because it will not be a pop record. David Cook is a pure rocker / bartender. The funny thing is that he didn't go to try out for it, his brother was trying out and they decided to make him addition once they seen him. I feel like this pop stuff was forced on him.

in that rumor was also said that Buckethead will return in 2008 when the record is supposed to be released.

I could live with the album being delayed till 2008 if Bucket and Brain are coming back. The 2002 lineup with Axl's 2006 voice would blow any fucking band off stage. Perhaps Axl's been spending his free time trying to get B&B back in the gnr family. If that's the case, I'd be stoked.

I don't see this happening. Bucket's and Brain's parts would have to be in the recordings if they were to join back.

Don't rule out 2007 yet! It's still possible! The thing that I get, that nobody else gets, is that it will be sneak released directly after christmas! It just makes so much sense!

I hope you're being sarcastic because there is no chance in hell that any album, in this day in age, will come out without anyone knowing about it. B/c of the internet, we will have Chinese Democracy months before the release. Some DJ or insider will leak this thing onto the internet, and people will download it. There will be reviews of the album before its release, which could help or hurt the album. 2007 is not the year.

I remember seeing someone on this board who had Axl sign a sealed vinyl copy of "Live Like A Suicide." I wonder how much someone is willing to sell that for? I'm not interested, just wondering.

I see 3 possible answers:

1. It will be released as an internet album only. The fans will do it b/c Axl won't.

2. It will come out when Axl is gone, someone buys the rights of GnR, and they release it.

3. When and if Axl decides to release it.

The site hasn't been updated because, while most major bands use the internet as a valuable promotional tool, GNR or their "management" apparently don't care to join the 21st century by doing that. The site is better than gnronline.com but thats not saying much. Videos? Downloads?Blogs? Who the hell needs those, we have Axls letter!

We have Axl's letter, but when will be get another update on the album??? That is the question that we are all asking. Who cares if we have a letter with a tentative release date; us die hard fans want an officail release date. And we all know how reliable Axl is when it comes to keeping promises.

Vinyl aka record, came out before cd's and cassettes.

In the UK you will be able to purchase a limited edition LP of the album, here in Canada and states you can get it at a store that carries "imports"

Yeah, I know it's going to cost me probably around $30 if it's an import. Japanese presses are the most expensive, but they are the best. If it's made in the states then it will probably cost around $20. I work in a independent record store, and we carry alot of the new vinyl that comes out. We just recently got a 200 gram Tommy album by The Who, which we have in the store for $45. I remember when we got Velvet Revolver's LP, but it only cost me $17.

GNR has always put out an LP version of thier albums, so wouldn't you think they would release Chinese Democracy on LP??? I would buy it!!! What's everyone else's thoughts on this?

I used to be a huge GnR fan - wow...i really, really loved them. Went to many of their concerts, had always all the updates, etc... But after 1993 everything changed, and it will be like that - no matter what.

when it started back in 2002 - i was laughing, 'cause they really looked like a bunch of clowns, and when i went to the concert i was really embarrassed for them - honestly. By the way - Axl admitted that by himself to Kurt Louder on MTv, that 2002 - was a big catastrophy.

then for 4 years we could see few notes about Axl and his musicians, that pretty much nothing was going on. Then blaming Buckethead's leaving the band for the album delay... PLEASE !!!!!!!

And now when the year is almost over, when Axl started the whole process of bringing back the band to life again with concerts and empty promises, we ( i mean fans) are still with NOTHING !!!!

Here are some of mine personal thought - would like to share them with all of you, and see possible comments.

First of all - the mix of people in the band - WTF ???? Three guitar players???? Two piano players??? Why Axl didn't hire the whole orchestra?????

Glorifing Finck as the best guitar player ever.... PLEASE !!!!! Finck dosen't really know what the guitar is for, and fucked up all the guitar parts - during the summer concerts. I dont know about the new stuff, so... cant really say anything.

Second of all - all this chinese democrasy tour was a big mistake too - no mentioning the new album whatsoever - for me it was more like "greatest hits" tour, with some hints of what may happen soon, and their headline song should be - "Yesterday" - honestly, cause the words fit so good to the whole story.

Plus being at few concerts got that feeling it's too much Roses, and just few Guns left..... which is sad

And last but not least - my theory of the new album...

I think Axl want to gets closer with the releasing date to Velvet Rovolver's new album, so they can compete what is better....

Actually i can bet my ass this is gonna be so true...

I may be a noob in this forum because I haven't contributed to the forum in replies or posts, but I've been visiting this forum for about a year now. Reading all the updates and getting my dose of GNR news from my fellow Guns N' Roses fans. That's what this forum is all about. I'm not trying to make any enemies in this forum but making redundant posts about the 2002 is getting old. Lets be happy with what we have right now in GNR; maybe down the road there will be a reunion (highly doubt it though). I'm hoping that the new GNR album will come out March 6th. Fingers crossed. Again, just trying to fit in the group and just stating my opinion.

4) Who the fuck wants a clown to play in GN'R no matter how good he is..!

That guy you call a clown has probably made some top-notch guitar work on the upcoming album, he is a solo guitarist who has released over 20 albums, and can bring something new to the table, and his style is just fine, he's different and there is nothing wrong with that. At least the guy has charisma and can be clearly seen as a lead guitarist in any band he will play in. Unlike Bumblefoot who doesn't even stand out nor does he have a style...he just changes all the time because he can't find a suitable style.

Buckethead has not released over 20 albums; he has released 15 SUPERB albums. Buckethead's solo career was/is much more interesting and experimental than his career with Guns. In his solo career, Buckethead continues to impress and widen his experimental avante garde that us fans know and love. But Buckethead did bring his charisma to Guns like no other, and I also would like to see him join once again.

It is absolutely zero chanse of that happening.

x2!!!!! Stores would have to have the hint and by that time everyone would know the album is coming out. I work at a indie store in South Carolina and there is no sign of this album coming out yet. If it does come out this year I will know 2 weeks in advance before its release. AGAIN THERE IS NO CHANCE THAT THIS ALBUM WILL COME OUT WITHOUT PEOPLE KNOWING ITS RELEASE DATE!!!

I work in an independent record store in South Carolina, and if Chinese Democracy was to come out tomorrow I would have known about the release the Friday before it's release. For instance, I would have seen the pre-order sign on the album for my store to pre-order. As of right now there is no sign of the album to pre-order. Also, we get cd's in the day before the official release. No sign of the G&R album yet. But I have my fingers crossed that we will see this album this year

He hasn;t played Atlanta since BEFORE UYI, has this thing about being setup by the cops there..

When GNR was suppose to come to Greenville, SC in 02 but the tour got pulled the day of this show. I found out that they only sold around 7,000 tix for the Bi-Lo center, which can hold around 20,000 to 25,000. Pretty bad ticket sales if I may say.

I was thinking of going up to North Carolina for it, but I have classes the next day. I don't want another cancellation like the last time I bought GNR tickets either. But the good news is that their hasn't been any cancellations for the U.S tour thus far; maybe Axl learned his lesson from the 02 fiasco. I've heard a lot of people say that after 02 no one would ever give Axl another chance and promoters stay away because he's so unpredictable and hard to work with.

I can't believe that GNR set a date for Greensboro and hasn't announced a date for Atlanta. What's everyone's thoughts on this?

There shouldn't be an opening band in my opinion. If there was to be a opening band it should be a REALLY GOOD BAND NOT PAPA ROACH. I like to see GNR play a 3 hour set without a supporting act.

I know another forum member went into his local HMV to ask if there is a release date. They told him the 13th of Novenber. I did the same thing on Monday and they told me the same thing. I then and went and asked in a local record store which only has 2 branches, and they didnt have a date yet.

There is not a release date yet. I work at an independent music store and up into mid to end November there is no sign of the GNR album in sight. Axl needs to get his ass in gear to get it out this year.
