  1. I know he took medicine briefly (Lithium) in the early 1990's. But, does anyone have a source that says Axl actually still takes something. I am actually being serious, as I myself take Lithium. I am writing this because everyone's posts I have read about the Jersey concerts indicate a very positive mood for him. It is normal if he is not on medicine to switch moods completely, thus he had a bad day and they just covered the explanation for his not showing up on "pyro" problems.

I WONDER IF WE CAN ACTUALLY FIND OUT FROM LOCALS IF A FIRE MARSHALL REPORT WAS FILED, OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT! If it were possible that would be neat.

  2. could anyone please, without being rude as I know it has been posted before, help me learn how the leaks were actually put "out". If they were employees of Axl and/or Merck weren't they fired? Did Merck actually let any songs be leaked? To me, it really seems like it was and always has been Axl, even though he won't admit it. I think he just doesn't like that people on the Internet have gotten it. It seems like he just underestimated the Internet and just got more paranoid. HOW COULD THESE SONGS JUST ACCIDENTALLY HAVE BEEN STOLEN? I know we will never know the truth, but have always just been baffled by this.

  3. I don't know about anyone else, but besides the typical fiasco with the set list, playing Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" has got to go. We should be more concerned about this solo being played then the other set list problems. That is just how I see it at least. Since I am going to MSG show, I hope that it is omitted from the show. Does anyone know if it has been played the past two weeks????

  4. I was wondering if Buckethead and Brain still stay in touch. I never understood personally two years ago when Buckethead was first said to be out of the band, how Brain could still stay if they had been close friends. I do not know how many for sure, but I know that on the CDs of Buckethead I bought (I am ashamed now!) Brain was on them. You would think that whatever disagreements Buckethead had with Axl would apply to Brain, especially any negative Buckethead talk coming from Axl. My take is that Brain just wanted to be in a huge real band by staying with Axl. Perhaps?????

Oh, is Brain supposed to be the only drummer on Chinese Democracy, I mean as far as we know at this point?

  5. Am I correct in thinking that Izzy was at all the NY Hammerstein Ballroom shows? I think he was but am not sure. I know it might be too large a venue and grand an event, playing the special show at MSG, but if Izzy wants to market his new solo CD it only seems logical that he would be at that show. It of course also is a city I heard he has an apartment in, for whatever that is worth. So, Izzy should be in town more than likely anyways.

  6. I have no problem with the jerseys. Let say for instance he had a favorite athlete, he should just wear that for the entire show with baggy pants. In 2002, in NY when he kept putting on local athletes jerseys that was just dumb. We never will get an answer from him why he did it but it made no sense except for local fans.

  7. Since Axl has lost probably about 20 lbs. since 2001 in Rio, do you think he will go back to wearing a different outfit/shirt for every few songs, and at some point ever take his shirt off.

I know it will never be like back in the old days, when he constantly changed between songs. I found that to be annoying, and very out of character for the "real" GnR and what they stood for. It was his ego, not just a bit of 80's glam fashion in those days.

Anyways, let me know what you think. Personally, I think he looks cool in a leather jacket like he has worn recently and if he keeps his clothes on.

  8. I do not think the concert will be bad. I am only flying from TX on business just to seat, just so you know, but I have some concerns. What if the same idiots, or someone else, who gave such an unwarranted bad review of the MSG 2002 show do the same this time around? Was it the Post in addition to somebody from Howard Stern?

I am just worried how Axl will react if this major concert gets bad reviews. This is big for him even if he is not saying so in advance. Keep in mind this is really the only "big" concert on the east coast. This is why I think rather than a press release we will get word during the concert of when the first single/ or album will be released. Also, a new song or two might be played more than likely in NY over a smaller city. That is what I am hoping.

  9. Does anyone have an idea? Okay, look I know nobody knows for sure, but those who are going to MSG, like myself, what time do you think it will start?

Does anyone hear know when the 2002 MSG show started east coast time.

  10. I am not new here, I just have not had computer access for months, so sorry for posting three times in 5 minutes. I DO NOT INTEND ON BRINGING UP BAD MEMORIES OR JINX THE UPCOMING TOUR WITH THE CONTENTS OF THIS POST BELOW!!!

My question here is if anyone has any good web links, You TUbe, or other information regarding what exactly happened at the riots and the aftermath (wounded, how seriously, worse than Metallica concert 10 years earlier???) We don't mention it here often, but it really from what I heard was not far from being as bad as Donnington '88 back in the day. People really got hurt permanently for life. Some girls or girl was missing from Europe also I believe.

I remember all these great sites off this forum back 4 years ago that had photos of people of interest to the Vancouver police.

Also, I find puzzled as to what exactly went on in Vancouver. Was the band really all there except Axl who was on a helicopter? The whole thing just fascinates me for some reason since it happened.

  11. I personally am going to the MSG concert in NY, and know this is the biggest concert on the east coast and maybe of all!! Not bragging here, just I would assume it is going to be like 2002. What time do you guys think the shows on the east coast will start.

My guess is 11:30 pm eastern time. What do you people think?

Also, I have never been to a concert with several opening acts like will be the case here, so could I show up at like 9:45 or so in NY? Will the ushers let you get to your seats while the other bands are playing or do you have to wait in between bands to get in to your seats.

I know that is a really lame and stupid question but I would appreciate anyone who would please give me their opinion, especially those who have seen multiple opening bands for a headliner before!

    thanks,

    Isaac

  12. I am on business in NY for the weekend and luckily get to see GnR, who have completely avoided on this leg of the tour my home state of TX and the whole southwest.

I can't wait to go, and am new to NY CITY, so is any one else from here going to the show?

Any good bars by MSG? I have not been there in a while.
