I got to go visit the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy and in that town there is also a Ferrari Museum callled "Galleria Ferrari" where they have all the historic cars on display. One of the cool things they have on a lot of walls was "Celebrity Tributes" which had a picture of a celebrity, a list of what they were famous for, and the Ferrari they owned. Well, the first one you see (and one of the bigger photos) was of Axle Rose. Here are the photos:

I like how people who say his voice sounds like 2002 are basing it on recordings where 3500 other people were singing along. If you were there, you would how heard how good it was. Those recordings are just a glimpse of what his voice was like. In person it was flawless.

His voice is the same as it was four years ago. This "rasp is back" stuff is nonsense. Maybe the first night he had some more rasp, but he blew it out now. He's back to the helium whine.

Thanks for posting though, I'm not saying they're bad, I'm just saying I don't agree with everyone that his voice is perfect.

You have to Axl credit though. He sounds considerably better than 02.

I have credited Axl, but I think people are over-reacting to his voice right now. Wait until it gets more exposure and soundboards are released of other shows. People are going to start saying, "You know, he really doesn't sound that great."

I agree he's better than in '02 for the most part, but he still sounds very similar on a lot of the Appetite songs. And I prefer The Blues from '02 with the cleaner vocals and guitar/drum surge at the beginning of the song.

Where you there? Cause people that were there can attest to how good his voice was.

I was in the front front and would have preferred Mezzanine. In the front you have no room to even lift up your foot and it is really hot, some girl passed out next to me. Also, you can't hear Axl's voice as well from up front as you can from the back. Though I must say Axl a few feet away was awesome.

After reading it, that doesn't make sense. I meant I was one of those who always felt the band with the original members was better than the new members.

After last nights show, I'd have to say Fortus. He was the most animated of all the new band guys (obviously Axl was doing more of a show), but Fortus really made it fun.

After seeing the show last night, I've come to accept that GNR can be more than the key original members (yes, I was one of those). The enthusiasm that they showed together proved to me that they can make a comeback (and I mean number 1 on the charts comeback). But after thinking about Chinese Democracy and how long it has "been around", it is all ready old material. I think the band has not gelled until recently (as compared with the past "new GNR" performance with this weeks). So I am wondering if they need to get Chinese Democracy out of the way so that they can work on the next album as an "experienced band".

Oh yea, that show was AWESOME.

That concert was amazing, his voice was flawless and it looked like the band was having a lot of fun. They were animated the whole time and Axl was really interactive with the crowd. This was the concert we all dreamed about.

It also made me realize that even with the "new" band members, that they rock just as hard as the old days.
