Well for one, Perla his wife would tell him to do it. His kids would tell hime to do it. His peers (Tyler/Perry), (Mick/Keef), would tell him to do it. It's a small minority that honestly believes he is better off now, than when he was in Guns n' Roses. I've never understood this thinking.

Listening to his new album, it would make no sense going back to write and record shit like Better.

They seem quite content to take a pay check and play old cover songs for their leader.

Looks like they are celebrating the fact that they get paid sh!tloads of money to be a tribute band for Axl and don't have to write or record anything creative. Its a great gig.

Does anyone have sort of a tentative programme for the awards? I assume Axl and GN'R won't do anything at 7 pm but have some role later on? The reason I ask is that I really don't want to get up at 4 am to catch it live if nothing GNRistic happns until, say, 7 am.

If they are scheduled to be on at 7AM then tune in around 9AM or so....

A band doesn't become a joke just because it isn't productive. A band doesn't become a joke just because you don't like the singer's voice. A band doesn't become a joke just because of a powerful management. A band doesn't become a joke just because it plays its greatest hits. And neither does the combination of all of these turn a band into a joke.

And if you disagree with this yet still spend hours here then you're the joke .

I notice some people REALLY fucking hate Axl and every single thing about him on here, like I understand people who are pissed off how he's wasting the talent of the various members the last fifteen years but I think Democracy is a great record and the band whilst repetitive and seeming to do everything except progress, they put on good shows, Axl is nowhere near his 2006/2010 fiery self and Ashba is fucking farcical sometimes but I don't think they're a joke of a band. The potential being washed down the drain is a joke.

There are a lot of GNR fans who are still on here hanging on to the hope that this travesty of a tribute band may someday get their sh!t together enough to actually be a real band again. At some point I assume they will just throw the towel in. Or maybe they are like me who come to the forum every couple of weeks to see if anything earth shaking is planned only to see its the same old "which coat makes Axl look the least fat" or "I think I heard the rasp for 10 seconds in civil war" threads.

What I do think of as a joke is any person who spend time posting on the fan forum of a band he/she considers a joke.

Well, I believe 99% of the musicians ou there do it for the money. I just think very few of them go on tour so unprepared and not giving a shit. Axl doesn't give a fuck, specially in South America where they would pay 500 dollars for his stool sample. So he makes zero effort to sound decent and people love it anyway. That's why they play Brazil and Vegas.

Agreed. Not sure about 99% doing it for the money, but at some point when does the artistry kick in. Its literally playing Rockband over and over and over.....
