    Axl's rants -- where have they gone?

    Why do you suppose Axl hasn't been doing many rants during his shows?  In the past, it was tradition. And I liked when he shared his thoughts and feelings about songs or whatever was on his mind.  

    Your thoughts? Do you miss them? Or are you glad he's ranting less?

    I missed his rants until a couple of days ago.....

    I understand your skepticism - smart move, you are, after all, a GNR fan. I'm sure several of us will call BBs tomorrow and get independent confirmation or denial of the 'Vinyl SKUs'.

    I'm a hell of a lot more interested in just what the differences are between 'version 1' 'version 2' and 'version 3' - thats what I'm hyped about :)

    - He left 2 years+ ago, it would be stupid to see him on the record.

    - His so called "contribution" (pointless shredd) already sounds outdated

    - He hurts the quality of the leaked demos. His guitar playing has no soul and no feeling.

    Sorry... Bucket is a freak and it was very difficult for a lot of GNR fans to accept him. But I think he is a great guitar player. Maybe equal or better than slash.

    I admire Robin Finck..., but when you listen to TWAT & IRS it's pretty clear that without Bucket parts both songs lack of a great guitar playing.

    All Robin solos are easy to play..., Bucket solos are imposible.

    What made Slash a great guitar player was in a way the complexity of his solos.

    If you see how Bumble played on some concerts during this year, you can realize that when he shredded he didn't have a good timing & melody. BUT when bucket shredded, he was able to make the shred fit the rythm and be melodical at the same time.

    Make this exercise..., listen to Bumble solo on Nightrain this year on Germany, and then compare it to the solo Bucket did on Nightrain on 2002. It's pretty clear that Bucket takes care of melody and timing when he shred's. Bumble doesn't all the time.

    If someone asks me, I would really like Chinese Democracy to have Bucket parts, and I would really wish him to come back.

    The rest is far from their Vocal Abilities... So Just only 3 geniuses...Anyway I have to admit that after listening to Axl in RIR3 his voice is worse... but who cares..., he once had it...

    Just wondering....

    How many more months and years, and how much more $money$ is Geffen/Interscope going to give Axl?  I know that pressings of Appetite and the UYI albums still sell well (for older albums); but how much patience do you think they have left?

    since you started this thread 2 years and a couple of days :lol:
