  1. I’m not into hip hop right now, but I used to be, and it should be respected, the underground hip hop scene has some of the deepest lyrics you can find. Lyrics that are far more meaningful and intelligent than Axl’s or many of the rock icons of today. I think marina has pretty much killed all of you anti-hip hop people’s arguments, and all you can do is reply with childish comments. Listen to Canibus’ “Poet Laureate” you wont find lyrics a good as that on any of today’s rock music. Music is all about opinions and you should respect others. I don’t listen to hip hop any more but I definitely can see why people like some of it.

Haven’t any of you heard the rap Axl does in rocket queen?

I listen to 80s hair metal and other heavy metal, and they usually have poor lyrics, but I enjoy the musicianship and the overall sound.

  2. This thread is full of immature obsessive fans.

I love motley and guns, and your hatred toward vince neil shows how easily your opinions are swayed by an incident 10 years ago.

Vince is an awesome front man and motley crue's Shout At The Devil is a metal classic. Axl backed down I think 3 times to Vince Neil's offers to fight. Axl is the coward not Vince. Vince is a pretty genuine bloke and wouldn't hold a grudge this long. I went to see Motley Crue last year and I'd say it was one of the best performances I've ever seen. If Vince is such an asshole, how come he put aside his differences with band members and decided to do a world tour and record a new album for his fans. Atleast he didn't fire all his band mates over a period of 10 years, and they rarely do a bad show, where as in 2002 lets just say some the new GNR performances left a lot to be desired, and Axl's voice isn't any where near as good as it used to be. Vince Neil vocally is as good as he ever was, if not better, check out Carnival Of Sins.

They are both legends, the fued finished years ago.

I love the Crue, but Vince's voice towards the end of Carnival of Sins is awful! By the time they get to Kickstart My Heart, he is totally outta breath and cant keep up with the song, he skips half the lyrics.

He's not too bad, I don't think, and its a better standard than the axl of new.

  4. Well atleast that song is getting recognition, the solo in that song is magnificant. I do prefer Nightrain, but it isn't exactly comercial.

Also Stairway To Heaven is a shite solo, and an overrated song in general.

A great solo is Poison - Life Goes On, theres technique, skill and tons of emotion
