Why would i post for 10 years if there is almost no news? I got other things to do. I'm 28 years old and not so much time to be hanging out like a big fan on these forums. When i was 14 i would do that but not anymore. I'm not a person to start shit at concerts man i got a good job and don't know a single reason to get in a fight or something for a concert i payd for.

But anyway i still got all the albums all the old shit when i used to be a big fan and i still love GNR. But probably not like most of you guys. I'm just waiting patiently for the album to drop and still loving to see them live after all these years. But if he isn't coming through with the album i probably will lose interest again if nothing happens. I used to be the biggest fan in the 80's and 90's but that shit can die too. When they started touring again in 2001 i picked up my old habit of being a GNR follower for a little bit. Not so much like i used to but hey people get older.

Kids? We aren't in 1992? Most GNR fans are getting old and pushing 30. I think he is very unsure about himself and he listens to the fans. He was fine with the same setlist every night and all of a sudden he changes it? He wanted to do that himself? 1. Oh My God (at the shows in 2001)

2. Silkworms (at the shows in 2001)

3. Rhiad And The Bedoins (at the shows in 2001 and 2002)

4. Chinese Democracy (at the shows in 2001, 2002 and 2006)

5. Madagascar (at the shows in 2001, 2002 and 2006)

6. The Blues (at the shows in 2001, 2002 and 2006)

7. There Was A Time (at the shows in 2006)

8. I.R.S. (at the shows in 2006)

9. Better (at the shows in 2006)

10. Checkmate (?) if its even GnR

that can only leave room for at the most 5 to 6 NEW tracks which would be a disapointment to most people that have been wating forever for this cd...

Oh my god was never played live as far as i know. It was a soundtrack song only studio version is around. And allot of songs won't make the album like silkworms, oh my god, Rhiad maybe checkmate.....

Does anyone know the REAL reason why he doesn't do any changing in the setlist or play more illusion songs? Maybe he doesn't like the illusions when he looks back? Or he doesn't want the band to learn any other songs? It's gets fucking boring to do ALMOST the same songs since 2001.

The other guy who asked about don't cry. Axl doesn't sing it anymore since 1993. Because of the death of Shannon Hoon. But i don't like that reason because Axl wrote it alone and Shannon just appeared on the album it's not like they 'wrote it together. Play it as a tribute or something.

I have a solution.

Somebody should change all the clocks in Axl's hotel room and change his watch to show it's two or three hours later. This way, Axl would show up two hours after the start-time - according to his watch - but be right on time for fans.

Seriously though - Axl has his own internal clock and doesn't perform until he's ready to perform. He's always been this way - and likely always will be. So, when you buy a ticket to a GNR show, you shouldn't be shocked when he's late. It's all part of the "GNR experience."

That's true every die-hard fans knows it. But think about it. Only about 25% of the die-hard fans are at these concerts. 75% are normal fans. They don't buy into that shit anymore and waiting not accepted. Not even for Axl. This ain't 1992 or 1993. They aren't the biggest band in the world anymore. They aren't the most popular act in the world right now. It may be shocking for some people to hear but Axl is looked on by most people as a washed up rockstar with a coverband. Allot of people are willing to see the concert just because they liked the music from the past. They see it as Axl with a bunch of other guys performing the cool old songs. The new songs they don't care for. (only die-hard fans care). So Axl should get his act together because things will go wrong very soon if he let people waiting for 2 fucking hours.

You want this story backed up? Let's take a look at Spain. About 75% of the people started to call him a fucking asshole in about a hour waiting. Another hour later ALMOST A FUCKING RIOT. They don't want to keep waiting for 2 fucking hours as a "GNR experience". The news songs they didn't care for only the die-hard fans cared for that. At the Hammerstein shows 90% of die-hard fans were there a whole another audience then at the big arena's in Europe and the festivals. They don't fucking care about Axl little problems about being on time and what's going on in his head. Show up or get a fucking Riot.

Axl should realise by now that this ain't 1992-1993 and that he is the only member left and people are willing to give him a new chance and he is fucking them over for waiting. Fuck a "GNR experience".

It's very simple. This ain't no 1992 or 1993. Axl still thinks he is in the biggest and most popular band in the world right now. He isn't. In the eyes of most people in the world he is a washed up rockstar trying to make a comeback with allot of mistakes FRESH behind him (2002). People won't wait 2 hours for him anymore. In the past they would waited but not anymore. This was almost a riot and almost the european tour was FUCKED.

Because you can watch all the bootlegs you get but it still won't give the same feeling as being in the era when they were the most talked band in the world. You couldn't open a magazine withouth them being in it with the most outraged stories. And remember back then you didn't have the internet to get al the latest information and leaks. You have to go out and buy some bootlegs with ALLOT of luck and the knowing the right people. And then the magic moment you buy a ticket and saw the biggest and most notorious band in the world live. The excitement when Slash played a solo on top of Axl's piano and his raw, raw voice that he has seemed to lost (hope it is back a bit since this year).

But overall it's hard to explain. And then when you saw the freak show of 2002 INCLUDING Axl with his rediculous hiphop clothing it make me feel very very sad. To see Axl on those new pictures and without a complete freak show with gimmicks on stage it made me feel allot better. And his voice seems to be better also. So go Axl and go hired guys.

Yeah i used to get very excited too see the band playing. To see Slash on stage, and Duff on the bass etc.

Do you think i get excited when i see a new member playing some of the Slash solo's??? No i don't even care about the new members. Who the fuck are they? Not even Dizzy since i didn't care for him when i was younger.

But do i enjoy the new band? Ofcourse, this is a way to hear the music i know and love since my teenage years. I'm a still a big fan? Maybe not so much as i used to be in the past since it is the Axl show now. But i'm still excited and anticipating Axl's new music.
