Was this the Chinese Democracy tour, or was this the Appetite tour??? Axl probably wonders why people are calling him a nostalgia act, this is one reason! The least he could do was play more new songs since we might never see the new record!!!! Which brings me to number two.

2. STILL NO NEW RECORD!!!

1. 2002: NO SHOWS IN VANCOUVER AND PHILADELPHIA!!!

The major US promoter has been burned!!! VERY VERY BAD!!!!!!!

ENDNOTES: What is the future of AXL "GUNS N' ROSES" ROSE???? Will AXL be a modern day Brian Wilson?? Writing and recording with rare appearences on a stage??!!NO tours,just records??Then again,Brian Wilson actually released his records, and he wasn't the singer!!!It very safe to say that another US tour would not be met with a green light by promoters!!!! This will also hurt the sales of "Chinese Democracy" if it is ever released!!! If the record was released 6 months to a year ago, it might have been number one if promoted correctly. Now it looks like number 41 on the charts, followed by a small club or theatre tour!!! For the past few years the media has set up bear traps, patiently waiting for AXL THE BEAR to come out of his cave, and so far he has walked into ever one of them!!! Now they're all saying "I told you so," THIS IS ALSO VERY VERY BAD!!!! The believers are now skeptics,the skeptics are now doubters!!!!AXL, it is not 1992,it is 2002!!! You are not the king you were in 92' in which you were really the only "ride in the park." You can't be walking aroung like you own the place ten years later!!! people are not going to bow down to you because you were huge 10 years ago!!! You have to re prove yourself,so far you've only proven the media trash!!!

      When I found out in 1999 that the band I once worshipped was an all new lineup, I was slightly bothered by it. After much thought I realized that the new lineup was reality(G&R), and the old was nostalgia(GNR). I also figured that Guns N Roses was AXL anyway. This though was proven to me in 2000 when I attended an AC/DC show @ Madison Square Garden in which Slash's Snakepit opened. The performance was met with shouts of "nobody cares Slash!" The release of the record, and the breakup of that band was yet more proof!!! Since than I have been in full support of the new G&R lineup!!! This lineup was carefult constructed,and was built to last. Each member having his own distinct style, and entertainment value.  But lately I have been hearing that Axl doesn't "get along" with this line up either??? So then what is the point???!!! Does AXL really get along with anyone??? Should we have a new lineup for every show??? How many times has the GNR/G&R lineup changed in the past 10 years???Anybody??? I don't even know!!!

Even though I support G&R fully, I don't see it being as big as it was going to be back in August 2002!!! They were on the verge of blowing up, then this!!! Unless AXL and the promoters can come to an agreement,highly although a contract might no be a bad idea, or the new record does well,which is now tarnished goods, the future does not look bright for G&R!!! The only real option that is left is reforming the old lineup!!! This looks like the only way now that AXL has screwed himself!!Promoters,and record buyers may consider the old GNR lineup now that G&R has proven to be a diaster!!! But then again this is America!!! Sometimes all is forgiven!!! Hugh Grant got busted with a prostitute in 1995,......doesn'tt he have a big movie coming out this weekend!!!

AXL ROSE: The next Brian Wilson, or the next Rock n Roll has-been???? YOU DECIDE!  :-X

WHat an amazing night it was!!!! It still has not sunk in that I just saw Guns N Roses  at Madison Square Garden!!!!! Part of me is thinking, "Did I just see GNR, or did I just see the opening band??!!! That's how quick the night went by!!!

Overall it was amazing I have NO complaints!!! Here are some details!!!

    First off Mixmaster Mike came on for about 30-40 minutes, surprisingly the crowd didn't mind??!! After he finished I was expecting to sit there for another 4-5 hours!!! About a half hour later the lights went out, smoke filled the air, and the opening notes to JUNGLE were heard!!! But the reaction I had, and the reaction the crowd had was more of a "huh," than a "Whoa!" Half the crowd was getting beer!!! I personally thought it was the band "CKY" messing with the crowd since I have heard they like to antagonize the crowd!!! So once again,part of me is thinking, "did I just see GNR, or did I just see the opening band??!!!

    The setlist was the same as all the other shows. This was my only complaint going in,but now I have no complaints!!! It was all well worth it!! I still would like to hear songs like "Civil War." Maybe the next tour!!! "Heaven's Door" was beautifully dedicated to the victims of 9-11-01. The new songs all got a mild reaction, with "Madagascar" as the exception. I think 60-70% of the crowd was there because of the MTV VMA's alone, as most of the crowd around me was still talking about the amazing surprise performance the happened in August!! I have read other fan reviews where the authors say that they and 5 others were the only ones that seemed to know the new stuff. I beg to differ!!!! I think last night, I was the only one that knew the new stuff!!!!! But I think the mild reaction was just typical "Rock N Roll science!" People are not going to cheer something they are hearing for the first time!! The loud reaction to "Madagascar" was the proof of that!

    The crowd was beautifully composed of mainstream fans & suits,as well as the classic die-hard GNR fans!! Surprisingly there the men were largely out numbered by women.

    The players executed their craft perfectly!! There was a warm response for Dizzy,as he is the only loyal member. Brain was looking very Dave Navarro on this run.For his intro he played a bit of Led Zeppelin's "Rock N Roll" to which Axl responded with something along the lines of, "OOO, a car commercial." No disrespect was ever shown to Stinson,Fortus,or Finke,or    during the set......then there was BUCKETHEAD!!!! The crowd erupted!!! It was an in genius addition to the show when he soloed, danced, passed out toys to the crowd like an "Mass murderer Santa Claus from Outer space", through around a rag doll, moved around like a robot,and came out with a special flashing light bucket for the outro to "November Rain!!!!!" Axl announced him from   "A chicken coup in a galaxy far far away." I guess that is what we got!!.....ALL in ALL,....no Slash chants!!!!

    AXL was in RARE form to say the least!!! During one of his rants he called out Conan O'Brien,who said Axl looked like a "fat gut teeter tottering" after the performance at the VMA's,to deliver him crispy cream donuts. He then proceed to pass the donuts out to the crowd for a while til' he "just remembered he had a show to do." Sohe then asked the security guards to pass out the donuts to the crowd as he called he "Axl's White Trash Bakery & Bistro Delivery!!" Funny stuff,the crowd ate it up!!!! Pun intended! He then proceeded to perform the A-hole song on the piano to which he explained "sorry wrong song." He said that the original line up "probably never really were his true friends," and that this " was indeed a reunion tour,since he got all of himself out to go on tour." GREAT STUFF! Overall Axl come off respectable,intelligent,funny, and entertaining at the same time.

   This was my first GNR show ,since I couldn't make it to GUNS N metallica 10 years ago(which still bothers me!),and it is definitely not my last!!!!! At the very end AXL said "See you this Summer." There was no mention of a new record all night. All in ALL this was a 5 out of 5 star show from top to bottom,though I don't feel this was the best show they could've put on!!! I have a strange feeling that this is only the beginning, and that everything will be bigger, and bolder for GUNS N ROSES from here on out.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>By the way, I'm not actually pissed about CIvil War!!! I bet they'll play it next time!!

I love "Oh my god" I have a feeling that was just for the soundtrack!!! All signs point to Silk Worms being shelved!!! I  thought it wasn't bad, but it was the weakest out of the new stuff cause it starts and stops!!!I'm slightly pissed myself!!! But I can't be pissed because I've been waiting ten years for this!!! I just hope they make it to NY!!!WHY you ask??? This tour is basically Greatest Hits and 3 new songs!!! We are not hearing anything we haven't already heard!!! I've heard the new 3-4 songs over and over again!!! I think they should played something we haven't all heard yet, as most die hards have been looping these tracks for 2 years now!!!!! ALso, Civil War is my all time favorite GNR track!!!! Doubt I'll hear it in NY!!!!! :'( :'( :'( Nor will I hear THE GARDEN,ESTRANGED,COMA,YESTERDAYS, ANYTHING OFF OF LIVE LIKE A SUICIDE ,THE LIST GOES ON AND ON!!!!!  So I'm torn between feeling elated,  ;Dand feeling like maybe I should wait for the next tour!!??  ???But who knows when and if there will be another tour,plus I've been waiting ten long years since my first time was supposed to be Gun's N Metallica but I got screwed out of that!!!! > JUST MY TWO CENTS!!!Even thought the setlist has been the same for every show, I'd love to hear and see what the setlists are for all the shows!!! Post them hear !!!
