  1. No,...i just think it's an attempt to kiss as much ass as possible in hopes to get beta and gnr management to notice this board.

Now's there's a good answer. I've been thinking the same thing....because before, threads weren't deleted every three seconds...now, it's the same as the other board.

I have no idea why so many people are kissing up to Axl and his crew....

Look at Ja**o...he's probably more hated over there NOW than he ever was...and well deserved to be, I might add.

I don't know, I guess I won't waste my time on another thread after this one gets deleted.

  2. ...Because people are on a roll today!

NOTE: If you say anything bad, or truthful, about the band, your threads will be deleted and you'll probably be banned.

Silence the ones who speak the truth.

That's ok, we don't need to say anything, Axl speaks enough through his actions for everyone who's tired of it all.

  3. Picture this, what if Guns came to Mexico, playing nine new songs and a bunch of obscure material of the Illusion albums.

Don't you think the fans would be pissed not hearing Nightrain, Paradise City and November Rain?

Sure, it'd please the forums but the shows are meant to enjoy those attending (and perhaps for the first time), not some conspiracy theorists on an internet forum.

Sure, but what's the excuse for every other show Axl has done in the last five years?

You people don't get it. The audience Axl was playing in front of means JACK SHIT. You can try to use the excuse that the crowd in Mexico wanted to hear the old stuff - OK, here's the problem, it's the SAME setlist from the U.S. tour in 2002. It's the SAME setlist from last summer's European tour. It's the SAME setlist from last year's U.S. tour. Now we're back to another tour and it's still the SAME setlist.

...and people should be use to this bullshit by now. The band will continue to play all the old hits because, as it seems, Axl either doesn't have any other songs, or he refuses to do any of the other new ones!

The album is never going to come out, and people will continue to follow this nutcase. I gave up on him a long time ago...but I had to see if the setlist changed, figuring maybe I could be wrong...when I saw the same, repeated setlist that we've had for the last 2-3? years, I just laughed.

Chinese Democracy isn't coming out. I'm glad I agree with someone here. However, if the record company did something about it, than Chinese Democracy would be closer to existence.

I don't know about everyone else, but it's a little bit harder to support Axl when he's the only one left in Guns N' Roses, and his hired musicians are playing cover songs of the old band.

I'll still support him, I love his new leaks. Hopefully he'll put those leaks into good use eventually.

Hell, even if this album really does exist, it'll get leaked before Axl finally decides to release it, and I honestly hope it happens that way...serves him right for jerkin off the fans for as long as he has.

There are plnety of other bands that can be on time, play new setlists, and release new albums. There shouldn't have to be "Well, it's Guns N' Roses, that's just how it is".....Fuck that.

  4. ...and I hope this place isn't starting to become HTGTH Part II. The last time I knew, people were allowed to have an opinion here. It's one of these reasons I joined up here. If the band has a bad show or if Axl is up to his usual bullshit, then people should be allowed to post about it and discuss it.

It's one to have an opinion in a thread and it's another to cupcake....there is a difference.

Anyway, like I've said before, I love the band's music, and I can't really blame anything on any of the other band members except for Axl. He's the one that controls everything and the guy has obviously lost any sense he had.

He's still going on late, he's lied about this supposed "album" time and time again, etc etc.

Keep giving the fans lies and excuses while you pull out another Rehash Tour, only it's called the "Chinese Democracy" Tour...isn't this Chinese Democracy Tour Part III now?

The hardcore fans have finally been seeing the light and it's only gonna get worse for Axl, the band, and any GNR forum until he finally puts out this album....until then, anything he says or does means nothing.

  6. When are you all just gonna realise that it ain't coming out,not tommorow, not the 13th,not the 21st,not december.....Not even next year. I've Waited & watch this happened too many times. Its just one big joke on behalf of axl & the crew. While we go to shows hoping Axl will say a date,Axl and Merck are laughing at how guillible us fans are and enjoying all the money we used on purchasing tickets to see them play. It ain't rocket science! :P

I'm starting to think you're right.

We'll see on the 21st. If it's not out then, forget it:

    The game is over.

  7. I doubt we'll ever see the album, he's scared shitless to release it because he knows, we know, the whole music world KNOWS that this album is going to Resurrect his career to where it was or kill him off completely.

Hell, does the album even exist? We've at least seen pictures of UFOs, Ghosts, BigFoot...

  8. It's good that GN'R finally show some will to communicate. For once I actually believe that this was not Axls fault. They could off course have gone along with the show, but knowing how certain officials and security people can be, it could have been a mess. I'd rather miss a show than get a chair smashed down my neck.

But once again it seems the brilliant minds in GN'R has missed the big and important picture. They're surprised at all the negativity? We all know the real reason for the increasing dissent in all GN'R related issues. The mysterious, legendary fucking album! It's not the tour, Robins beard or Axls girlfriends that draw people to these boards, it's the never ending CD spiral. Once again they've promised us this thing. End of the year they say. Now we're at soon to be mid-november. No date, no update, no indication, no fucking nothing. Oh, I forgot, we got this:

We have chosen to take the public heat for these events in order to have another shot at the future today with a new album.

Now what on earth is this supposed to be? It certainly does not sound like a guy about to release an album. It's basically a rewrite of what we've heard in 99,00,01,02,04,05 and countless times in 06.

I must say, they're real smart about writing a 3000 word piece on why nothing is their fault, and off course diss the fanbase a little, what the fuck have we been doing for them lately? Naturally, this only happens when their ass is once again on the line and they're desperately trying to limit any negative exposure. But still they expect us to believe this as an act of "caring" for the fans, along with the increasing censorship of our opinions. They actually dare to claim that is in our interest as well. Censoring bullshit rumors and bashing posts? I'm with ya. Not allowing legitamate articles to be discussed? That's pure and utter bullshit. What are we? Children?

Now this is all good, we're becoming used to this route. You've made your point, and I as a fan naturally appreciate being informed, no matter how vague and irrelevant the information may be. But what about that album guys? The one you've promised us this year? Is it still happening, or what? If you want to create some positive vibes among the fans, adressing that issue would go a long way. I don't need a release date, just tell me something. What's the plan? Is there a plan? Has it been postponed? If so, please tell me, I can wait, but I would sure like to know how long that wait is going to be.

As of now you got the whole GN'R community expecting a release this year. Now if this does not happen, and on top of that we don't get a reason why, then I'll promise you with the negativity created by the cancellation in mind, YOU'VE AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET!

    No kidding.

Like mentioned before, let em keep fuckin with us until the SMART majority of us finally say "Fuck this and fuck you" and just walk away from it. I can see "Where are they now" coming real soon. I don't expect Axl to ever resurface again, and I expect the remaining members to get good gigs.

  9. For the record, I was at the Philly no-show, I was at opening night at Hammerstein, and I will be at MSG. So Merck can go fuck himself with his repeated accusations flung towards message board geeks that don't go to shows. And more and more I'm thinking fuck Axl too. I've been a devoted fan for almost twenty years and I and fans like me have a right to bitch about the shit ass treatment we have gotten over the years. This whole bullshit "we did it cause we care so much for the fans" excuse is transparent to the point that it would be laughable if it wasn't so infuriating. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm seriously considering pirating CD if it ever comes out rather than give one more penny of my money to these fucking narcissists. And if I'm saying this, you can bet that there are thousands of other "real fans" who are thinking the same things.

  10. "The show in Portland was cancelled last night because the fire marshall made it impossible for us to believe we could do our show without putting at risk the safety of the fans and the band".

Just don't fit, marshall putting fans at risk?

"The cancellation had nothing to do with pyro or ticket sales. Putting our fans, band and crew first cost $200,000 last night so we did not make the decision without great thought and care and it was made in consultation with our agents and our promoter both of whom lost money as a result and both of whom supported our decision 100% as they too could see that the authorities were more than overzealous in their approach".

If your going to make claims you should make them, not vague get out of jail comments. If for " legal reasons " you can't say then don't mention it!

"For all of you to be speculating without any knowledge or credible information that the responsibility for this is Axl's or the band's is nonsense."

We specualte because the band or Axl or you has kept us in the dark for fucking years!

"I see a number of people flaming Jarmo and the moderators for removing posts at our request. I understand that you feel that we are using our influence to censor you."

Thats because you are, and whats worse is you don't get whats wrong with it.

"If someone wants to express their opinion or critique the band and its performances, recordings, actions etc that does not bother us but when you spread lies and disinformation about everything from ticket sales to release dates to how Pollstar calculate their chart we will use our relationship with Jarmo to shut you down because you cause chaos and confusion and you try to take something good and turn it into

    something ugly".

So removing posts about an advert that is online due to your cock up is fair?

"Jarmo is your greatest ally and he has a proximity to us that is to your benefit. No one else in the online community has it. He has credible information for you directly from the source. We are not looking for any negative favours. It is not how the band has ever operated. It is not how Axl operates and it is not how I operate."

What a fucking joke :rofl-lol::rofl-lol: , censoring the fans that pay the bills.

"Most bands do not go to Portland, Maine because it is what the music business calls a "soft market" but we had a lot of letters from fans in the area and we were determined to play there regardless of whether it was "only" 3500 people."

Lucky fans they are that they have such easy interaction with you and your magical fan contact :rofl-lol:

"We have chosen to take the public heat for these events in order to have another shot at the future today with a new album".

Makes a fucking change, new album?, what album would that be since we are never told of its progress?

You hit the nail on the head, my friend.

  11. I don´t think we had so many "newbies" on this forum before and expressing themselves with such harsh words. OMG!? Is HTGTH emtpy?

Nah, people have opinions....It's more pathetic to treat the band like Perfect Gods.

As for me, in case I was included in that list, I was on here before as Midnight Gunner but sometimes when I logged in, it said the menu was disabled...and I know I wasn't banned. So, I made this name a while back, and it still does the same thign every now and then, but at least I can post. lol

I actually always preferred this place because at least Madison doesn't kiss ass or ban you because you have an opinion.

  12. If someone wants to express their opinion or critique the band and its performances, recordings, actions etc that does not bother us.

    I call bullshit.

That's the MAIN reason why Jarmo banned me, because God forbid I say how lame it is how the band never changed the setlist after how many months....and soon after they switched it up. :rofl-lol:

  13. After reading Merk's comments I wanted to have frozen watermelons cannon shot into my crotch! The man is just an excuse machine.

That statement right there almost had me pissing my pants! :rofl-lol:

An excuse machine....God, I have to remember that one! :rofl-lol:

Anyway, yeah, I agree with you. I'm tired of all the rants, riddles, and endless mind games. Release the album or go away.

Releasing the album will erase your endless slate of bullshit and deception....just a tip for ya.

  14. If anything, and this is probably a longshot seeing that it concerns Axl and Merck, but I figure it had something to do in relation to not wanting another Great White Incident...just my two cents.

Except they said the cancellation had nothing to do with pyro. THAT actually would have been a more acceptable excuse than the runaround they are trying to spew.

Why are we still fans again? :(

I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Oops, my bad. Well either way, look at who were talking about.

I'm beginning to think that Axl and Merck are obsessed with The Riddler.

  15. If anything, and this is probably a longshot seeing that it concerns Axl and Merck, but I figure it had something to do in relation to not wanting another Great White Incident...just my two cents.

...and yeah, they give us this crap, but can't give us anything on the album. Why are we still fans again? :(

  16. One question: why can't we get a statement this articulate and detailed regarding the release of CD? Merck and Axl go out of their way to explain the cancellation of the show but they can't be bothered to give us a release date-saying 1 Tuesday this year it will drop isn't cutting it. The fans have a right to some respect and they can't be bothered to tell us one specific thing about CD, the wait behind the release, reasons for 2002 tour being cancelled, etc.

    Thank you.

  17. AXL Not Smelling Like A Rose To Fans - Nov. 7, 2006

Several disappointed GUNS N' ROSES fans spoke to the Portland Press Herald about the group's cancellation of its concert at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland Monday (Nov. 6), 2 1/2 hours before the event was scheduled to begin.

The unexplained cancellation angered fans, many of whom pinned the decision on GUNS N' ROSES lead singer Axl Rose, who has a reputation for calling off shows.

"I got all dressed up; I went all out for this concert," said 17-year-old Misty McAuliffe of Rockland, standing across the street from the civic center in a tight black outfit and a GUNS N' ROSES belt buckle.

Fans like McAuliffe turned a section of Free Street behind the civic center into ground zero for Rose-bashing Monday night.

While fans griped outside, a crew of dozens worked inside the civic center to take apart the stage, which was show-ready - lighting, amplifiers and all — by 5:30 p.m., when GUNS N' ROSES' promoter told the venue's manager the show was off.

Steve Crane, the civic center's general manager, said the band's promoter, AEG Live, did not give a reason for the decision.

Crane, who has worked at the venue for 29 years, said he could remember only one or two other times when a show was called off so close to the scheduled starting time.

He said he scrambled to tell local television and radio stations about the decision in hopes some fans would get the word before leaving for the concert.

Approximately 3,400 fans bought tickets for the show; Crane said the venue could've accommodated around 6,500 spectators Monday. Tickets were $65, and vendors will give refunds beginning today at the box office.

Chris Kirby, 39, of New Gloucester said a parking garage attendant in Portland told him the show was canceled. Kirby brought his son, stepson and one of the boys' friends with him to the show.

The four stood outside the civic center around 6:15 p.m. Monday when a passerby jokingly asked, "Where's Axl?"

"He better be far, far away," Kirby said, laughing.

Jonni Tegarden, 58, of Rumford said she attended the show at the Meadowlands Sunday and couldn't believe the Portland concert was canceled.

"(Rose) was in a really good mood last night," said Tegarden, who was once president of California-based Ruthless Management and said she has known the singer for years.

Rose, who has been going from city to city by plane during the tour, did not come to Portland, the civic center's Crane said.
