The urban myth about records sounding better then cd's is just that. Pressed CD's (as apposed to burned cd's) are far superior to vinyl. There is just more information on the cd then on the similar vinyl. But a good record has a very "live" sound to it. It may sound a lot cooler then the cd. Listening to older rock or metal on vinyl has it's benefits. It is a different experience. You feel more part of the scene. I usually prefer vinyl, but due to it's physical limitations, it is just not practicle in a digital world. But vinyl is very interesting and fun to listen too. Music purists swear by vinyl, but it is not because it is superior to a cd. The appreciate the crudeness of it. They like "gizmoness"(borrowed from the late Indian Larry) of it. If you digitize a vinyl and comapre it to a cd, you will see that the cd has much more information.

Was wondering if anyone else likes this band, mostly its Travis Meeks, he fired the rest of the band but kept the name. I really dig his style and his voice. He lists GNR as a major influence. He tried out for "the project" and when he didnt get the gig, he badmouthed Slash and Duff saying "these guys had no idea what they were doing when they made Appetite", that pissed me off, but I dig this guys music. Hes had an album that has been "coming soon" for like 3 or 4 years, but he has personal demons(drug addiction) holding him back, so what's everybody's thoughts on his music?

Since when did dudes start rating pop rock chicks on how truly "rock" they are? Do you like your chick singers to be biting the heads off bats or ripping up hotel rooms?

She's hot, she's got a great voice and she sings pop rock instead of Metallica. Oh, and GNR is one of her favorite bands and she has AFD on her iPod. What's the crime?

there is no crime. although some people think that, but its just weird to hear that some pop singer likes Guns N Roses. Its like finding out that Ozzy likes to listen to Motzart (i'd shoot my self if he did) its just a weird combo.

you sound like a fucking idiot, most musicians are "artists" therefore they like many kinds of music. GNR are a great band, so who cars if she digs them. She has an awesome voice, I cant believe American idol actually put out an artist with some talent
