Axl was amazing!!! the whole band were. I payed for the regular tickets, not the VIP, and for some reason they put the fence so far from the stage and it created a big gap between the low priced tickets to high priced tickets.
they went onstage right on time. I also felt like im the only one around me knowing the new songs, and everyone else were there for the clasiscs (which is fine)
Axl's voice was better then expected, and also his energy on stage. I also felt the lack of communication from Axl, but like you said, it aws probably because of the curfew.
the set list was pretty good, although i dont think that nightarin should have been that far up in the show. its a very intense song and should have been in the first 5 songs in my opinion.
all the instrumentals were great, especially dj ashba's melodic solo. the israeli anthem by bumblfoot was a nice surprise and the crowd just loved it. paradise city was insane!! but thats the part when i really hated the organizers for doing that fence so far from the stage and the vip crowd...a year ago i was at a slash show in a little club in Chile, and when paradise city came one the whole place was shaking, no fences no nothing!
all in all i had a great time!

can someone explain whats the differance?
-
tube or not?
-
ok thanks, looks like that hot plate you've mentioned is just what i need.
-
do the solidstate marshall amps have the marshall sound?
also, is there a good tube amp that wouldnt be too loud (for practising purpose) when the vol. is half way up?
cos if the vol. knob is at 2 or 3 the tubes wont be warm enough and it wont produce the max sound.
-
cool, but 330$ for the pickups? in musiciansfriend.com both cost 145$.
-
ive noticed the low prices at musiciansfriend.com compared to the AVT series and other marshall amps so i figured there not as good as most marshall amps.....is that true?
by the way- post 500

i have a fneder 25 frontman for about 4 years, i havent turned it on for a week and yesterday when i did, the clean was fine but when i hit the footswitch to gain, it was really loud and overdriven, and now i have to put the distortion volume only half way (before level 1, and it can get to 10) or else its too noisy, the weird thing is. the clean status sounds just fine. what is the problem?

i hate to appear as insulting your intellegence, but it sounds like user-error to me, a loose wire should not ever do something like that, i imagine a busted capacitor(sp?) or transistor could do that, but it's unlikely. check your EQ isn't maxed out, and is how you like it. maybe your distortion level is maxed out? it really sounds like you overlooked something.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
the EQ was set just as i left it, and like i said the clean status sounds fine. and whats that about a loose wire? i didnt mention that

get a 535q its $110 bucks. you can set the settings pretty much like a rack. Its a Multi wah wah.

thats the one i have for more than a year, i just wanted to know what slash used not so i can get it, just out of curiosity.
and the last message i posted in this thread was sarcastic crash diet, but thanx anyway.

Also, if you're asking what gear Slash uses so that you can run out and buy it thinking that it will make you sound exactly like Slash - forget it. Slash's sound consists of expensive Gibsons, over-the-top Marshalls and rack-mount systems that cost more than I care to think about. All of these are set up by a professional sound tech, so don't be too bummed if your $99 wah doesn't give you that thick arena tone that Slash gets.

aawwwww, i thought if i had slash's wah wah all i had to do was to pluck the strings on my guitar and i will have the exact same sound slash has, but now you bursted my bubble, thankyou very much......................
