Where's the pre & post party gonna be in MPLS? Is there alot of places to party around the Target center? Just kidding about the Viqueen thing, us cheddarheads can't say shit this year :-)

I hope they announce it right away if, god forbid, they have to cancel again. 4 of us will be road-trippin from Beertown, too. I will be eagerly awaiting Iowa reports tonight.

NO, I did pay for 8 tickets. I bought them for me and the 7 friends that went with me to see them open for Aerosmith in 1987 at Alpine Valley. It cost me more than I wanted, but I thought it would be cool to have a little mini-reunion for all our fat, old asses

Boy what great news!!! If you bought tickets for Milwaukee from ticketmaster, you get all your money back, less a few dollars a ticket. But, if you bought your tickets from the official Guns n Roses site, they directed you to tickets.com. At Tickets.com you only get face value back for your tickets, $77, when you paid $90. So, I lose $104 for the 8 tickets that I bought for a show that's not even happening. Are you fucking kidding me!!!!!!!!!!

FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is bullshit!!! Finally, my favorite band of all time was coming to Milwaukee for the 1st time ever!!! Suddenly, we have to put on the sold out show in Chicago and cancel one of the lowest selling shows two days later. FUCK!

With all the bad stuff going on after a whole year of nothing but promise and positivity; is everyone crashing? like someone else said, the far downs rumor just broke me........it even got me banned at HTGH just for asking about it (explain that one to me).

The local radio station in Milwaukee is having a "Chinese Democracy or Chinese Food" promotion. You call in at a certain time and if you win, you get GNR tickets. The kicker is: if GNR doesn't show up, they say they'll give you Chinese food instead. The local morning show guys do the commercial in Chinese accents. I don't know if this is funny, or if I'm pissed cuz' they're ranking on my band (and possibly hurting ticket sales) what do you think?
-
how many of you think that the Deputy manager of HMV Guernsey is sitting a home laughing his ass off?
-
Just saying far downs got me -1 karma, wtf? nazi's
-
Do you think MSG will be even more kickass if Axl show's up for soundcheck?
-
they should try having Axl show up for sound check
-
Finnaly got my tickets in the mail today, FUCK YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Yeah, I went to Aerosmith/Motley Crue at Alpine a couple weeks ago.......sad to see it go........
Did anyone here see the old GNR live??

I saw them open for Aerosmith at Alpine Valley, Wisconsin in 1987. Funny story : they were originally booked for Milwaukee's Summerfest (I have a t-shirt that says "Guns n Roses Summerfest 1987" on it with the cross) Once they blew up they started touring with Aerosmith so they cancelled the Summerfest gig and went to Alpine instead. They blew Aerosmith off of the stage. To this day it was the best concert I have ever seen and I've seen lots.
I also saw them kick off their world tour at Alpine Valley in 1991. They had Skid Row opening for them (who were pretty kick-ass themselves that night). I sat next to a USA Today reporter that could not believe that they were touring before the UYI albums came out and was generally a bitch the whole concert. She DID end up giving them a good review on the front page of the USA Today the next day. Show was awesome, Axl was running around like a mad-man in a cast, umpire's chest protector & AXL hightops.
I've seen them a few times since, twice in Chicago & once in Minneapolis. I bought tickets for their Milwaukee show a couple tours ago but it got cancelled.
To this day, Guns N Roses has never played Milwaukee!
