Nothing cool or interesting about being late for a show. Any late showing will cause cancellation or short set meaning fans lose out.

There is no one driving the GNR "bus" promotionally..we know that for years now...thus no real website, no videos, no singles, no big tv interviews, no major magazine articles...

Getting the CD out and touring are as good as it gets given the way the operation runs. We should be counting ourselves lucky to have what we have.

It is well know at this stage that the show was early because axl had a party in london he needed to be at that evening. He was taken by helicopter to airport straight after show and was in london just before midnite

I really wouldnt worry yourself over it mate...there are plenty of other posts to read. As the saying goes "you really needed to be there" to know what we are talking about.

Sam that was me.. I tried to ring you twice around 6.30pm from just outside venue, you were probably in there already. I bumped into Frazer "Holden Caulfield" and we went for a pint or four. Met Polish fan with no ticket, felt sorry for her, but she had seen them only a few weeks ago...she introduced herself as the girl that had "axl f**k me" across her chest..nice She said there is a pic of her on a polish gnr site

Loved the show, bout 6 rows from front and survived the crush with just minor bruises.

Every guy in that bands knows (apart from Dizzy) that they are temporarily in GNR until the old guys come back, you cannot fake it on stage, each are from very different backgrounds and it shows. They are hired musicans...that is a fact.

Tommy is the only knew guy who axl seems pretty close to and from I have seen on at the dublin concert & Youtube he has lost his motivation...definitely shows signs of a guy who has had enough and is just holding on now for the record to be released....what happened to the bubbly general tommy stinson in rio 2001?

On the upside, Axl is singing better, doing some hellrasing and is wearing better clothes....the only thing missing now is the legendary rants and targeting people in audience for eviction etc

Not exactly a 1st hand Source!! but mate of mine knows one of the admin staff at the hotel. Apparantly the hotel cant work out if it is good or bad publicity for them!

I think it can be only good for the hotel...name gets noticed around the world, famous people stay there and security tried to deal with situation...dont really see how theyre reputation is harmed

The following is not stated as fact but was the story told by a staff member

Axl was supposed to be meeting up at the hotel with Beta and others at a prearranged aftershow booze up and was late by 5hrs. Beta went to bed and was woken by axl thumping her door in a very drunken state, he didnt even have any idea what time it really was. She got dressed and went out to see what was happening axl had already gone back to reception looking for someone to ring her room. She met him in reception where a shouting match insued and a bit of a scene was caused. Axl was asked to keep the noise down and take his arguments elsewhere by security so Axl freaked and started the rockstar tirade of do you know who you are dealing with etc? axl threw a sign at a wall mirror in the lobby. At this point security floored him and were holding him down until the police came. While being held down he decided to leave his mark on one of the guys.

This is eactly why I love this guy...who else would want to sit in a plane on a runway for four hours after landing!

guys a great friend of mine was there at the hotel hoping to get to meet axl and he said it is storm in a tea cup. The honest truth was that if anything the whole thing has been blown up by the media and looks like another Axl publicity stunt. He is very good at these stunts and makes it look like he is the victim etc. He said there should be photos (funny enough) because there were plenty of paperazzi snapping.

Read in the paper this morning Axl was walking round Knightsbridge in London yesterday. He was seen in Harey Nichols looking at T-Shirts. Anybody meet him or even hear about this?

Im just imagining walking around london and bumping into axl shopping, would be the most surreal thing that could happen.

As I said before lighting crew and stage show only moving to Europe now for the shows, i guess they can travel apart from the band!

sorry for not believing you but I just had information which was completely the opposite.

Logistically dont see why the band would be set-up in a studio in england to do a video! when they are rehearsing for European tour in the US.

This pic isnt recent and the band is still in the US, travelling directly to Europe in comings days.

I know this because an old friend of mine works on the lighting for the show.
