Damn, missed all this...it's cool to hear from Axl, that's for sure! Guns N' Roses introduced me to rock music, and the new band introduced me to many artists I would have never heard of otherwise, and there's some really inspirational music on CD. Cannot wait for new music or another tour (2006 was awesome)!

Balkan Beat Box - Nu Med
-
Fantastic stuff, I hope they come the the UK.

My only question for those that didn't mention AFD in your top 5 - why are you on a Guns N' Roses fan forum??
I'll answer for myself: I used to be a huge Guns N' Roses, but, as I got exposed to more and more music, I started discovering artists that I like more. It doesn't mean that GN'R is not on my favourite artists, but none of their outputs ranks as top 5 for me. Still, I like the forum, especially this section and the Anything Goes one (the two I visit the most) and that's mainly why I still post here.
The same happened to me, I hardly listen to rock anymore, but keep checking the site in vain hope of Chinese Democracy. Anyway, heres my list:
1. Balkan Beat Box (Self titled)
2. Manu Chao - Proxima estacion: Esperanza
3. Lacuna Coil - In a reverie
4. Rahid Taha - Made in Medina
5. Aerosmith - Back to the roots bootleg (it's awesome!)

They must be hugely underrated in the UK, I've never heard of them! What do they sound like?
-
Oh God NO!
-
Brian Johnson has lost his voice
He had a voice?
not too excited about a new album but a tour would be great!
-
Are You Dead Yet? is great, I got into them through that, but Alexi's voice seems much more screamo on the earlier records and I can't get into them.
One awesome guitarist though.

I voted Mutt, but I'd rather change it to Ted. Having the guitar in one speaker and the band in the other one is great. Bob Rock is terrible though, his production is always overblown.

I love how the record shops are going nuts over this, saying it's a bad decision. It's given him HUGE publicity.
-
Did the Rev realise he was the only one in the band with any talent?

Toys in the Attic does it for me, especially the one-two combo of Sweet Emotion and No More No More.
Has anyone got the live bootleg Back to the Roots? That is one amazing album, I listen to it more than their studio stuff!
-
I was really disappointed with Amorica, to me it sounds like the first Slash's Snakepit album - especially the singing.
-
Man i thought Cornell was good, but after seeing him live its like it reached another level. I'm a huge fan now.

Check out stuff by Tony Levin.
-
I just ordered this off play after seeing his amazing performance at Hyde park in the rain, I hope it's as good as Euphoria Morning.
-
His real name is Adalberto V. Miranda? Wow, who knew that?
-
Probably Velvet Revolver, but recently ive been getting into Gogol Bordello. Great band.
