Ive been hearing that better is better than uyi1&2 and that these new songs are the best and that paradise city is overrated and 80's hair band radio shit, cmon people wake up and realize that gnr topped out, and that the new album will be the best album since uyi, but the best years are over, music as we knew it is basically finished, i hope the best for this album and i hope im wrong here, but the only guy i can think of who has completely rearanged his lineup and still put out the hits is ozzy osbourne(and he still had his bassist and drummer for most of them), and he never had any 10+ year gaps in releases, this album is gonna piss off alot of people, lets just face the facts and realize that gnr is done and axl rose is gonna release some good shit, but not gnr, i mean would u consider mama im comin home a black sabbath song( ok thats a bad example but u know what im sayin. this rant should probably be closed soon!

wont gnr be in europe during ozzfest, at least for some of it, maybe they can do what vr did and do half of it but this looks very unlikely.

Technology being what it is today has led me to believe that these "leaks" are nothing more than some fan's playing around with channels of these MP3s on their computer. It would not be particularly to simly remove one channel of sound from the sound files... this would explain why the instrumental leaks are exactly the same quality, the same instrumentation and the same length as the previous leaks.

Does anyone else buy into this theory - or am I simply a showing the characteristic skeptical reactions of a long time GN'R fan?

nah, im pretty sure u cant tinker out a full vocal track, not of those recordings anyway, the recording programs ive used(sonar/pro tools, etc..) wont let u do anyhting to an mp3 file cept turn the volume of the overall recording up or down, no im not saying this cant be done but you would have to be a real loser to spend that much time trying to figure out how to get rid of axl roses vocals on a song, i mean for a regular internet loser like me or you to use sound programs to figure out how to take the vocal track off of a song so i could use it in forum and chatrooms , cmon, this track is obviously recorded before the vocals were added, which means its internal.

106.5 KWHL in Anchorage says they have an official CD of the IRS single, which they will play today or tomorrow. The DJ said that they "could play it today, but maybe tomorrow. Hell, you've waited 10 years, you can wait another day". They announced that they have a GnR single, and I called the station (907-349-9691) and asked for the title of the single and they said it was IRS. The website of the station is www.kwhl.com. I've already Emailed the DJ with the following Email, so please don't bomb the station with requests or questions. Also, the message says I don't know that it's IRS, I sent it before I got impatient and called.

Hey, you mentioned that you have a new GnR single… is this one of the leaks or was this straight from GnR’s management? I ask because 1. Lots of stations have gotten cease and desist orders for playing the leaks and 2. Three or four of the leaks are pretty high quality. Also, is the title ok to tell me? If it is IRS, Better, There Was a Time, or Catcher in the Rye, those are all songs where demos have been leaked in moderate to high quality. (Hope it’s Better, that’s by far the best tune of the four.)

This is weird, i dont know how much has changed on ebay in the last 2 years, but a band i knew (actually my brothers) had trouble selling a cd on ebay some time in 2003 because ebay said they do not sell cd-r's, which is what i presume this is, im gonna have my bro try and dig up that email, and im gonna contact ebay my self, they also stated something about unliscensed material(even though it was his own stuff since it was on a cd-r it wasnt liscensed or some bs), like i said i havent been on oebay in like 2 years,so please dont blast me if this info is irrelevant and outdated.

i think fortus and finck can nail it... they re pretty good. it would cool if they were just a"regular" band with 2 guitar players.... buckethead wasnt doing anything for the songs in 2002. nothing.

srry dude but finck and fortus are trash, slash is the last of a dying breed of 80/early 90s guitar gods, the new generation of drop d power chord no solo playing dooshbags has taken over, the only reason finck had solos on these track is probably because thats the way axl wrote the song and thats what axl told them to do it, if u heard the leads on the new track u can tell that finck is weak as shit, i dont care if its a demo, it will sound better on the final product but it will not hold a candle to what slash could of done. bucketheads not bad though:)

what I have heard from people who actually work in the business, a really optomistic date, would be end of march, a release date that is 10 days away with no advertisement is literaly impossible, and geffen knows without publicity it won't sell.

I have a feeling that GNR's long standing history of poor managment and poor communications may have something to do with the insecure and volatile nature of one W. Axl Rose. I may be wrong, but I think the red-headed recluse still pulls all the strings.

i understand that, i know axl doesnt have the best track record and isnt what u would call "reliable", but if rir is on the rir website, then why the f**k isnt it on the front page of any major media outlet(mtv vh1, ny times, anything!!!) north america made gnr so why the hell is south america gettin all the love,all we have to rely is what a bunch of random douchebags like myself can find with hours of relentless searching on the internet(which is always so accurate), in forums and so forth, argghhh!!!

Because their management is terrible. And thats the nicest way I can put it. They never let the fans know what is going on, I mean with the recent leaks, release date rumors, tour dates, etc... can we get something on the official website? I've edited a website before, it should take all of an hour at the most to make the necessary updates/announcements.

thats exactly what i mean, that email above is not confirmation enough for me, i want a statement thats quoted, a picture of merck and some of the band members holding a newspaper that says today date, todays headline, and a note in someones hand that says "we are playing rock in rio and these other shows". not a response to some random email, im sorry that just wont do it for me, u think theyd be happy to announce something like this, this is starting to get really gay.
