  1. Suicide Girls was just stupid and pointless. What a joke. I think they were on MAYBE 10 minutes(until about 11:15) and it was lame and a waste of time. It also seemed like their set was pulled early. It was really weird. The music started and then the lights came on. Its a bunch of girls simply dancing. Sorry put G N R on. I dont give a crap about this stuff.

They were the first on. They came on at about 8. They came on at 11:15 to pass time because of problems with Axl or something. I'd rather have them dance then have to sit there with the lights on for an hour. And I rather enjoyed the Suicide Show. I like to see practically naked girls jumping, skipping, and dancing around.

Well I am a girl and I dont like to see naked girls jumping & skipping :P Seriously-----I just didnt get the point of it. Just get your ass on the stage Axl and play.

  2. I got to the arena during Bach's set. I'm not really familiar with any of his new songs, but he kept the crowd into the show through his entire set. In my opinion, "18 and Life" was probably the highlight of his set. He just flat-out nailed the song.

The Eagles of Death Metal went on after Bach. Besides the songs being pretty much the same musically, most of the lyrics were pretty simple. To sum it up, they sounded just terrible last night, and were probably the worst band I've ever seen live. Everyone around me was booing during their set and shouting statements such as "You suck" and "Get off the stage" between their songs. I didn't participate in any of the booing, but I can't say I necessarily gave them a standing ovation after their set either.

GN'R went on at almost exactly midnight. I would say the arena was probably 70-75% full from what I could tell. They put on a great show and the crowd was really into it. In my section, the crowd was standing nearly the entire time, the only exception was during Ron's solo. Like it's been said beforein other topics, Axl did throw somebody out during Live and Let Die, and he did call the EODM the Pigeons of Shit Metal, which I, along with a lot of other people in the crowd found pretty funny. He also mentioned them again as Robin was playing the opening part to "Better." I couldn't tell exactly what he said, but it was something along the lines of "Well, you guys had to sit through the Pigeons of Shit Metal, but don't worry, it's going to get..." and then he started into the song. His earpiece was bothering him the entire show, with him even making a comment about it during the set. I forget the exact words but he described as something like "a garbage disposal grinding away in his ear over and over again." His also made a comment about the sound before "Patience" by saying that "this next song is something that I'm trying to have a little bit of tonight. But, it looks like I'm going to need a lot more of it than I thought." Even with all of these problems, the band and him put on a memorable, high-energy performance.

Though, the most impressing part of the night came after the band took their final bow. After they all left the stage, Axl came back by himself and thanked the crowd for bearing with him through all of the problems they had that night and said that he really appreciated their support. He also made a comment like "I had a pretty shitty day going so far, but it was really fun tonight." Then, he told everyone to have a safe trip home and wished them a good night again.

Nice review. However, no way was the arena 70-75% full. The Q holds 20,000 people. The top of the arena was blocked off by curtains leaving the club seats, 100 section and floor. The floor alone was MAYBE half full. I would say there was close to 7-8000 and I think thats even being nice. We had numerous empty seats by us.

  3. I agree. I thought it was classless for him to go off on their band like that. YOU picked them Axl...what does that say about you?? I ove GNR but the prima donna BS that Axl throws around is just ridiculous. Its no wonder half of the arena was empty last night--which is really a shame

Funny thing last night----after Axl ripped on Eagle of Death Metal, one of their fans apparently did not appreciate it and ran down near the side of stage and was flipping off Axl. It was so funny. Then Axl saw him and basically stopped singing and yelling for security to throw the guy out.

  4. Just a note, Axl always has run off to the side of the stage during songs. Hes done that snce the UYI days maybe even a little before. Usually does it during a solo in the song

Oh yeah I know. I first saw them open for Aerosmith and then headline with Skid Row....and noticed the same thing.

  5. Opening bands were HORRIBLE. Didnt see Baz as I didnt think he would be first on. We walked in at 9:30 and he was just finishing Youth Gone Wild. Then Eagles of Death Metal came on....who Axl later referred to as Pigeons Shit of Death Metal. The music itself was actually good but the lyrics and singing...oh my god. Lets just say they essentially got booed off of the stage

GNR came on about midnight and played until 2:15. Great show but Axl was having major meltdowns. We were sitting to the right of the stage by the sound guys and they were getting screamed at all night. Apparently his ear monitors werent working and he was flipping out. We all pretty much assumed the show would end abruptly but fortunately it didnt. He also kept disappearing during songs to the side of the stage. Not sure what was going on back there but I will just say I am sure it wasnt good.

As far as attendence goes...I would say MAYBE 7-8000. It was pretty empty. No lines for the bathroom in our section if that tells you anything. Just a weird night overall. I didnt get why they didnt have Baz be the last opening act. It made zero sense to me and the guy next to us said he was awesome.

Found this about Eagles of Death Metal:

EAGLES OF DEATH METAL appear to have been removed from the GUNS N' ROSES tour after only one show due to an overwhelmingly poor reception the band got from the GN'R audience during EAGLES' tour opener. According to several fans who attended last night's (Nov. 24) GUNS N' ROSES concert at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio (also featuring SEBASTIAN BACH and SUICIDE GIRLS), people were booing throughout EAGLES' hour-long set, with some of the GN'R fans calling the group's performance "horrid at best" and describing the band's music as "pretty fucking lame," with a repertoire of songs that sound "almost the same." GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose apparently agreed with his fans, because a few songs into GNR's set he reportedly said something to the effect of, "So how'd you like THE PIGEONS OF SHIT METAL? Don't worry, that's the last show they're playing with us."
