I was at my local bestbuy today picking up a few blu-rays and i was walking back through the music isle looking for my wife and i saw two vinyl copies of CD for a $1.99!! I was almost embarrassed to show my wife the two copies b/c she knows how much i love the record. Very said considering right next to CD [vinyl] were UYI 2 and AFD both on vinyl at there regular prices! I feel sad for Axl. This record is so good and worth so much more.

I so want to believe that is the final date after all these years. Do you fellow board members feel that the 25 of Nov will come and we will see C.D? Axl's manager dude said the 25, so is that final? Lets all hope.

is there any info about this supposed album though? style and direction that this cd/record was going in!

there is a post here right now that suggests that an album was actually finished and i was just curious about it more in depth. someone said that the original line up had fully finished an album, like it was done but then they broke up. how true is that statement and if it is true do you think that we would ever get it? a leak, a demo? maybe when axl passes away? what do you think? also, what kind of direction was the beand heading in in that "unreleased" album? rock, hard rock, ballads? if this has been a subject before i appologise and please direct me to the right location on the form to get more news. thanks much!

fridayfan13 who and where do you get your info from? who in the hell do you know personally in the gnr camp that confirmed with you that a press release from universal was false? universal said they knew nothing of the album being done let alone ready to release this year. i know, it's all about this master plan that axl and merck are planning and aren't telling anyone else, including their own label. makes a lot of sense.

this is a crucial time for the gnr community who actually still believes that this album will drop this year, i'm still on the fence myself. This is a mega venue for axl to let us know what direction he is going with this thing and whether or not another year is about to be history for this record. Axl loves NY, you would think that is he were to rant and speak about this record it would be there. i hope he says something very promising and reassures us fans that indeed it will be out this year. i hope before Nov. 24, becuase i got Club seats for the show in cleveland. can't wait!!!

and we can actually buy this album. i think i am at the point now that this record could suck some serious ass and i would still love it. it would be new, not AFD. i am not saying that CD will suck by any means or, that AFD is bad by any means. just wanting something new. i don't know about you but, i may be going to FYE on the 21 and hoping for the best...

there must be some amazing tracks on this record for everyone to keep saying "mind blowing", "earth shattering", "awsome", "incredible". i mean what we have heard has all been good and all, but do any of the songs thus far really match these type of phrases? what do you think?

as a wedding gift my wife got me tix to the clevend show on the 24. i'm from ny, so not that bad of drive. my wifes best friend lives in clevend and is an attorney. her law firm gets season tix to the quicken loans arena with discount. what is sweet is that these tix are for club seats. now the real cool thing was the price that he paid. the price that she paid for two club seat tix was only $103. that is sweet as hell, my first show to see the gunners, and i get club seats and only for $103. what do you guys think about that? oh, yeah what kind of merch. could i expect to see?

i have to say that i am still on the fence. i want to believe it will be released this year. i guess if you have enough money and are willing to fork it out and pay off the right people to keep something secret until a tuesday were to come around, i guess it may be possible. i think that has to be the only real way that axl and com. could keep this under raps until the CD is shipped to the stores to sell. if giving the right amount money i assume anyone can keep a secret right? with this in mind (maybe), do you think we could get this thing this year still?

Lord, as i walk through the valley of really shitty music in the best buys and the fye's, the noise pollution from the brook hogans and the black eyed pees drop me to my knees. I begin to cry when i here great songs like Catcher In The Rhye not being released to the masses. Lord, please stop the mass of crap being released by bands like Velvet Revolver and all crap that is rap. Now that Nu Metal has over stayed its welcome, and grunge is dead, please bring back real rock that knocks you off your block. Thank you lord for destroying certain acts like Bizkit - fred is limp, and VR appears to be buried within itself. Lord, i sit here and i ask, please bring some Democracy to the music world. Lord please allow the one man that can truley bring back Pure rock back into the public view get off his ass and release this "Hope Dimand" of a record and save rock as we know. Lord please allow Chinese Democracy evolve in 2006.

i know, i know its stupid and all, i thought it would have been funnier and perhaps rhyme a liitle more, but oh well. ii thought it would be funny to think about, and who knows, if we did we may get it..

-Merck has said repeatedly it will be out this year. 8 more Tuesday's?

-There's a new official website... radio stations are promoting the concerts, as is the webstie. No promotion?

-Poor ticket sales? Do you have any figures? From every account I've heard, these venues have been pretty full. Certainly on par with any other band out there today.

So, instead of thinking about 2007, how bout you shut the fuck up and wait until the after the last Tuesday in 2006 before trying to get some attention.

Ok, ok. The VMA's. Axl was asked if the album would be out this year. his answer was yes. Then when asked when it would be out, did he answer that question? SoMe time this fall, yadayadayada.

i have read in a lot of places that tixs sales are to be desired. you say they are on par with other bands out there. this is gnr, they used to set the bar.

i love being a gnr fan. axl is the greatest vocalist i have ever heard, it is just a shame that we can't hear much new stuff from a new album that just doesn't look to be coming out this year, that is all that i said.

Well, tomorrow is halloween and nothing. axl doesn't even talk about this thing yet, it's like a dirty little secret that he intends to hold onto for yet another year. So, with no talk, no publicity, poor tix sales, no single, new drummer yet we still kind of have the old one, everyone dodges specifics in regards "it will be out this year" or only so many tuesdays left. This year simply looks to be out of question if you really look at the situation at hand. So let's start making guesses for 2007. Here is how it will start off. Jan. of course. Follow this by early Spring. Follow that by This Summer. Follow that by this Fall, and then, well it will be out before the end of 2007. Repeat this all over again for 2008 and so on..
