Axl was supposedly pressured into doing the tour in 2002, which he said he wasn't ready for. I guess it's safe to assume there are people behind the scenes who are trying to get this thing on the road as soon as possible, it's just that Axl gets the final word and he'll do whatever it takes to make sure he has control over this beast.

I still think this was Axl slapping the record label in the face for trying to force him to do something he obviously wasnt ready to do.
