Ok, half of the band is writting together now, but I believe AFD was a product of the life they had back then and cannot really be recreated these days, no matter how hard they try... It can end up being just a bland hard rock album and that would be bad.

I believe this album has to be somewhere between UYI and VR/CD to be any interesting.

Would love to hear Axl have at the Album "The Project " wrote before Scott joined the fold and Izzy co-wrote. Every one involved said it was the best Guns album since Appetite.

Before all the “I’m sexist” comments chime in, I have nothing against a female being in GN’R, but her whole shtick just rubs me the wrong way. She dances and jumps around on stage like an idiot, while providing zero sound to any of the songs being played (at least from what I can hear).

And her whole #lit attitude is everything I hate about millennials, and it certainly has no place in what I believe Guns N’ Roses to be and stand for.

Her background vocals are everywhere in the live set, especially the Chinese Democracy songs

yesterdays first 12 seconds sounds like a slight steel guitar peppered country song. KOHD, 14 years, its all there. 

I think it was an Izzy thing. That ju ju hounds record was basically southern rock. 

Zack Wylde's 1st solo band Pride and Glory is a good example of a southern rock band from that time period.

On the other hand, Duff and Slash wanted to be big at all costs... and look at what happened, drama from the get go, turned a blind eye to it, Duff got addicted to painkillers and Slash was hitting the bottle... There was no red flags yet,  he bailed long before there was any drama in the band. Those came after the 1st album and tour cycle.

Todd is excellent though.

Please,  Izzy bailed on Guns right before a stadium tour for the illusions,  bailed on VR once they decided to go with Scott,  bailed on a nitl appearance and bailed a few times on guest appearances with both guns and VR. To say he's reliable on a multi year stadium tour is just naive wishful thinking.

The problem with Izzy is he's prone to bail without a moment's notice and there's too much money on the line. 

And I don't think they think Adler could hold up for 3 hours a night given his health issues. 

They seem to be doing fine keeping everything low key without revealing what their plans are.

Terrible  vocals

She's got a great voice.  She sang the national anthem before that game as well.  Look it up on YouTube and she also sang the anthem before a Seahawks game in October.  Killed it both times.

In a word, yes.  I prefer to wait to see what they do when the tour ends.  For 20 years most people just wanted Slash and Axl to bury the hatchet and play together, now that they are, some people have been ripping them since the start for not releasing new music. 

Ugh,  Whitesnake is reissuing a mediocre album,  guns have been selling out stadiums.  I'm sure if Cloverdale could sell out more than a small club I'm sure he'd rather be doing a stadium tour than a reissue.
