I love Axl too, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna lie to myself and say "he sounds great!".

He was singing off key for half of the show. His scream still sounds as good as ever, but his singing leaves a lot to be desired.

There is no legit excuse as to why Guns isn't playing new songs. It's as simple as that.

When fans come to a guns n' roses show, they expect to hear songs like jungle, brownstone, nightrain, etc, etc. So when they start playing a song like madagascar that is a balad that got fucked in the ass by a synthesizer, yeah the energy is gonna get drained. They don't know the words AND there is no good beat or rythm to get into.

I saw VR play 5 or 6 new songs in LA and I don't remember the "energy getting drained". As a matter of fact, I remember people going fucking nuts all night long.

I think this is the last tour before "Chinese Democracy". I'm guessing Axl will use the money from this tour to help finance the promotion of "Chinese Demopcracy"... otherwise what's the point of this tour?

I know Calgary is not that big of a market but it's not small either (1 million+ population) and the show tommorow night is a sold out gig at a 20,000+ capacity arena. Thats gotta be one of the biggest crowds that Axl + friends has played to on this tour (Maybe not the biggest but definetly up there) and it wouldn't be crazy to think that something out of the ordinary might come up.

Maybe an extra song? a new song? an extended rant? some clues into the whole Chi-dem fiasco?
