I am not sure why everyone thinks Axl likes to surprise people. The past VMA performance was secret because MTV was afriad they would not show so they didn't advertise it. Axl wasn't keeping it a surprise. He ran past the line of people trying to get in for sound check so I don't think that was his idea to keep it secret.

I can't remember any other times when he surprised people. Except maybe the show at plum but that was just a spur of the moment thing.

So if he is going to present, then that is what he is going to do. No surprises.

Will there be a single out next week? Maybe. But I don't see him doing anything but what he was asked to do.

Ipods are old news, even their "new" gimmick on-screen wheel.

The Creative Zen Vision:M's blow the Ipods out of the water. Better audio (Creative is THE Sound Card company), much better video quality (not even close).

I would rather have GnR do a Creative commercial, if they HAD to do one.

If you want to show me that you're not - come up with some FACTs that demonstrate the how the audio properties are better on one versus the other. Ditto the video.

Watch the two side by side. I've used both. For me, there is no comparison. Creative makes a superior product. You'll have to look around for the specs. For video, the colors are sharper and more vibrant given the same source. Also, Creative's player plays many more formats than Apple's product.

People buy the Ipod because they are force fed the thing everywhere they go. The better, more versatile product is the Creative. Apple makes a nice product, but after using both current gen products, Creative does blow them out of the water.

Trendy does not = better technology.

Ipods are fine if you like them, do not take offense to what I am saying if you're an Apple lover. I'm not talking out of my ass, but giving you my informed opinion on a pair of items I took a long time to research.

By the way, nice Buckcherry icon. 15 is an excellent album.

Apple has like 80% market share in the portalbe music business and 70% of all online music purchases. They are king for now. Soon to add movies etc.

U2 didn't make extra money from the ipods sold. They did get the $$ from the tunes that were on the ipod. I don't really see it as selling out. As a musician you want people to hear your music. I think...

I was there and it seems more like axl messed up the lyrics? The order or something and robin was stuck. I could be wrong.

Also, he seemed to screw up I used to lover her in NY at Plumm. He shouldn't be hard on the other guys unless he is perfect.

I have also heard him screw up the intro to paradise city. Starts to early or late.

When it all comes together though, its magic.
