I really love Mercyful Fate and King Diamond stuff. I have all of King Diamond albums and three from Mercyful Fate. I saw King Diamond live this spring on their European Tour and they were really amazing. The setlist was very very strong plus they played two great Fate songs, "Come To The Sabbath" and "Evil". King had problems with his throat and there was a rumour going on that the show would be cancelled, but in the end after a torturing long intro tape the set started and as I said it was f'king great. All hail the King!

These are my 5 favorite albums of alltime.

I really like the new Maiden album, I do. But I think some of the new fans are a bit too hasty to praise it as "The Best Iron Maiden album ever", its good but not as good as the old classics from the Eighties. I for myself am a huge Maiden fan, I've seen them like 4 times live over the years, but GN'R really stole their thunder this year... I mean the fact that Chinese Democracy is said to be out this year (this time by Axl) I really wasn't that excited about the new Maiden, although Maiden is my second favorite band of alltime (number one is, oh yes GN'R). In the end its an Iron Maiden -album and I'm going to see them live this November... UP THE IRONS!

Wow, my first post here. Been reading the forum in the background for many years and finally I decided to start posting... interesting, eh... not.

For the question I have to say Slash is my favorite guitar player through out the excistense of GN'R. Izzy is also cool and it's great that he is in terms with Axl. Off the new line-up I'd propably choose Bumblefoot or Fortus.
