  1. But why haven't we heard anything from the Slash/Duff camp yet? As far as I know they'd comment all of axl's previous lawsuits within days. Or is this lawsuit as old as a few months?

because it's probably true. Right now Duff and Scott might be pissed at Slash....considering all the rumors of VR not doing well..........why is that?

somebody ever thought about the fact that Slash infact is human?? that it hurts him having to play with people that he doesn't want to play with. Have you ever thought about the solos that he made in GNR infact reflect his personality, rather then just being some robotic flashing of skills?

The way he responded to Axl's singing is one of the strongest suits to their success.

So if this is true, why would it be so weird that a man who shared the best of his years with another man one day feels like going there to talk and settle things. At the same time I understand Axl too. Things said and done hurt him just as much.

Like you say, leave the drama, and deal with it as adults should, and not a fuckn clique of blonds in highschool.

  2. Here is the song, Guilt Trip.

I took some liberties with it..added more guitar, as well as an intro and outro.

At this stage I still have to up the vocals in the mix a bit, maybe add some backup vox, maybe stick a chorus in the end.

    Anyway..here's the link:

    Lyrics:

    Guilt Trip

Said so much when you just glared

I looked away, but felt your stare

    Burning me from inside out

Your guilt trip's over, it's over now

    Pain undone, yet done somehow

I still get shivers up my spine

I can feel you around me here sometimes

    Pleasure's, pain and sorrows time

If I'd let you stay would you still be here

If I'd come down fine would you've still bared

Your soul to me and all you feared

Your guilt trip's over, it's over now

    Pain undone, yet done somehow

No time's enough, not enough time

No fault of yours, no fault of mine.

what are you trying to say??

I don't get the lyrics, excuse my stupidity

  3. Get a Martin acoustic.

    that's not always the case...

depends on what you want, sound, style and what not.....

Martins are good sounding, haven't played them too much.

They are just very universal sounding, have an industry standard accoustic sound which is pretty fuckn amazing and solid.

Guild's are very good, IMO prolly the best accoustics around.

They sound sharper and don't have the boomy sound as some Martins and Gibsons do.

I have a Gibson Hummingbird, and to my style it sounds fantastic. With Elexir strings I get a very cool treble that sounds amazing, and sounds cool when tracked right.

Sometimes it can be a little too boomy, but the fretboard and the overall work is pure Gibson.

High-Quality. With Earthwood strings you can achieve a somewhat kinda Martin sound.

    Not as "crisp" though.

The next guitar I'm gonna get is a Guild... Just because of the sound..

Epiphone Hummingbirds are cheap, the gibson hummingbird is about 2k USD.

  4. Wow... some people need to chill out.

I just want to know what the time was between hearing the UYI demos and the release of UYI.

P.S.-If the sound quality and instrumentation of these tracks are the same on these demos as on CD, I'll eat my hat.

    Does someone know the answer?

I do, IT IS NOT!!! that is NOT proper tracking quality...!!

  5. These aren't demo's....

Man there's gonna be disappointment around here..

Okay so theyre gunna release these shitty ass versions of songs, dude you're off your fucking rocker.

I agree, and mixing and tracking are two fucking things.

the TRACKING of these songs pretty much suck, part from Axl's vocals. which are pretty much up to par.

the guitars are good as they are played, but the SOUND QUALITY isn't very good. unless they did this on purpose. But like some other guy mentioned are they gonna release this with a drum-machine and just mixing.

Well, I think there's alot of disturbing sounds and other stuff that sound like jibberish since there'snt a higher quality of each track.

Meaning you're gonna feel everything is mudded and just floating all over the place.

The mix ofcourse will seperate this and make it sound "right" and tight.

But at the end of the day it can only be so good with tracking that sucks...

like the demo of the garden, the tracking was HORRIBLE, so damn horrible that it didn't even sound like a proper song... axl did pretty ok on the vox, but still... come on guys!!

you're not gonna believe this shit about releasing these songs as they are? just with a mix???

haha, well, I can tell you one thing then, you're in for a riiiiiiide.... :)

the CD demos sound WAY more complex than any of the UYI demos as they were pretty much just a bunch of ppl with instruments, now there's alot of programming and stuff... E.G the garden

  6. if u can record vocals, that would be great!!! send it to us ASAP, im excited to hear it!!!!!

i recorded the song a few days after Better blew me off my chair!

live guitars, live bass, synth samples, programmed drums.....

used Sony Vegas for live recordings

used Sony Acid for all sample work, including the speech clips....

im glad u guys like the song!

not to sound harsh on you bro, it indeed sounds like RHCP.

it's just the twang and the sound to it, same chord-progressions and an incredibly overused and boring chorus.

there's a nice tone to the verse, but it's rhcp.

As for the vocals posted, you guys can't be serious about it....? for real??

and for the speech bullshit... get over it, sounds like a dude tryin to hard...

  7. I guess he spent his time right, educating his reckless mind.

afterall he was trailertrash, I'm not saying he wasn't or isn't smart.

But I honestly he educated himself and life taught him a lesson or two.

You are damn right about scope of things. He is actually talking now! :)

  8. Ok I'll keep this short and to the point. I think Axl has chosen the right guys at the right time to make his masterpiece. From the new demos you can hear what they bring to this new era of Guns N' Roses. As the new band it is clear that they have something great going on and I cannot wait to hear Chinese Democracy. The current members deserve a lot of credit for the amount of work they put into this and let's hope they get it!

    Any thoughts?

    I don't feel buckets stuff
