  1. This tour is slowly but surely making me sick to be honest.....

The UK and Europe last year, Australia, NZ and God knows where else this year...... but still no word on the album....

It's becoming nothing short of a cash-grab by a bunch of musicians who have done nothing off their own back yet.....

I don't want to moan coz I'm a huge fan, but it's becoming pathetic. The band were playing this setlist in 6 YEARS ago.......

    LA

    cry me a river

yeah have a cry you sissy boy. Its great for all the fans in New Zealand.

I think everyone is delighted for the fans down under in Australia and New Zealand.

The problem is that it should have been done as part of the last world tour, rather than leaving this band having done nothing but tour from 2001-2007, without releasing a record.

    Have an awesome show though!

Heres to hoping that we see a Chinese Democracy album tour after the dates this summer are over.

  2. Another show has just been announced for the New Zealand leg of the GUNS N' ROSES "Chinese Democracy World Tour".

The New Zealand tour will be extended from two Auckland shows to include another in Christchurch. The third and final show will be in Christchurch on Tuesday, July 3 at the Westpac Arena.

Australian promoter Paul Dainty said: "The response from New Zealand fans has been exceptional and we want to give them the opportunity to witness one of the biggest bands in the world for the first time ever in Christchurch.

"GUNS N' ROSES have not toured New Zealand since 1993 and have never played Christchurch so we expect tickets for the final show will sell out fast."

Tickets for the Christchurch show go on sale on Tuesday, June 5 through Ticketek.

GUNS N' ROSES New Zealand tour dates:

June 29 - Vector Arena, Auckland

June 30 - Vector Arena, Auckland

July 03 - Westpac Arena, Christchurch

Longtime GUNS N' ROSES associate Del James revealed in a February 2007 online posting that the group's new album, "Chinese Democracy", was in the "mixing" stage.

GUNS N' ROSES' "Greatest Hits" collection, which was originally issued in March of 2004, was certified triple-platinum on April 11, 2006 by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for shipments in excess of three million copies. The CD sold 8,000 copies in the United States last week alone (week ending May 13), bringing the total number of copies sold since its release to 3.58 million, according to Nielsen SoundScan

  3. ... Lol, Iron Maiden piss all over 'Guns N Roses'. GNR are a joke- Maiden have earnt themselves legendary status with 14 albums, and arent scared of failure.

Say what you like, Maiden deserve far more praise for consistently owning the metal industry, as opposed to just 3 albums of oirignal material for Guns (excluding Lies).

If that's how you feel, why are you here?

Perhaps you haven't noticed yet - but we don't allow cupcakes here.

so we're not allowed on here if GNR aint our FAVOURITE band? maiden do piss on GNR.

i love em both but time to face reality. if maiden had been away for 15 years and come back theyd be bigger. theyre the quintessential english metal band of all time. its iron blooy maiden

Yeah thats all im saying- theres no big deal if GNR aren't ur fave band. Glad some other poeple realise too:)

    Both have awesome songs.

Woah- just hold on a second.

Just because im here doesnt mean i have to think GNR are perfect.

I feel Iron Maiden are in a different league.

I also still think GNR are ace.

    For me,thats no problem...

    For you obviously it is?

    I'm open minded with music.

  5. ask him how many albums maiden has sold (50 millions) then say how many GN'R as sold (90 millions) :D

  6. Goodbye Chinese Democracy

See you in the fall. At the earliest.

Complete FUCKING JOKE Axl and you lying bunch of fuckwits.

Announce a date and put these fucking die hard fans out their misery. See you in a few months guys.

Get a life you selfish prick!

    GNR BABY! WOOHOO!!!!

High Voltage....i generally apologise. I respect the fact that you guys are despreate to see GNR. And im honestly pleased.

This tour should have been done last year though, and the lying bandmembers annoy me.

But you know, have an awesome show. You deserve to see them after such a wait, so have a fucking good gig dude:)

And any other Aussies down there:)

Doesn't excuse this band from being a joke though.

  8. Yea pretty low quality but Axl's voice does seem to radiate loundly and powerfully. After hearing the demos, I think we will all be actually surprised at how good the vocals sound after mixing/mastering.

Yeah the sooner they get the album out the better.

The leaks have all been excellent in their own ways- its a very diverse album, yest very modern.

As Tommy Stinson said back in 2004 "This album has definitely got some chances on it" in terms of the successes of potential songs.

CANNOT WAIT to see what else these guys have created, will be great to hear.

  9. Well...here is the clip that was posted a while ago....

its a cell phone recording of The Blues playing from the Geffen building.

You get to hear a solo, and the last few seconds of Axl singing.

It's pretty inconclusive and will NOT ruin anyones wait for the song, because its not good enough quality.

Axl's voice does sem a little more raspier at the end, like the Madagascar and CD leaks...so who knows?

Heres the clip....its only like 20 seconds long, its not the sound quality of the studio, and therefore we shouldn't be afraid to listen.

    See what you think....

  10. Man, not another thread about someone being 'worried'.

I mean its not like people have had their doubts over the last 10 years is it? :P

Axl has given you a statement saying March 6th is provisional, and you're still worrying, just because he hasn't updatewd us. This is the problem with fan boards, just because they don't get any re-assurance for a week or 2 they all go mental.

Just see what happens guys, relax.

Its just another album at the end of the day.

  11. Means nothing. Just like every other pre-order that has gone up on various sites.

Yep. But its around now until next week that the album is expected to have been handed in, right?

If you follow the 'roughly 8 weeks to hit the stores after being handed in' notion given by Axl...

So it might be that the record label have the album and have given the green light for pre-order.

Just gotta wait and see now

  12. Ah dear, the GNR board descend into panic yet again, despite confirmation from Axl Rose, the main man behind everything, that the album needs only 'minor additions' and barring any new problems will be out 'March 6th 2006'.

Why do you always dwell on the negatives.

The oficial news is that it should be march 2006, and thats that.

All you can do is wait now.

  13. He's true with some of the stuff but over exaggerates the issues like buckethead and the psychic stuff to take the piss.

Its inaccurate abiout the TWAT video, which was simply the one created on gunsnroses.us and hence NOT the offical site. the man is completely inaccurate.

then says Rose has set a firm March 6th date. Errm, no, its by no means firm, Axl said.

    what a load of shit.

  14. Axl looks amazing in that eyeliner! totally spruces up his image!! and also adds to the 'rock star' image.

Okay the naive people on here will automatically say 'emo', but just because emo's wear eyeliner doesn't mean anyone else who does is an emo.

Those pics are ace. Good signs again that he's ready top get in magazines for chinese democracy :)

  15. Hmm - Bob Rock, or Rick Rubin?

    Those are producers not managers.

Exactly, the last thing you want is a producer, because they could suggest other ways of doing things on the album. And that would be deja vu, don't we all agree? hehe

The GNR manager simply has to be someone who doesn't interfere with production of future albums and recordings, and someone who simply does things with a clear plan involving Axl and the other members.

Their job should be simple. Agree with the band when to promote a record, when to book tour dates, and agree on a feasible release date ~(although we do currently have a sensible one set for this album)

  16. I said this in another post but...

Its crossing my mind now that....

GNR could pull off the impossible and have a midnight release on Dec 31st to celebrate a happy new year. Also, it wouldnt break his promise. It would take the piss very badly but still!!

Imagine the buzz. there would be euphoria, and GNR would come hurtling into 2007 with a huge bang.

January 1st is a Monday, so its very plausible for a UK release, and surely a record store would love a GNR record to be the first big release of the year, so surely a US release wouldnt be impossible, but even a day late wouldnt be bad, because the news of the UK release would kick things off for GNR.

I guess its a little unlikely, but it would be the coolest thing ever, an amazing marketing ploy, and wouldnt break promises.

It would really makea perfect start to my year!!
