Very cool...plus, any time Cantrell is involved I'm down. His solo albums are great.

Naw, there was a lengthy discussion about that when the album came out. Some people were surprised at such an obvious cut & paste, others arguing it was intentional.
Right, I definitely remember that....either way, it's not a song I'm in a big rush to listen to.
-
The songs don't sound finished.What?
Scraped.
What would finish it off for you?
Nothing in terms of actual songwriting. It's just the production - blips between vocals - sounds very cut and paste. I certainly hope it wasn't intentional, because it doesn't sound very good.
If I'm the only one that noticed it, I'll just sit down over there....

I still dont get it.
It takes some time to get used to but once you get the hang of it, it's incredibly addictive.
There are times I wish there was upvoting and downvoting on this forum, haha.

Hopefully he reschedules, AMA's are great.
The Ethan Hawke AMA going on right now is awesome. Link for the lazy: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1fq1h6/i_am_ethan_hawke_amaa/

Though I am skeptical about anything happening, it is also strange to announce on Facebook about an hour-long maintenance outage.....But I suppose they haven't had much to announce lately. Might as well stay positive about it though right?

That's awesome. Seeing him rock out with his band on the 24/7 documentary made me like him even more, and i'm not even a Rangers fan!

Roadies generally don't give blow jobs Saltzie, I think you mean groupies? Roadies are the knuckledragging apes that set up the stage, amps, sound equipment etc
Not to get off topic, but the road crew are the guys/girls that make every show happen...and often the most under-appreciated people of the industry.

Absolutely agree. Not only is he a music guy, but knows how to ask good questions to ignite conversations.
His interview with Billy Corgan was great: http://www.cbc.ca/q/uncut/

Maiden tonight!! (Toronto) - wearing my GnR fan club shirt...we'll see if anyone can pick me out of the pit....
Osheaga Festival (Montreal) from Aug 3-5, should be awesome and chock full of inappropriate behavior.
Wish I could make the Gaslight Anthem show in Toronto but that sold out loooong ago.

Who the fuck is Madison?
Lol
"Lol" is right...I've been here long enough to cringe whenever this story has to be re-hashed for newer members. What a shitshow, haha.

Have any Canadians received their orders yet? My order says it's fulfilled, so the waiting game is on.
Got mine yesterday (Toronto) with the AFD shirt. Hoping the new one doesn't take too long...Looking forward to wearing it to the Maiden show at the Amphitheatre.
That's awesome. I'm not far from you, so I'd like to think mine will arrive shortly.
Hopefully "soon" is the word this time....

damn, you're quick.

I'll admit I'm a bit disappointed we won't be seeing him up there, but I'm not shocked about how this turned out. Luckily the world will keep turning.
Let's move on.

^^I'd love that. Same set list and all...
As long as it's not on March 23rd (Slash concert in TO)
Watch them be at the Sound Academy or Massey, March 23
That would be tough...got my Slash tickets in the mail last week! Any other day would be amazing - just our luck though...
-
Just got back from the bar and loving the confusion going on....feels like old times!
-
I don't visit the board for two days and this happens. Whammy.
Funny that the sound at the Sound Academy is actually not great. A show at Massey Hall would be amazing. Fingers crossed something sweet is still in the works.

I think they are going on tour just to avoid the RNRHOF.
Exactly.
this. pretty hard to get to Cleveland if you're touring the UK...
-
I'm hoping to be at the venue around 8pm. Maybe grab a few drinks but then the whole piss situation comes into play...
For real. I think Guns shows are the only ones I don't get drunk at, haha. Floor position is too precious to give up.

Any news on the opener for this show? I haven't heard a thing yet.
Also, when are doors? I've gotta jet out of work early and catch the train from Union...I can't f'n wait for this show.
The Pretty Reckless (Taylor Momsen) are opening. As for the doors, I'm not sure, but I'll be hanging out early.
Cool, thanks. I'll be down there as soon as I can, hopefully it doesn't take too long to get to Copps.

You see, I'd go but would rather do a Toronto show. But if that ain't announced then I'd lose out on the GA tickets for this show :S
Maybe I'll do both!
I can't imagine with the number of dates in the US they'd skip Toronto. They might even play London as well w/ this tour, then go up to Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City. Exciting nonetheless!

Secured my tickets, excited to swing down from Toronto with a few buddies. Also a pretty sweet way to start my bachelor party weekend!
