  1. jarmo's a cock sucker, axl's got him on a short leash, and if thats how axl likes his mates, well fuck axl.

To be fair he's always been a staunch supporter of the new band, it's only latterly he's been acting like Merck's bitch. There must be some great reward in it for him, like Axl's No.1 Chump, but as others have said the answer is not to go there.

  2. Is Jarmo just trying to get backstage access to Axl next time the band hits Sweden or is he simply operating a new Stalinist policy?. The new songs are hardly that big news and if anything a little disappointing, no 'Civil War' or 'Don't Cry'. Let's hope that list isn't all the band can play.

  3. It's quite possible the album wont come out this year. How many times in the past have statements been made about the release date (particularly by Doug Goldstein in 99/00/01) and never retracted?. This time more of the songs are in the public domain and it seems fairly clear someone bottled releasing 'Better' as a single at this point hence the pulled advert. It's not hard to believe that Axl still can't quite let go of his baby.

  4. I can only comment on the UYI tour from old Guns and his voice was inconsistent at that time too. The difference is judging from some of the boots from 02 and now RIO that Axl has to sing so quietly at times that he's almost not there. I can't remember the specific gig but when he was singing the Blues there was no power in his voice at all. It's a shame but I think it is down to the way he sings being not conducive to consistent performance and this results in vocal problems.

The power seemed to be back at the Hammerstein shows but it looks like the 02 voice is coming back now.

  5. I know Bumblefoot took Bucketheads place as the lead player, but at the May 15th show it didnt seem that way at all. Robin was doing most of the solos, and Axl generally was around him more the whole show. just an observation.

THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WILL SAY THIS. BUCKETHEAD WAS NOT THE LEAD GUITARIST. ROBIN FINCK WAS THE LEAD GUITARIST, ROBIN FINCK PLAYED THE MAJORITY OF THE SOLOS IN 02, BUCKET STOOD THERE AND OCCASIONALLY PLAYED A RIFF OR A SOLO. ROBIN FINCK WAS THE LEAD GUITARIST AND IS THE LEAD GUITARIST.

I'm surprised your not living with the guy, you have such a bone for him.

  6. I'd like to hear CD but most fans of GNR want to see at least some configuration of the original band together again and I think Axl is slowly realising this. Whether he can mend fences with Slash is another question though.

  7. It will be interesting to see if Duff hangs around 'Download' after playing with AIC to check Axl's band. It's really Slash and Duff who are still to reconnect with Axl what with the lawsuits and everything. Plus Duff is the only one who hasn't spoken to Axl in years if you believe the Slash turning up at Axl's story which I don't. Duff is also really easygoing and I could see him and Axl being friends again.

  8. Anyone wanna hook me up a pm as i havnt been emailed yet? pretty please

T1ck3t 5cAlP3Rrrrrrr!!! I can spot 'em a mile off! :book:

    :xmasssanta:

I would think someone with 2899 posts is not a scalper. I'm really pissed I missed the presale as I've been a fan since the AFD days and can't get to Download but I respect the rules and they are for the benefit of letting as many genuine fans in as possible.

  9. You would think Tommy would be busy rehearsing all of the GNR songs for a tour with GNR, not rehearsing for a tour with Soul Asylum.

    Good point.

Tommy seems like a decent guy, perhaps he's had enough of Axl's procrastination. Didn't he say he didn't like GNR much anyway before he joined them, maybe he prefers to play with Soul Asylum and the Mats?.
