  1. Be aware if you're going to Manchester that a lot of trains go into Piccadilly, while the Arena is at Victoria, and it's a bit of a walk. It'll be no problem getting there, as you can take the Metrolink, but there's a possiblity it wouldn't be running when the gig finishes. Don't remember if it finishes early on a Sunday or not.

I think National Express do some overnight coaches from Chorlton Street, and you might also want to look at the Megabus if you really want to do it cheap. There are some hostels near the university you could stay at in Manchester, but again, that's a bit of a walk from the MEN Arena.

In terms of hotels, Expedia (http://www.expedia.co.uk) has the Imperial near the University for £30 a night that night, which isn't going to break the bank, just a case of getting to there from the arena...

Cool man, thanks for the help. I just seriously need to get this done quick.

I'm not too bothered about the walk.

And megabus...I think the only ones from cardiff to to london.

  2. Well, I am from Cardiff and I was thinking of going to one GnR show, Birmingham or Manchester probably. I'd rather Birmy.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there will be a special coach service especially for the gig, because I'd rather leave to go home after the concert. And coaches on national express etc seem to have their last coach at 11ish. Same with trains.

And if I had to stay overnight does anyone know of any good/cheap hotels or travel lodges near the arena?

I've done some searching on google, but I am now seriously running low on time.

    Thanks very much.

  3. Oh for gods sake, they can't be opening!

Anyone see what they said about the Rob Zombie tour? Here it is... Someone mentioned it above, check the article.

Guitarist/vocalist Matthew "Matt" Tuck of the Welsh metalcore act BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE — who are currently on the road in North America as the opening act on a three-band package also featuring LACUNA COIL and headliners ROB ZOMBIE — has posted the following message on his group's official message board (where he posts under the name "Mattie") (comment in question was posted on the BFMV message board today, April 6, 2006 at 4:34 p.m. U.K. time):

"Yo, check it. We get just 30 minutes on this ZOMBIE tour, that's it!!! So there's not a lot of time to f**k around. Apologies for not playing all these [songs], but shit, man, you can't please all the people all the time. Next time, bro. As for the merchandise, ZOMBIE makes us price match him so, yup, it's f**kin $40 for a t-shirt, which is insane, I know. Greedy money-grabbing f**ks. We're only allowed two pieces of merch, too, which sucks ass. Unfortunately, being first on on a tour like this sucks, but it's gotta be done. As I write this, I'm sitting on the f**kin' floor of the venue 'coz we don't have a dressing room again, 'coz f**kin Zombie takes them all for him, his band and crew. Basically, we are shit to him, but f**k it — if this is what it takes to get a name over here, then it's gotta be done. I'm not one to f**k around with words, so yes, we are not being treated well on this tour. Oh yeah, we don't get a soundcheck either. f**kin' pissed at this tour, man."

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's debut album, "The Poison", has sold 36,000 copies in the United States since its February 14, 2006 release. ROB ZOMBIE's latest effort, "Educated Horses", registered a first-week tally of 107,000 to debut at No. 5 on next week's The Billboard 200 chart. LACUNA COIL's 2002 album, "Comalies", has sold more than 230,000 copies in the United States, while its newly issued follow-up, "Karmacode", is expected to shift between 30,000 and 40,000 copies in its first week of release.

Guitarist/vocalist Matthew "Matt" Tuck of the Welsh metalcore act BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE — who are currently on the road in North America as the opening act on a three-band package also featuring LACUNA COIL and headliners ROB ZOMBIE — has issued an apology to ROB ZOMBIE and his crew for the scathingly negative comments he made earlier today about the tour and Zombie himself. Writing once again to the official BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE message board, Tuck said in his latest posting, "A sincere apology from Matt and BULLET to ROB ZOMBIE band and crew. . . I was really out of it this morning and let shit on the road f**k with my hungover head. I'm truly sorry if any of my comments about this tour were out of line and totally exaggerated. This is our first real tour in the States and with lots of personal shit happening to me from home I just lost it. We really have been totally f**kin' thrilled to have the chance to play on this tour and are grateful for every new fan we make. It means everything to us to be able to play our shit for new fans. I'm really sorry to have offended anyone and look forward to putting this behind and getting back to the metal."
