Actually, I do like Iron Maiden. They are my favorite band along with GnR and Metallica. But I must say that their visuals and their artwork is juvenile. 'Eddie the Head' is cool when you're 12 years old, but Maiden's music is too sophisticated and deep to be reduced to a comic book zombie.

I don't play anymore, but only because I don't own it anymore. I never replaced it when I got rid of my vinyl collection. But I do remember that being a pretty damn good album...much better than their debut. Too bad they broke up. Is the new singer any good?

For that matter I've got a ton of CD's I don't think I ever read the booklet for.

I too have many CDs whose liner notes I've never read. But if I had a question about a song on one those CDs, the first thing I would do (after Wikipedia) would be to check the liner notes. Unless I didn't have the liner notes because I'd downloaded the CD off the internet or burned it from a friend.

I don't know anything about marketing or music promotion, but I would think this would be a terrible day to release an album.
