No.  It was a trivia contest he had between 2 previously selected guys in studio.

Howard Stern is giving away tickets right now.

It seems like, depending on the preassigned seating, maybe checkin times are different to try and streamline it.  That way, not everyone is getting there at the same time.

Still wondering where the info on the opening act was heard...

The second email Sirius sent, to confirm if you were still attending, had all the times.

We ask that everyone is seated in the theater no later than 8:30 pm because this event will be broadcast LIVE on SiriusXM. There will be no admission after the doors have closed. Please be sure you arrive at the theater during the designated check-in time (7:00 pm – 8:00 pm) to ensure an on-time entry into the theater, or your tickets will be voided.

If there is now an opening band, it may be even shorter than a normal show, since the 3.5 allotted hours will now have to be shared.

Where are you getting this info on timing and opening act?

I was lucky enough to score tickets to this event, and haven't heard any of this.  All Sirius has communicated were the check in times, and start and approx. end times for the event - 9:00 - 12:30.  Must check in by 8, and be seated by 8:30.

I do see that The Kills will be in Brooklyn the next night.
