  1. I was at the New York Rangers hockey game last night at Madison Square Garden......they lost 3-2 in overtime but thats besides the point.....ok...during a stoppage in play they did a trivia thing where they say ,......this song came out in the year that this rangers player scored his first goal or something...and the song was Sweet Child O' Mine.

Of course i knew it was 1988 and i got it right !!!!! and they showed the AFD cover on the bigscreen and stuff.

Then later in the game....they played theoutro to november rain and i was singing and making a fool of myself......then befor it went into overtime...they played WTTJ to get everyone pumped up...of course...every1 knows this song

Nothing big....just thought it was cool that they played a lot of GNR stuff for one game

  2. Do you think CD will have an intro track with axl and the band saying sorry that it took so long or introducing the members of the band so people know or something like that?

    idk just asking a question

  3. dissapear again

    Gee...I'm wounded rofl

I really do understand the reaction. At one point mine would have been exactly the same.

At this point however I have no need to defend my attitude or my musical tastes.

And yeah...I likely will disappear again....from sheer like of interest...and therein lies the problem.

    if you dont care...then leave

  4. Does anyone else feel that the old band performances sounded really empty and not powerful....listen to live era..some of the parts that should be powerful and energetic were pretty empty with only 2 guitarists. I think 3 guitarists make them sound so much fuller and more kick ass....06 MSG absolutely killed 02 MSG and there is nothing that Kaneda can say to change that....BUckethead was a circus act....and finck looked like a freak...the first time i heard buckethead was in GNR is said to myself "axl what r u doing????!!!"...but now this is the best gnr has ever sounded (except for sound issues with axl's microphone) IMO

    and kaneda...fuck off

  5. oh man...just got up

Ok....i saw GNR at Hammerstein Ballroom on May 17th, and this MSG show blew that away. It was unbelievebale.

The thing that makes the show for me is just when axl screams "do you know where the fuck you are" and then just struts out onto the stage. WTTJ is sucha great opener and had great energy. They did'nt even pause before starting ISE and the same with Mr.B. ......LALD was great...the crowd was almoust drowning Axl out cause i cold hear that almost everyone in MSG was singing their hearts out. SCOM was great although there may have been some sound problems through it. (i dont know why someone on the sound crew does'nt hear that AXL's mic is too low and turn it up). i think then they did KOHD which was great and when the crowd sung it was awesome.

Axl really seemed to be enjoying the show. The first time he said anything was after LALD i think or after Brownstone i dont remember....but he said "nice to see you again new york"...and every1 went nuts.

I think then he went to the new songs which were The Blues and then Better. He played the Blues later.

He played YCBM sometime in the middle and that had alot of energy.

Then came November Rain which was amazing....lighters everywhere and axl sounded great. THe hwole place was singing along.

Then came Patience around there somewhere and that was great with the sing along of the crowd.

Idk exactly when it was but then Ron Thal did his amazing Don't Cry solo.....which was incredible...people thought they were actually gonna play the real song with the whole band singing...but then he motioned to sing and the place sung .....LOUD

I may be skipping some songs but then they played Nightrain and that had soooo much energy and they sounded great. (i think nightrain is the best song they play live)

He said good night.,..and they went off

A few minutes and then CD came on....which is a great live song (IMO)

...but we were all waiting for Paraidse City which was insane and had the entire place going absolutely bannana's...it was great...confetti....sparks...awesome.

what a great show.....he came on with the whole band to say goodnight and he said something like " We hope to come back to see you the fuck again"

i can't wait till they come back to NY it was great.

****for the people wanting to know....it was SOLD OUT****

  6. WOW is all i can say....im gonna give a short review now and more tmrw....

WOW again....what an amazing show....axl looked great....lost weight...onstage attitude was amazing

Bach and Papa Roach were pretty good....roach got off at about 10:20...gnr got on at about 11:15

the crowd was nuts when robin hit the first notes of WTTJ

the energy was there pretty much the whole night except in the middle of the show when they played most of the new songs

    november rainw as amazing...evryone singing

couldnt hear axl for some stuff.....it was just cause we were singing so fukin loud!!

    dont cry solo was great

WOW...Dizzy fuckin Reed ...the best piano solo i've ever heard

frank had alot of energy on drums the whole night

    Encore:

Chinese Democracy was great..and had pretty good energy

Paradice City was nuts.....as it goes...after the whistle all hell broke loose!!!!

more in the morning im sooooo tired...offf to bed
