Probably the most solid PPV of the year so far, with the exception of whatever they were doing with Bray Wyatt. They could benefit from shortening these PPVs again to 2h30 and giving each match a bit longer.

I feel exactly as I thought I would, it's fun and visually impressive but I'd never buy it because I know I'll never put the time into it. The nature of the fanboy resentment of any other shooter compared to Battlefield somewhat sours it for me as well.

I don't know why everyone's so surprised, there are many bad things about The Miz but his mic skills have never been one of them. He's one of the best traditional heels they've got.

Because it would've gone through writers and it would've sucked. There's a reason the vast majority of promos from stuff like this and the wwe.com exclusives are considerably better than anything on TV.

Boxing here is governed on an all-island basis, just as golf, cricket, and rugby are. It's not that unusual, you get a lot of sports personalities here who don't want to be defined as one or the other.

Funnily enough I don't fancy sifting through all the videos either, there are hours of them. I think there's been some miscommunication down the line, because he explicity says that there are no towns in this demo, not that their are no towns in the game. There's lots of things you can't do in the demo that you'll be able to do in the full game, I don't understand why anyone is having a hard time to believe this. It's genuinely interesting to see how this kind'a shit spreads like wildfire around the backlog of websites though. People are taking that as fact and indicative of the whole game. If I watch the videos again I'll timestamp it for you, I think he's expressing that there are simply no towns in the Plateau area, in which the demo is set, but until then here's a quote from IGN in their interview with Aonuma:
He also wouldn't talk about towns. "I can't share too much about villages because to tell you how the villages work, they're interconnected to the story and overall world."
Now, I'd imagine you're probably right in that there aren't necessarily many towns, because I get the impression this is hugely influenced by the original LoZ. As far the no companion, apparently that was left out as well for story purposes, but that is just two sides debating each other. Based on the demo, it seems the female voice, assumed Zelda, is essentially your companion. I don't really care, if there was a companion everyone would complain about how annoying it was.

That would be a shame if true, the conference was slightly short, but very understandable and the correct decision. Rockstar tend to announce things in their own time and place anyway, so I can't say I was particularly expecting it. We'll see it very soon if true

It was confirmed there are towns/cities, but they didn't reveal anything due to story.

If you played on PC, I'm not really sure this is for you. It seems to just be a cash-in on the success of Skyrim, whilst letting people who played it on console five years ago re-experience it with mod-support. I'm certainly interested as someone who played on a small TV five years ago on an Xbox 360, but I'm not paying $60 for it either. People are complaining they didn't do Morrowind or Oblivion, but they would be so much more work than remastering Skyrim, and I'd rather they direct their focus towards VI.

I have nothing against Tajiri, but he's synonymous as being a WWE enhancement talent. I know he worked for ECW, but I can't remember the great Tajiri matches from years gone by.

Kingdom Hearts 3 wasn't mentioned, but it's expected at Playstation Experience later in the year. The Xbox One S is the slimline version of the Xbox One (similar to the Xbox 360 Elite), while Project Scorpio and Project Neo/PS4K was the higher-spec versions of the Xbox One and PS4 that are expected to be released by the end of the next year, that will support 4K Gaming and so on, but won't have exclusive games or anything.

The Wii U was a great console... as soon as you bought a Pro controller and used the gamepad as a coaster. What a horrendous launch. It's right up there, and probably above, the initial launches/reveals of PS3 and XBO for awfulness. That said, I had a lot of fun with it, there are some brilliant games on that thing, and it's actually the console that got me back into Nintendo. I'm interested in the Switch for sure, but I'm not going to rush out to get one until there are enough games that warrant it.
