Just now getting a chance to get on here and reflect on the show.  Maybe I'm biased because of the energy that GNR brings or that I haven't seen the band since Dallas 2021, but they were f'ing spectacular last night.

Axl sounded the best I've heard him-- I need to go back and watch a few youtube vids, but I don't remember much mickey at all and he was absolutely bringing it the entire night.  I don't recall him ever moving around this much or genuinely having this much fun.

The sound was awesome -- well mixed, great volume and both Slash and Richard's guitar tones were perfect, particularly when they were boosted for solos.

Setlist was amazing - Street of Dreams was a treat and definitely think Slash played it with a more fitting, composed solo than some of the noodling I've heard previously - in fact, I think a lot of his noodling was cut down in general.  For me, 9 songs out of the 30 played that I hadn't heard live yet.

I don't know how to post pics on here - so I dropped a few pics and videos into a dropbox link below - Slash cut his finger on his picking hand during PTU and you can see blood under his bridge pickup on Jessica - very rock n' roll!

    Other highlights:

Slash yelling 'Hey Fuckers' before Reckless Life was awesome... Perhaps sounded AMAZING, great song live... even songs that are more difficult for Axl [NR, SCOM, etc.] he was giving it 110% effort and they really did sound great.

Overall:  This was possibly my favorite GNR show to date - I'm incredibly grateful the band is still out there touring and pouring every ounce of effort into 3 hr + shows.  I'm very happy and humbled to have seen the band last night.

    Enjoy the pics and videos!

    Awesome, thanks for sharing!

  2. I was there, 16 years old at the time. This only tells half the story, obviously you can see they blew the roof off the citrus bowl but metallica got booed off the stage twice that night. By the time they hit the stage it was so frigging hot and the crowd was ornery as hell, then they proceeded to destroy. The reference he makes about thanking the girls that night is because between metallica and gnr just about every girl in the crowd flased the camera.

  3. It's tough to see axl like this. Caving to the pc culture and crowd  that he seems to support and belong to. I've said it before and will say it again, been to dozens of gnr shows over the years, it's deplorables like myself who support you and overwhelming attend your shows. I don't see the likes of Clinton, Obama, and Kerry there. Now that us gen xers have grown up and our in our 40s, we tend to protest with our wallets. Remember that the next time you come to town and charge hundreds of dollars for a show with the same set list you had the previous year or charge close to 200 dollars for shadow of your love. Good luck pal.

They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

That means some....If you want to dispute any of this, turn on the news. Sorry should not have used quotes.

I'm done spending any money on this band. I'm not a Trump fan or anything but I find this to be ridiculous and stupid. Sucks I waited forever for GNR to come back and then they start acting like a douchey political band. Fuck them.

Look, I'm one of the bigger GNR fans there is but I agree. Since 1985 have not heard one peep about politics from this band, now a guy who supports our borders is the one they decide to rail against. Let Pearl Jam and U2 do that.
