No, THIS thread is pointless. I think most people realize Nov 23 thru Nov 29 is the busiest shopping week of the year (the album will have a full week to accumulate sales for Nielsen ratings or whatever), and there are a few artists who originally planned to release their album on Nov 25th who have pushed their releases back.

No reason? Although I've just started posting, there seems to be some legitimacy to several others' claims. First of all, I doubted Sillentassasin for some SKU #'s of vinyl. Then, darknemus defends saying "let's not fight about stupid shit". Then he claims I'm a smart GnR fan. Then other users chime in on some bullshit he's pulled in the past. What The Fuck. Seriously. I had no problem with darknemus at first. Why would he send me a private message to make himself seem more legit to a newbie like myself, is he Sillentassassin on another pc?? I'm smelling bullshit now. I wanna believe all the positive stuff, but credibility is losing track very quickly. Can SEVERAL others confirm this supposed info on SKU's/etc? If not, please don't take stock in this and fall victim to a scam, that's my only reason for posting. Be wary and shit. People like to jump on the wagon very quickly from what I've read. Let's be sure, that's all.

And darknemus if I'm wrong, I'll disappear. Why? Because I'll be happy that CD has been released. It's just funny how all of a sudden I bring a tiny detail up of another user, it seems you defend him, and when the cards are stacked against, you become even MORE defensive. I don't have a reputation here at all, so if I'm an idiot here, nothing lost.

Darknemus has done a lot of good stuff for the GNR community. Most notably I guess when he organised the Hammerstein presales for us.

So anyone who bashes darknemus here should really be ashamed of themselves.

I'm a legit fan of the band, but I'm seeing things the past day or two that make me wonder what's real and what's legit. If no one else post skepticism, I feel a need to. Wow. Now I'm starting to doubt darknemus' info, and here I thought he was a legit good guy. If you're a real fan, why would you EVER try to make money from other fans. I'm a newbie, but I gotta call bullshit now on you now, too. WTF, man?

The SKUs are accurate, we know that much - I doubt the guy's lying about the UPC - I'd love to get the rest of those UPCs though as they're what's going to lead us to good info / details on the products.

Sorry man, I'm just as excited as most here for the album, but thought I'd point out the reversal of the SKU's last 2 digits for the vinyls he posted, it doesn't make sense. If I'm wrong for it, then cool, I'm a jackass and I apologize ahead of time. Not trying to derail the thread, but also don't want everyone to take stock in future posts from this guy if he's wrong.

I haven't posted much here, but I have a slight problem with Sillentassassin's claims. The SKU's he posted are just the same as the cd versions, except with the last 2 #'s reversed, and he said in the post he created, "oh yeah and if you want to believe me here is the sku for one of the copies" and he then posted one of the SKU's already posted by darknemus. If he was going to create a thread with new info, why not be complete and credit himself by going ahead and posting the vinyl SKU's in there? He then comes to this thread and posts the vinyl SKU's 20 min's after his thread creation after someone told him he was a little 'late'. And he's a new user. Not sure I trust his vinyl SKU's, that's all, there's something a bit fishy about this user, but maybe it's just me.

I'm not a cupcake trying to necessarily discredit Sillentassassin, but the reversed last 2 #'s just doesn't make sense to me, coupled with the lack of the info he didn't provide in his 'breakthrough of info' initial thread/post.

"that sku"?? I'm talking about the 3 vinyl SKU's in particular. If you're right, then I accept being a jackass. It doesn't make sense, though. Why didn't you include those SKU's in your original thread? Do you have UPC's for all of them? If you have info to include UPC for the first version of CD, why did you wait to post the rest of the info? It's difficult for me to believe you, that's all. It seems you'd include all you knew in your original post if you wanted to be taken seriously as having info no one else did.
