  1. I think there's a very slim possibility they may get an advanced copy of CD. Wouldn't that be intense, when i say slim possibility i wouldn't be shocked if it happened, but i'm pretty sure it won't. The only reason i think this is because apparently only 10-20 people were chosen. Sometimes when bands do that they get special treatment.

 Axl is making a living off of people like you. Why in the FUCK would he give 10-20 people an advanced copy of something that #1 doesn't exist and that #2 would almost certainly hit the internet within hours. This makes a lot of fucking sense.

  2. That's awesome. The band is really trying hard with their fans. I like to see that. I hope those who go have an awesome time. :)

Too bad Axl doesn't try harder with the fans and release the album, or play more Illusion songs. Of course, the reason there aren't many Illusion songs being played is because Slash's arrangements are too difficult for Finck to master. Too bad Axl doesn't try harder with the fans and hit the stage on time.

  3. Thank you! This is a great song- better than any of the demos we've heard from the 'New GNR' hands down (In my opinion the other demos and concert songs suck monkey balls).... Do you know who's playing on the guitars, bass and drums?

If this song is better than any of the demos you have heard, then Axl is in BIG trouble. This song sucks shit. Its a song, but you guys are acting like its the second coming of "Welcome to the Jungle". The song blows and should never be on any mass-produced rock album for any band, let alone GnR.

  4. You know what, I can't wait till this album is released, because it's going to happen fairly soon

You are basing this off of what? The fact that Axl's plugging the new album every night from the stage? Or that he's played most of the new songs on this Euro tour? Or that Axl's never promised the album in previous years, only now?

Goddamn dude, get out of that fucking dream world. Nothing is different now than it was in 2002 and before. Axl has promised us Chinese Democracy almost every year since Slash left and those years have come and gone. You know the old saying? Fool me once. Shame on you? How about fool me 8 fucking times? How about shame on my pitiful fucking brain if I let Axl lie to me 8 times! Axl has been saying for years the record was right around the corner. The fact that people actually BELIEVE HIM worries me. There are some truly stupid people in this world. You don't have to be one of them.

  5. Who said anything about gay sex you sick perv? Jeez, some people sure hae gutter minds.

Again, stop wallowing in a sea of negativity and we'll all feel better

You live the sad life. I'm so sorry. :(

  6. The problem is even if they gave you something to hold on to you wouldn't like it because Slash, your lover, wasn't involved.

You sure are fixated on gay sex. You like to talk about it a lot and speak in very vivid terms when talking about it. Once again, please, seek help.

  7. You know, Slash and co. left about 10yrs ago. you need to let go of the past and accept that GnR as a band is continuing without Slash.... You need to..

The band is NOT "continuing" without Slash. They have yet to release any new material. Its been 10 years. Is that your definition of "continuing"? Hell, they've already had ANOTHER lead guitarist COME and GO during that time. Still, no new material. Demos are not new material. They are demos. The band hasn't continued on without Slash, because they haven't done anything worth writing home about since Slash left. If you want me to let go of Slash, give me something to grab onto. What? The Oh My God single? I hope you are kidding me. All in the span of 10 years since Slash left. WOW!!! I'm so stoked about the new band!!!

I don't the truth (though then again what you call the truth is just an attempt to bash Axl and the band any opportunity you get) as an insult, but again I ask you, what is the point of coming to the ''New'' Guns N Roses sub-form if you're not even a fan of the band? I seem rather unstable? Well, at least I'm trying to enjoy this band and I choose not to wallow in sea of negativity and nostalgia unlike yourself.

Dude, you just don't get it do you?!? I came to the Guns forum and found THIS thread and posted a reply to THIS thread which was very ON-TOPIC. Just because you don't agree with my opinion, doesn't mean I can't respond to the original post. You're trying to act tough behind your little keyboard (which is another sign of instability), just because somebody posted an opinion about a rock band. You have some serious issues, bro, and I suggest you get them under control before you waste your life away.

  8. Ok well if you're not an "Axl Rose Solo Project Band" fan why are in this part of the forum? Why don't you just head on over to another little sub-forum called "Yesterdays-The Original G'NR'" and reminisce about the old times and repeatedly dicuss how much you hate Axl over there, K? Or better yet you can head over to the VR sub-forum and indulge your fantasies of erotic happenings with Slash or whatever it is you dream about him....

    Go kill yourself.

We're discussing whether or not Axl should attempt the "Sweet Sister" intro to SCOM in 2006. I'm staying on topic, you are not. I'm sorry if you take the truth about Axl as an insult, but then again, you seem rather unstable, so truth might be burdensome to you. I'll continue to post and stay on topic, but might I suggest you try to seek a counselor or some other form of professional help? I'm sure you can turn your life around. Its never too late.

  9. You're such a bright and optimistic person.

You and Kaneda would make such a cute couple...

I heard he does happen to like backdoor pleasures, which you seem to be the type to enjoy, you anal cunt.

I always laugh when Axl Rose Solo Project Band fans launch homophobic insults like the above. Axl would not appreciate your homophobia and don't get mad at me for speaking the truth. If Axl tried to sing that intro tonight, he'd blow out his fucking throat and YOU KNOW IT. Otherwise, he'd have to pull it off in a totally different sound, which would totally kill the fucking purpose of the intro anyway.

  10. axl wasnt "trying" to take over the band at that point: he already had them in his pocket. izzy was just the only one sober/levelheaded enough to see it at that time, so he bailed. must have been pretty insulting for izzy to have axl/slash trying to pay him less for being on stage, when a lot of those songs were his.

If Axl had the band in his pocket, I'm sure it would have been solely Axl trying to get Izzy to take a pay-cut. Slash was not involved in the pay-cut request. I'm sure Axl was the defacto leader of the band from the beginning, but in 1991 is when it really started spinning out of control. The others were not cool with it either, but they wanted to 'keep the fucking thing going' (Slash on BTM).

  11. Would anyone else love to hear the sail away intro to sweet child. I mean, im not complaining by any means. I could watch the same guns concert over and over every night of my life. I just think it would be cool to here that intro. When i first heard it on the Chicago '92 dvd, I loved it. So, I would just like to see it done live if possible (not that its going to happen, cuz I realize it most likely isnt).

There is no way in hell Axl should sing that intro now. The clip from the Chicago '92 DVD is a perfect example of what Axl can NO LONGER do with his voice. Check the Paris '92 show. He really nails it on that one. If he attempted something like that now, he better make it the last song in the show, because he'll have to leave the stage before the boring Finck-version of the SCOM intro even starts. He'd blow out his throat inside 2 seconds.

Oh well, at least we have DVD's to watch now. Because he'll never belt out an intro like that ever again...

  12. I always thought that Izzy left b/c he didn't want to be dictated to by Axl once the "Illusions" albums were released. Axl had the vision for the tour, band, and videos, and Izzy grew tired of it. "Behind The Music" also gave that reason.

You're right, and it probably wasn't so much Axl's "vision" for the tour, etc as it was Axl's "delivery" of his vision. Axl was trying to take over the band and of course that wouldn't sit well with anyone, regardless of whether they wanted to do arena shows or not. Ultimately, the same thing drove away Slash. Izzy could have his spot back in GnR, but he'll never do it, because he knows that would means he's a full-time employee for W. Axl Rose and that's not going to work.

  13. I gotta go with Welcome to the Jungle. The song is just fucking perfect in every sense! There aren't too many GnR songs that come off with that sound from the start to finish. Its perfect as the first song on probably the best album in rock history (some AC/DC fans may argue you).

  14. I have to agree. If the album really is this close, why not just wait a bit to start the tour after it comes out? Or at least after you release a single and announce the date of the album? It just doesn't make much sense to tour with nothing to attract casual fans to your show. The band will just be making things harder for itself.

Anyone actually disagree with that? I think it's pretty reasonable.

This is the main problem. Your asking Axl to be reasonable. I'm a big fan of the band, but at this point, I still don't get why Axl's so much better than Slash, Duff and Matt? Was it really worth breaking up the band to toil in obscurity for 13 years? You see, its not about letting go of the old band. The last album was the OLD band. We can't let go of something if there is nothing else to grab onto.

  15. Good news.

What worries me however is if the album isn't finished. They've spent the summer touring Europe, then in next to no time they'll be starting off in the US. Where is the studio time to finish the record?? My bets are on the album coming out early next year

    LA

My bets are on the album not coming out at all. This is ridiculous! First, you do a Euro tour when your fans have been dying for a new record for years upon years? Now you have this ridiculously stupid idea to tour the U.S. without an album?

I wish people would quit saying they'll release the album mid-tour or its ready to drop right now. You are basing your predictions on empty promises from W. Axl Rose. Because W. Axl Rose has promised us over and over and over again that the album is just around the corner. The history of this debacle called "Chinese Democracy" should steer any true fan of GnR towards skepticism.

Richard should be e-mailing fans saying: "we're trying to work out a US tour for the fall, but our #1 priority right now is the release of a new album. Anything else would be stalling that process and we don't want to go back out on the road before we've finished the product. Thanks for your support!!"

If GnR came to my town on a US tour, I don't even think I'd bother going. It just pisses me off that Axl has promised me so many times for a release and instead of working out the fucking album, he's going to tour my city with a Solo band playing 20 year old songs. Needless to say, I'm very pissed that they are talking about putting together a US tour. We already had a US tour in 2002. We need Chinese Democracy. Cut the bullshit, Axl!

  16. Fuck matt sorum

he's just trying to avert attention away from the current lineup by spreading his bullshit.

dude even people like myself who love gn'r no matter what realize that the new band isn't really considered a "band" by about 99% of people, you sound like an idiot when they've had like fifty different people come and go over the past ten years, i mean robin finck even left for two years, and back when buckethead was in the band you probably said he was the best guitarist too. i mean it's ok to like the band but jesus christ you got to know when to realize that apart from a few people like yourself the public recognizes the other guys as gn'r and a reunion would be a BIG deal and get more hype than vr and gnr combined right now.

Not to mention the new "GnR lineup" has yet to even release a fucking album. People are begging off a re-union when this is nothing more than an Axl Rose solo project that he hasn't even done anything with! Its one thing to do a few solo albums like Slash did, then re-unite, but Axl hasn't even made a record! He's just on a prolonged leave of absence from the real band. Even John Fogerty had a more successful solo career. Its a complete joke to blow off a re-union, when Axl hasn't even released a fucking record with the 'new band.'

  17. We don't need a reunion. If that ever happened, CD might actually get released. What we need is to keep the current GnR together so they can continue to record demos and proceed to re-dub them for a few years, replace a guitarist here and there and tour the Orient in 2008.

The only thing a reunion would cause is a successful U.S. tour and a so-called "album". Who needs that shit? Just keep covering the 20-year old tunes and put together a deal with the Chinese government so you can tour fucking China!!! If anything, let's wait until Axl is 50 before we consider any type of re-union with Slash and Duff. By then, nobody will care about hearing a new album or seeing them in the U.S., so it won't matter.

Matt should just keep his mouth shut! GnR has a good thing going! They're the only band in rock today that is succeeding by not releasing any new shit, and not touring North America. There's just so much potential there for a Chinese tour!!! Not only that, I'm sure here in a few years, we'll get to hear some of these other demos when they are leaked. Fuck the original lineup!

    ;)
