  1. Why are we comparing Metallica v Guns in attendance? Guns cannot match Metallica  this year in North America. Metallica's shows sold out like hot cakes , or just about sold out . And I get why. You get a different set list those 2 nights . That's epic ! I would love Guns to do that , but not in our life time . And just FYI, GNR is my favorite band . Yes, even over Metallica .

In the US people keep on saying prices will drop. We'll see how it goes in Europe. I think they should have tried smaller venues. Oh well.

I wonder ..... just wondering guys !! If in some venues they don't hit 10,000 , would they switch it to an arena ? Or could they? In some stadiums, it's not going well. And I don't think tickets will massively take off . I know people buy tickets closer to the date . And especially the day off, but not feeling it on this one .

  3. They way most ticket sales are doing in the US, it won't be as successful from the previous years (2016-now). And that's okay. You guys have fun and rock out ! The shows here in Texas are doing  pretty bad . Those 2 Texas shows should have been booked at an arena .

  4. I feel here in the US people went crazy the first time around in 2016. Then a couple years after . With tickets staying high, and people probably checking out YouTube , and seeing that Axl isn't what he used to be . And I'm not referring back to the 80/90's. I'm talking about 2016 to now . Quick story ..... My cousin from San Antonio texted  me , and asks, if I'm going to the GNR concert ? I told him based on how he sounds now , I don't think so. He was shocked and confused. He knows I'm a huge fan , and used to travel all North America to see them . He said if you're not going , it must not be worth it . Maybe, the word does get passed around, that Axl's voice is shot . No new music . Maybe , that is another small reason tickets are moving weak in the US.

But you have openly stated his voice isn't what it was. It is pretty much aligned with metallica and the motley crue def leppard tours, but Motley hadnt toured in 7 years, metallica have a new album and have no obvious decline at all in their show. GnR have the same show, sung worse with less pyro. you are willing to give the performer a pass but still accepting of paying top tier pricing, that's some real cognitive dissonance.

If your plumber increased his cost but gave you a worse job, would you give him a pass? Why is Axl Rose getting this pass?

Do we know a reason for no pyro? I'm a fan of a small setting with no pyrotechnics. But for a big setting like this tour , I love them ! I was used to seeing them with pryo . They charge an arm and a leg for the prices already. Why not ? I guess more money in their pockets than possibly a bigger show .

Here in Houston they are playing Minute Maid park. With tix prices so high they may not fill it. Been to see them 4 times 3 in the pit and once in a suite in Vegas. The tix prices blow those out of the water

That was too big of a venue for them this time around . If they had booked the Toyota Center is still wouldn't fill. Tickets will drop closer to the date .

  7. I personally don't think his rasp voice , or range will ever come back . And that's okay. A lot of people sing their lungs out , and don't even get pay attention to his struggling voice . I am glad I got to see his magical voice in 06/07, and in 2016. I've said before in other threads . GNR and Axl will always be my favorite, but for me personally, the time has come ,not bother seeing them live . If you used to see Michael Jordan in his Championship run, would you really want to see him in the Wizards? Maybe, just once . But I would hate that image of a slower older Jordan taking over my memory of a great run . That's how I think of Axl right now .

I’ve been to close to 20 GNR shows. Last show I saw was on the first NITL tour. Only way I’d ever see them again(especially since the performance level has decreased so much) is based on the opening band and new material.

You will always have fun at a GNR show, but I can’t pay for the same GNR playlist with bad interchangeable covers. If NuGuns was back I’d be more than happy to pay any amount of cash.

This is so spot on . I myself have seen Guns maybe 15 plus times. Last time was Dallas 2016. My first was the Hammerstein 2006 show! Those shows had so much energy. That is the reason I traveled around North America to see them . And Chinese democracy songs being played for the first times was special. Guns N' Roses is and will always be my favorite band , but I wouldn't want a current show to possibly spoil any great memories I have of seeing Guns . I've seen the videos from the last couple of years , and as much as it pains me to say this , Axl has lost his voice completely. I wanted to go see them in San Antonio, but looked up some recent concerts, no way !  The way I look at it .... Let's say my favorite player of all time is Tom Brady. And I've seen Brady many times , kick ass . I wouldn't go spend time and money to go see him again , if he performs very bad . Now , maybe if I've never seen him before . Sure why not ?
