Madagascar is supposedly about the old band but i think it's about Axl's battle aganist people who bring him down.

Chinese Democracy, well... Axl was inspired by it when he saw the end of the movie Kundun, where the Dalai Lama looked back on people who helped them and they were skeltons. And he said it had no pro's or con's aganist the chinese government. so maybe China was used as an example?

For CITR i don't have a clue... regretment? maybe that's why Axl sings "i wish i brought a gun"

Rhiad seems to be about something he could save us or someone else from.

but CD looks to be an amazing album

Was Rhiad listed as an optional for the whole European Tour? cause its a great song and i'd love to see 06 G'N'R do it

Oh My God is a class song. It's better live though due to the effects, extra vocals at the chorus and thew new guitar parts

And in late '06 they improve Madagascar

3 years and they come up with 3 re-records and 1 new song.

Maybe old fans need to get over the fact that it's a new century for GNR. But until Rose and his new crew can forge an identity with a new record one of these years, Guns N' Roses won't be able to escape the shadow of its former greatness.

he's right. GNR (not Axl) needs to move on and do the album, not old songs. i loved the concert i went to, but GNR mentioned fuck all about Chinese Democracy. in 01/02 GNR was in the Chinese Democracy theme. Axl talked about how this inspired him to write this.

i have to say tho Kaneda's right. in the 01.01.01 show i heard that they were all dressed up, and on the bootleg Axl actully talks about the songs and what inspired them, which is a extrodinairy touch.
