My votes for the best songs ever:
Dream Theater - Pull me under
Porcupine Tree - Arriving somewhere, not here..
Marillion - Invisible man
R.E.M. - Drive
Those were good. You're a bit of a prog fan, I see.
Mongoloid he was a mongoloid
You again?!?!?!

When they're good, they're good, when they're bad they're awful.
Prefered it before they went over-pomp and went all AOR. Seeing them live was great, brilliant voice, etc.
Halford's aged very well, his wife is one lucky lady

Anyone own the BBC Sessions COllection?
-
The guitarist from Wedding Present was of Polish ancestory, and so did a few Peel sessions as an E. European folk act with the Ukele, etc.

Buy a best of and see what you think, it'll really help if you see them, or else the songs belnd together. Very Spinal Tap-ey, especially the singer.
-
The Bleach LP alone wins it for them

I don't listen to them much. Rarely. I've been listening to a lot of Hardcore Good stuff, really.
Bad Brains? Husker Du?

Is it all him on an Accoustic?
-
I like The Chauffeur
-
Never listened to them? Are they similar to Mars Volta? Because I'm looking forward to their next release soon.

how hard he is cause he takes drugs,
I actually think he talks about the damaging effects drugs have on people, something we hear very little of in music.

I'd never thought I'd see Paul Merton wail out the Monster Mash.
Still crazy after all these years.

Bauhaus? Bloody hell

Viv Stanshall and co were brilliant.

4. Dark Magus - Miles Davis
I need to get that sometime as well.
I recently gave In Concert: Live at Philharmonic Hall a few listens and it just isn't that good.
What about Get Up With It? I don't have it.
Sorry, I changed it. I was gonna get that for ages but got a cheaper Big Fun instead, think they're pretty similar. Still needed Bitches Brew. Might steal it off my father. Is Philharmonic the one with the On the Corner-style cover? whats wrong with it?

I much prefer the earlier stuff before they went all arst and pretentious.
1. Velvet Underground & Nico
2. Trout Mask Replica - Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band
3. Fear of Music - Talking Heads
4. Automatic for the People - REM
5. Hunky Dory - David Bowie

It's an acceptable list. I'd rearrange some of it, but all the classics are present
Is anyone else much less interested in Guns N' Roses than they used to be?
