  1. I have a tendancy to wear a T-shirt representing the band I'm going to see, I wouldn't wear my Nickleback shirt to a BonJovi concert just because I collect tour shirts and wear them again to the bands next concert.

I can't see there being a problem with YUI shirts, the concert I went to in 2006 Axl and Sebastian Bach mentioned playing wembley stadium in 1991 so obviously have no issues with it, I'll be wearing it again when they come to England as it's my fav despite it being a bit faded now!

Firstly this isn't confirmed as having happened yet and maybe if it did there's concern over possible problems related to the whole "we want slash back" thing, who knows but at the end of the day thems the rules and I'd go along with it and enjoy my night.

  2. The ecconomy does have an effect on if people can afford to go to concerts, if tickets went on sale tonight sadly I would have to give it a miss although it would be the most gutting moment!!! However it looks like my part of the tour (if it carrys on into Europe) will be on sale later this year and I reckon I could manage it by then. I'm going to see Nickleback next week, I could afford the tickets at the time I bought them but because this is a crap month (long time til payday!) I'm going to find the travel costs and buying my tour T-shirt a struggle. I'm also seeing Bonjovi in the summer but that's only because my dad bought the tickets for my birthday. I'm also lucky because I can get into London easily and my folks will look after my daughter.

Back in 1991 my mates waited outside the box office all night to get our tickets for Wembley stadium, I was only working part time and it was a struggle to scrap the money together but I did it by cutting back on everything and begging my folks not to take their "keep" out for a couple of weeks, I was 17 and yep it does seem a long time ago!

Luxuries like concerts, especially for those of us who are now parents with responsibilities, are something that we can't always justify, first I have to keep a roof over our heads and feed everyone then I can look at what is left to buy concert tickets with.

Sales vary from country to country and even from place to place within that, in the UK Guns and Roses mostly sell out the arena concerts and I do reckon they will sell out the stadium again.

  3. I only know G n R are on tour because I do regular searches! There's been no real info, I'm on this forum (mostly reading sometimes posting) and a member of the offical site, no emails to let me know of the tour at all. I'm in the UK and ofcourse I'm hoping that by the summer he'll be coming here and if he's doing a stadium tour then I can't wait to go to Wembley Stadium again!!

Basically though Axl has been like this for long enough that we should all be used to it, I've said to lots of people I know that he'll announce each leg of his tour bit by bit instead of releasing a total fixture list and that I'll be lucky to get a couple of months notice that it's here and I need to get tickets! I'll be going though cos I wouldn't miss it for the world!

I went in 1991 when the original line up played Wembley Stadium and no other band has beaten that event to this day I also went in 2006 to Wembley Arena and still loved every minute of it. Back in the day Axl and the original line up did do more publicity and interviews but that's all changed probably because there are subjects like the break up he doesn't want to get into I'd guess.

I'm a die hard fan and I'll always follow them, I'll go to the concerts, buy the albums and argue with anyone who does G n R down I can understand why there are frustrated people who want more and those who wish the original band were together again but I'm happy with what I've got.

    Roll on the UK tour

  4. Just tried image shack but I still get "you are using a website that the administrator doesn't allow" (or something as near as damn it!)

Bummer, it used to be fairly easy to upload images to here but it seems to have gotten difficult!

Any advice appreciated (such as where I've gone wrong.......!)

  5. Back when I joined I was told to open a photobucket account for my pictures and then use the link from there to put them in posts, on my sig etc well I went to do that today and low and behold I got a message saying that this is a site that isn't allowed on here.

When did this change and where do I need to put my pictures now to be able to add them to posts if I want to?

    Appreciate some help

    Cheers

  6. weird al yankovich is very funny, also my son sent me a song to my mobile called London Underground (sung to the tune of going underground) that's amusing. I heard one ages ago called "lifes gonna suck when you grow up" that was hilliarious but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

  7. Did a check of all the popular music stores and quite a few have chinese democracy listed now and ALL have the same date 17th Sept 07

    HMV

    Play.com

    Amazon

    Virgin

    Tesco

As someone who often checks to see who has it listed this is the first time I've found it on so many places and all with the same potential release dates too, usually they all have different ones or none at all!

So is that a possibility or is it just another guess by the music stores? Clutching at straws but desperatly wishing this is the real deal!

  8. My other half goes away fishing to France for a week at a time twice a year and in return I get 2 concerts a year and he buys the tickets for me. I've had one, Bon Jovi opening the o2 arena and I've turned down other concerts because I'm saving it up for Guns n Roses again so I'm hoping they play here again!I'd love to see them at Wembley Stadium again but my other half reckons they wouldn't be able to sell it out any more! What do you guys think?Jo
If you got a job, then you could buy your own tickets to concerts, so you don't feel restricted.
Oi cheeky I got a job actually it's just not that well paid! It's also a matter of taking time away from home and leaving the man in charge, I don't get to do that more than a couple of times a year.

  10. I'm hoping Europe next, not forgetting that at the end of last years concert we were told that "Axl would see us next year" (this year!!) To be honest I'm not that bothered about if the album comes out before he comes to the UK, it'd be great of course but hey I'd still be straight online booking tickets even it's not out!! I'm now wondering where they'll play in London this time? Not only is there Wembley Stadium and Arena, Hammersmith which they've played before there's the o2 arena now. I went to the opening of o2 to see Bon Jovi with my mate and it's a bloody good venue.

I've already sorted it at work that if the chance to go to Guns n Roses comes up suddenly someone will swap with me if I'm working that night! It's such a pain that dates aren't announced until the last minute but I'll get there, my other half knows how much I want to go so I'll get there!

Come on Axl, the last dates on the offical web site are for the end of the month! Time to announce where your off to in August and September, please, put us out of our misery!!!

  11. Sebastian Bach is a great opener, saw Skid row open in 1991 and it rocked to have Bach again in 2006, especially all those old Skid Row songs, he even dedicated Youth gone wild to those of us who were at Wembley stadium in 1991, for me and my mate that was a bloody big highlight!!!!

Rock on Seb and I hope you and GnR come back to the UK this year, we're waiting!!

    Jo

  12. Once CD is finally released we can all start talking about the next album and when he plans to get round to that! Don't forget how we'll all be looking forward to seeing them live again and how long he'll tour for, will he come back to Europe to play next year as Merek promised? I for one hope so! In fact fuck it if he doesn't release the album I'll still pay to go see GnR!

  13. As a long term fan I've always accepted that Axl and co are a law unto themselves especially with time keeping, for me and my mates this was always the attraction! They come on late they always play past the legal time for the venues licence, their unpredictable and completly unreliable I LOVE EM!!!!!!!!! Don't forget for us oldies there was no internet and we just showed up and waited at wembley stadium and Axl makes a big thing about how long we waited for him! My mates slept outside the box office all night to get our tickets and boy was it worth it!

I've thrown a sickie and risked my job to see them, I'be begged and borrowed and over spent when I can't afford to I've scrimped every penny for a ticket, waited in line for hours and bought everything they released. As a 17 year old girl I've walked the streets of London to get home after they've over run and started late, I lived alone in a shitty bedsit and that concert was the highlight of my life at that point! If you love them and want to see them you can over come anything!!!!!!!!!!!

If they come back to the UK next year NOTHING and NO-ONE will stop me going!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. When I was at school there was the trendies who listened to Bros, new kids on the block and everything stock aiken and waterman released, they wore DMs with grolsh tops on and mummy and daddy supplied them with all the in designer lables. My crowd were the goth types, we listened to rock, metal, the doors and the smiths, we wore lots of black, floaty tops, DM boots ect. Of course my crowd were the coolest in the school (I'm still in touch with most of mates from back then and we're still cool!)

  15. I've stuck with it for years, I went to use your illusion when there was no album released, I'll always be a fan but I will be disapointed if CD doesn't come out this year. I'm still hopeful of it appearing in the shops near Christmas time, no promo, no ads, no interviews just the album suddenly being on the shelves! My only concern is that no shops seem to have anything on it comming and it does seem a bit strange that they wouldn't get some notice of it..........

    Jo

  16. I've been asking in local record shops too but no one seems to know anything which is a bit suss as it's supposed to be with them in the next few weeks! The young girl in woolies was very helpful but only just knew who Guns n Roses were, when she asked how long I'd been waiting for a release of this album she chuckled at my respnse of "oh years actually!" Anyway most places took my phone number and said they'd call if there was any news.

  17. As a teenager they were part of my rebellion, my parents hated their music and everything they read about them was negative, as a parent now myself Axl has become a symbol of my youth and how I can still feel like a rebel from time to time! The music spoke for my generation and me and my friends loved it, we sat around my mates record player booming out AFD over and over drinking vodka and smoking illicit fags!!

  18. Starts to make you wonder what he makes of us all and some of the things that get said on here! For the record Axl I think your awsome and have been a loyal fan since the 80s, thanks for the concert and I'll be there when you come to the UK again (hopefully next year!) How about a back stage pass??! :)

    Jo

I'm sure he will take that very seriously(if you hadn't have asked for a backstage pass).

    Couldn't resist the last part!

    Jo

  21. 30th July 2006 Wembley Arena: When the lights dropped and the spots started and we all started buzzing then the music and the pyratechnics, the feeling in the whole Arena was electric Guns N Roses were here!!

Hearing Axl whistle the intro to Patience, gave me goosebumps.

Merec saying that Axl's looking forward to seeing us next year!

31st August 1991 Wembley Stadium: When Axl ran down to the end of the stage and we had the best view of him in his sexy lycra shorts, he then stood there and sang for quite a while! (night train)

Axl doing November Rain on the piano, for us this was the first time we'd heard the song and seen him on the piano, it was so different it was cool.

Axl saying he wouldn't wipe his fucking ass on Kerrang!

Loved both concerts so very hard to have any favourite bits but have tried to chose the ultimate ones!!

    Jo

Oh of course, seeing sweet child of mine live, especially with Slash doing his brilliant bit on the guitar, still makes me shiver!
